Sheva. 5,373
Did you catch his conference? How did he answer the questions about the players backing?Nope, and i was referring to this quote: "There was a meeting of technical staff and players, nothing dramatic"But on the Sun "Players fight with AVB, IN FRONT OF ROMAN" lol. kiaretta985 131
Nope, and i was referring to this quote: "There was a meeting of technical staff and players, nothing dramatic"But on the Sun "Players fight with AVB, IN FRONT OF ROMAN" lol."the sun" is well-known even abroad for its "big news". And if the players aren't happy with that, they can happily f**k off and find another team. I'm tired of us being a joke, the only team in the world where the players have more power than the gaffer. Fernando 6,585
Yup it looks like the same stuff different manager.I pointed how the new manager effect shows its base down to the player.AVB looked world class the first month or so, his tactics where brilliant. Then the players regress to their perpetual state of laziness. And now the players are not happy with the manager so they play like shit in the field....Roman if he is smart he will learn what has to be done. Support the AVB project and fired those that always try to demise the coach and play whenever they feel like!
francozola 2,040
I'm happy that roman seems to be supporting him 100%. I really don't think AVB will get the sack even if we finish 5th this season. Promising signs from Roman that he is willing to give him some time. cujo101 75
When asked on Thursday whether he still had the support of his players, Villas-Boas told a news conference: "They don't have to back my project, only the owner needs to back my project."Really?Bye bye Andre... Idiot 71
No one should be bigger than the club and we have to establish this thinkin in our new squad spearheaded with many homegrown players and a long-term coach
TrueBlue1905 5
Is it though? League points are the only reliable indicator and afaik we're still doing better than in 10/11.That's a good point. When you compare our position in the league after 25 games to the 10/11 season, we are only 1 point worse off this year so in that respect it isn't such a dramatic decline however, besides the 3-0 defeat against Sunderland last season I can't remember us being so vulnerable at home as we have been this season.A classic example are the two Villa matches where we lost 3-2 to a last minute goal in 10/11 but were soundly beaten this year having taking the lead. manpe 10,861
I have a feeling that if he was to be sacked, Roman would have done so already. At least he's showing more patience than before.
Term-X 7,891
However, he did concede that there are now members of his squad who do not support his methods. "That is normal," he said.Lmao, how is that 'normal' exactly?.. players actively not supporting your methods..
Clevemayer 764
this IS normal but it is NOT normal that this player have the opportunity to say him or behave in a ceratin way to show they dont like his tactics... they don't have to like them... they just have to do it on the pitch... diskoviolente 425
Lmao, how is that 'normal' exactly?.. players actively not supporting your methods..They get shipped out. Zlatan at Barca for example.Simply as that. If we want Chelsea to win trophies long term and on a regular basis we can´t have a pragmatic coach, we need someone with an idea that is shaping the youth and transferpolicy. Guardiola at Barca, Fergie at ManU. Boas tries to do a similar thing that makes Chelsea special. We all agreed that change was needed.I am happy to see this trough and have something that makes Chelsea outstanding from other clubs and gives us stability. Not a big fan of Carlos or Hiddinks pragmatic conservatism.
diskoviolente 425
Having said that, it is stupid to blurb something like that out in a press conference. The players really need to get their head down after this if they got some pride left in wearing the blue shirt.AVBs statement might as well backfire in the most horrible way. Can´t wait for this season to finish and overwrite some games with the boring Euro´s .

Nope...then we have Sturridge unhappy for being played off positionLamps unhappy for not starting+ highlineand this is only what we know from watching Chelsea.I am not surprised though... Bosnian Blue 2,471
They don't have to back his project. Stupid thing to say cause ultimately they are the ones who actually play. That is definitely not normal.

DDA 9,938
Lets just face the simple and plain fact that all the problems within the dressing room and on the pitch started last season before Carlo was sacked. That was why Roman handed him his p45. AVB is taking all the flack for this and it just isn't fair, i personally think any player who has the cheek to stand against Andre in the short amount of time he has been here is a fucking disgrace to our club. End Of!
