In 2nd season he still delivered Fa Cup and in the league he won more points than Lampard and Lampard/Tuchel. Let's remember only good things. Courtois won both those trophies plus an additional PL and league cup. Does the same apply to him?

No. But Conte did not do much wrong. He just couldn't hide frustration because he was in environment that was not able to match his ambition. He was the biggest victim in second season. If that City game was worst thing people remember that's not bad. I'm even with Tuchel frustrated at times with his pragmatism. Are we going to boo him in a couple of years when he comes with other team? Mourinho was booed because he signed for United and called Judas. In these times it's expected every top manager to go to PL rival because PL is the best. And we change managers often. Lampard went to City and was not really successful manager, are we going to boo him?

But one thing I will give him, atleast he waited until he was actually at another club before he threw the support we gave him back in our faces. OhForAGreavsie 6,075
I know people get upset when current, or even former, players say that XYZ are a bigger club than us but it never bothers me. I've loved this club for all but the first six years of my life. I bring the passion, I want players to bring the talent and the effort. I don't need them to lie to me and it certainly doesn't bother me if they tell the truth. Unless I get a negative covid result tomorrow I won't be there but I hope fans either get behind Rom or stay quiet. We don't need to keep putting on an off the pitch show for the world. We've entertained the football public enough this past week. Let the circus move on. Edited January 5, 2022 by OhForAGreavsie

That entire game at the Etihad became a meme in my eyes. Conte's prematch comments about having to 'suffer'.. Fabregas standing like a zombie in front of an attacking City player. Nauseating stuff. I'm half convinced that this was the game that made Hazard 100% convinced that he needed to move. Tomo

I mentioned previously actions will speak louder than words. I'm hoping this humbles Lukaku but serves as additional motivation for him to make an impact here. Scoring goals and helping us win games is what we need. All for pragmatism in situations like these, so will agree. Infuriating stuff and I feel this will need revisiting in the summer, but if Tuchel himself has decided to stick with Lukaku, then why should us fans think any different.? Any other time I've veered towards wanting a manager out it's been a slow burn over months. Before that game I was very much on the train of give him a season to redime himself, that game turned me with no going back. Anyways he will be here at least for the shorterm and hopefully get rid of him in the summer. Could be worse still, we have only one of these lazy entitled players in our squad, the report about United squad this morning would be much harder to deal with, so I think we're lucky our situation isn't as bad. What's the deal with United squad?
