He's 20, inexperienced in this high level game, inexperienced in the physical and tempo nature of the PL,

He is doing more than fine, our best Holding midfielder we have and why he doesn't play baffles me.

I truly never understand all the praise he got when he put in average performances, In my account his performances has been severely overrated.

No disrespect, but you truly do not football and the role of a holding midfielder.

A reason why it pisses me off,

Busquets, known for his diving and his play antics, but his football is truly remarkable. He vastly underrated by the light of Xavi, Iniesta, and Messi, Without Busquets, Barcelona don't create transition very well. Romeu has similar qualities but has a physical nature to his play, which i believe he will someday reach a level beyond Busquets given enough playing time.

Oriol hasn't been that bad these past month, certainly not on the level Meireles has been the past month or Lampard has for most of the season.

The only problem is because his fantastic first few games he was getting hyped up as superman so he was only ever going to disappoint after that.

Busquets is not underrated, i have considered him the best DM in the world for a while now. And only EPL fans in general underrate him because they rate DM based on how hard one tackle.

You show lack of knowledge if you consider Romeu anything like Busquets, they are nothing a like. Busquets biggest strengths are his positioning and movement off the ball. Romeu is nowhere close in these areas.

Fact is Romeu would never get significant time in midfield at Barca, he would most likely be competing as a CB. If Barca ever buys him back, it will most likely be at that area.

Don't see how some of yous can say Romeu is overrated, earlier this season he was our best midfielder. He used the ball well every time he received it, he also distributed it well to the attacking players and broke up many opposition attacks. The fact he had only played for Barcalona B before, he has made brilliant progress in my opinion but I'm sure he knows that he was going to play when Essien was injured more than anything, just hope AVB drops Meireles and gives him another run in the team. I think next year he will be playing much more regularly as AVB will start to reshape the team to his liking and Romeu is perfect for his philosophy.

- Oriol Romeu made his first start (Carling Cup matches aside) for Chelsea against Wolves in the 3-0 home victory, prior to that match Chelsea lost 4 out of the last 7 matches only winning 2 (one of those in extra time at Goodison).

- Including the Wolves match, Chelsea went on to win 4 of the next 5 games with Oriol starting them all, the exception being the 2-0 Carling Cup loss to Liverpool in which Oriol was the best Chelsea player on the night anyway.

- Got took off at Wigan at half time while we were cruising towards a clean sheet, looked all over the place in the second half aswell as for most of the first half at WHL until Romeu came on.

- Take Romeu off in the 60th minute against Aston Villa with the score 1-1, hey presto Villa start creating numerous chances and end up 3-1 winners.

- Romeu then plays the full 90 minutes in our wins at Molineux and at home to Sunderland.

- Since the Sunderland match Romeu has only started once and we have only won once.

Pattern starting to emerge? Why on earth is this guy not playing EVERY GAME.

I would've much preferred he started instead of Rami yesterday. The later have been abysmal since returning from injury.

I think señor buy back clause should be out in the summer before he turns into another Fabregas.

Let Barca develop their own youth players......we arent a feeder club.
