Gary Reid 25
To be fair to the lad last season wasn't the best season to be trying to impress, alot of the squad played their worst football of their Chelsea careers last season. Fingers crossed we'll get out of the blacks running in pre-season and the early league games and see the team playing with more fluidity and confidence. That'll make it easier for the likes of Lukaku to impress and force thier way into the first team. Hamilton
calculatingInfinity 1,472
I can think of better clubs to loan him to than Copenhagen..Sure. But Jacobs loves Lukaku so he would be secured constantly playing if he came here and possible play champions league football or at least Europe league, something he wouldn't in any premier league team really. But of course the home grown rule is a big deal.To be fair to the lad last season wasn't the best season to be trying to impress, alot of the squad played their worst football of their Chelsea careers last season. His agent Christophe Henrotay even said Copenhagen would be great for Lukaku, but Chelsea won't allow it. The Danish league is pretty weak, around the same level as the Belgian, but he would also get lots of European experience in either CL or Europa League. BlueSanti 290
He should be either loaned to Stoke or stay with us and get his time in Capital One Cup and games that we will lead 20 minutes before end or so. Or even some easy games. We were able to win lot of game with Torres on pitch playing shit, so we can risk this with Lukaku.

I argued suggesting he is guaranteed playing time at many other clubs of better standard. Don't get in a tiffy cos I'm suggesting Copenhagen are shit... European football at a club that won't progress is nothing. Would you send him to CFR Cluj? It's ridiculous to suggest that Copenhagen are even nearly good enough. Remember, they gave Barcelona a good run in 2010. So much so that they had to resort to blatant cheating and despicable behaviour like this:Poor N'Doye Also they are ranked Europe's 42nd best club. To put that in perspective, Juventus are 41 and Spartak Moscow are 43.

capriccioso 2,545
They tend to show up against big teams. I remember they beat United about 3 years ago, and they performed fairly well against us. They held Barcelona to a 1-1 draw as well without parking the bus, and they could have beaten them if it weren't for that cunt Valdes. The Danish league isn't that great but it'll still be good for his confidence and development to return to his free scoring Anderlecht days. If he stays in England he won't get as many goals. It'll do him a lot of confidence to come back to Chelsea on the back of 20 goals rather than 10.
