Don't know how much it was in pounds at the time but in euros the price was around €52 million. Insane amount of money for a goalkeeper, especially given the fact this transfer happened 13 years ago when the market wasn't anywhere near as inflated as it is now.

First De Bruyne, then Mata and I feel soon it will be Courtois too. Jose loves Cech too much and never worked with Courtois before, he will think that its too much risk to trust such young GK.

And then on top, there will be our great negotiating board who will sell 35mio worth Courtois (certainly by today standards, his age and form) for about 15-20mio.

The worst thing is that our Belgian players actually have the talent to assume such arrogant attitude towards the club. Courtois, for example, is already regarded as one of the greatest keepers in the world and he is just 21. If he continues to develop and improve, he has the potential to become one of the greatest of all time.

So we have little choice but to put up with this type of shit.
