Mr_President 404
great first touch and was it finished on his weaker foot? If I recall correctly his first touch was woeful during pre-season - guess his touch will improve with more game time/confidence, looks a good prospect. Hutcho 8,443
We could have an amazing striker for up to 15 years. Now that is obviously going a bit over the top etc as its still very early on, but i can't think of many better promising youngsters with his attributes. I don't expect kids to come up to the big time will a lot of composure. It's called a maturation process.

As you saw today, the kid has loads of potential. Imagine if he was playing for le arse or l'puke right now. Would you be happy about that? Rmpr 8,977
I believe CFC fans want Lukaku to be the 2nd option ahead of torrid xDI want Torres out, not anyone ahead him!I am 99% sure we will buy Falcao/Cavani, so he will be third option...He is too good to be used in 10 games a season. robdog
The only place to be 11,313
There's a good case for letting him come back in the summer and fight for a spot in the team. With Torres (hopefully) gone then why not let him step up? He seems ready to really stake a claim and we really need to strengthen in other areas before we start looking at the likes of Cavani or Falcao. I'd rather spend £40 million on the midfield than one striker - it doesn't seem to work that well for us. Mufassir08

diskoviolente 425
Nice little habit of scoring against Liverpool there. Hopefully he´ll keep doing that whenever that will be.
Popular Post! Stats 7,142 Posted February 11, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted February 11, 2013 Lukaku pretty much has everything: pace, acceleration, strength, heading ability, technique, decent right foot, movement and most importantly goals. We are very lucky to have him here, surely to be one of the best strikers in the world has he grows older. Frightening thing is he is still a teenager, yes a teenager. So exciting watching him play. I remember last season him getting criticised for his price tag and not contributing much but now I am glad he is proving himself and showing what qualities he brings. DH1988 1,348
Still massively inconsistent for me, happy for him to stay at WBA for a while longer!£13m well spent though Blue Gino

Gily 37
Lots of bandwagoning going on in the last pages, it's obvious who hasn't seen the past WBA matches.Today he only played 20 minutes, more than half of them against a demoralized Liverpool with a retiring 35-year-old defender in their back 2 ( can't call it back 4 with the performance of Johnson & José Enrique today ).Yes he can already be a great striker for Chelsea but no because he won't win you anything. He's not ready yet and will definitely need another loan, preferably to another team with a bit more quality who don't resort to counterattacking from the start.
