bluephoenix 1,131
I really dont know ... I am kind of tired seeing such threads every season with a different name I really wanted CA to stay for atleast another season before we decided to sack him but that didn't happen ... now If CA was sacked by the board for a poor performance last season I don't see any reason why the board will keep AVB .... Tomo 21,751
Pep would never sign for us Strangely enough if Jose leaves Madrid and we finish outside the top 4 and sack AVB, i can see Jose relishing the chance to return, we (for Roman's standards) will be at complete rock bottom, Jose comes back sorts us out with the extra added bonus of making AVB look silly. As far as massaging ego's go, you might aswell give Jose a full body one on the house. If AVB get's sacked now (god for bid) why Rafa? our players will tie him up on a pole by the end of the week Zola will be the best option, Zola IS MR CHELSEA for me and always will be, the players will know that and they know if they undermine Zola or even try then the fans will truly only take one side. Hopefully it never even comes to this and we just think long term with AVB for once.

Peace. 4,352
why would Pep want to leave Barca? He only signs an one-year contract, every years. Thus, if he doesn't do well with Barça, he will leave them by himself. That's what he said at least.

Whoever the boss, what he says should go. Players shouldn't even be given the space to undermine the manager. Kick the brats out in the summer. Term-X 7,891
It's a win win situation for AVB, if sacked he will get a £20m+ pay off. Plus this won't even harm is reputation, as many clubs now see Chelsea as a joke with an impatient owner. So there will at least be a few semi-big clubs who would happily employ him after this. BleedsBlue 1,549
I am so happy that AVB hasn't been sacked yet.Reports suggest that Pep would consider a move to Chelsea but I highly doubt he will. The man is a respected manager and I see no reason why he would want to come here apart from the obvious increase in pay.Benitez is jobless so he will be desperate for the job while Jose could possibly return.Roman paid Porto 13m for AVB.13M!!!!!! Mediocre teams have a transfer budget of less than that and yet they are capable of playing better football than us.AVB is not the problem, the players are.Instead of axing the manger its time we axe the players.I still believe in AVB and I hope you all do too. The person who take the place will need to do a lot of stuff...first of all, a bitchslap for some players lol (players who believe they are over the manager/club).What Challenge? That only challenge would be to survive like all his predecessors. This season and probably the next was suppose to be transition phase for us where we get in new players and roll out the old ones. And i guess that why we got a young manager who would be adventurous to do it but whatever he did with the current lot has mis-fired terribly and now his ass is on the fire. So under pressure he cant take risk and he is left with passion less players who dont give a damn abt the gaffer because they know there would be a new one next season. This is what is going to happen with any new manager that comes in and the only reason to come in at Chelsea right now wouldnt be because of a challenge but because of the money they would be getting.
