Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

It's a win win situation for AVB, if sacked he will get a £20m+ pay off. Plus this won't even harm is reputation, as many clubs now see Chelsea as a joke with an impatient owner. So there will at least be a few semi-big clubs who would happily employ him after this.

More importantly why pep want to go to chelsea, when our best player (mata) probably will struggle to get a place in barca

Maybe a challenge? The person who take the place will need to do a lot of stuff...first of all, a bitchslap for some players lol (players who believe they are over the manager/club).

I am so happy that AVB hasn't been sacked yet.Reports suggest that Pep would consider a move to Chelsea but I highly doubt he will. The man is a respected manager and I see no reason why he would want to come here apart from the obvious increase in pay.Benitez is jobless so he will be desperate for the job while Jose could possibly return.

Roman paid Porto 13m for AVB.13M!!!!!! Mediocre teams have a transfer budget of less than that and yet they are capable of playing better football than us.AVB is not the problem, the players are.Instead of axing the manger its time we axe the players.I still believe in AVB and I hope you all do too.

What Challenge? That only challenge would be to survive like all his predecessors. This season and probably the next was suppose to be transition phase for us where we get in new players and roll out the old ones. And i guess that why we got a young manager who would be adventurous to do it but whatever he did with the current lot has mis-fired terribly and now his ass is on the fire. So under pressure he cant take risk and he is left with passion less players who dont give a damn abt the gaffer because they know there would be a new one next season.

This is what is going to happen with any new manager that comes in and the only reason to come in at Chelsea right now wouldnt be because of a challenge but because of the money they would be getting.

Rebuilding a whole team is a challenge. Guardiola did changes in Barcelona, we need some of that here, but i really doubt he comes.

Doubtful, he has stated that the stress of managing Barca is too much for him. Chelsea would only be more stressful, new country, new language etc.

Guess u didnt get what i was saying ... I know rebuilding a whole team is a challenge but when a manager comes over here his challenge is more of survival if things dont go their way

But who has AVB got to blame? He has said certain things and not performed them. It doesn't take a genius to figure out we need mata in the middle. Or a CF who scores. It doesn't take a genius to figure out we need a playmaker and a winger and a RB. All those things are pretty clear. He stated he would play youth, so even though he hasn't got any of the things we need, he could turn to youth. But he doesn't. Where does this leave us? We a team that doesn't want to play for the club and I think Alan Hansen put it best when he said that is an issue with just about every single member of our squad. We don't just need an overhaul, we need Capital and a hell of a lot of it spent to bring this squad back up to scratch.

Yep they really are a half hearted shower at best this season. This should really put a nail in the coffin of the hopes people have of an FA cup or CL winning season....no hope what so ever.

PS i asked on Twitter but never heard back from you, were some of our fans singing sacked in the morning or was that typical media hype, please tell me the latter

Yep, we were. Well, I didn't. But most did.

Exactly!!! You cant replace the manager when the problem will still remain! They'll play well for a few games then go back to being shite as they have in the past

they would have a few games then when one of them gets left on the bench we will be going through all of this yet again, rafa is a big no no from me, remeber all his rotation and never played his strongest squad, the only good id see from getting rafa in is we would get the best from Torres...

Its gotta be hard as well coming in midway through summer with little time to acces their weakness and work out fully what sort of players he needs.Last if he stays he'll have a clear idea

I think he has a very clear idea now who he wants out but it seems to be commen knowledge that he hasnt had control of new signings he openly said lakuku, de brien (not sure on the spelling) wasnt his, but its that catch 22, if we dont finish top 4 who is going to come ??? so will we end up selling players and not being able to buy the quality we need ?

People wanted him to go crazy in the transfer market. It's really unfair to ask him to do that in his first year. The manager has to have a chance with the team he has, he needs time to work with them before he decides who can get out and who can stay. If he woulda told half the team to fuck off and we were doing bad then everyone would have been like why the fuck didnt he keep so and so. A manager who dismantles an entire team and the players in his first year is stupid, you need time to do that. That said he could have done something in the winter window, but we all know how hard to buy someone in that period is.

Anyways, I hope he stays, don't see how sacking him will help matters at all.

But we was just as poor last season and he could of done his research and put a plan in to faze some of the players he didnt want and bring in the players he wanted, he had plenty of tim in the summer to start the 'project' still support him and thinks he should stay..

Depends what team turns up..if they go the way they did against Valencia then we have a good shot..perform like today and gana be embrassing.

AVB today picked a team which pretty much is capeable of results...if they didnt play like shite as well then we would've gotten a result!

The team yesterday that AVB got gunned down for NOT playing against Napoli, because things would have been different in Italy apparently !!!!! you could name on one hand and still have fingers left over the players that actually made an effort yesterday and this is the biggist thing for me the players that say they are stout chelsea through and through but dont perform for the badge and for the fans formost.

I think Roman has realized what he had when Jose was at the helm and is going to let Jose buy the groceries and cook the dinner himself. This carousel needs to stop and unfortunately, the reoccuring theme is the lack of respect for AVB. Too big of a job too soon. Maybe he will be able to manage personalities like this in 5-8 years, but not right now.

I understand that no matter who the manager is, we still have the players we have but what has AVB done that is overly impressive. He swooped in and got Mata. Lukaku and KDB already wanted to make the move to CFC. Thibaut is starting to settle in at Athletico but was AVB completely responsible for the signing? I'm not sold on his ability to set the line up, make the right substitution let alone control a mind like David Luiz and teach him how to play. We will be lucky to make the top 4. Arsenal is playing their best football of the year right now and it doesn't look like we can catch them unless these players play for the crest and not the check. It just seems that every decision he is forced to make, he makes it harder than it needs to be and over thinks what needs to be done.

I understand the idea to sit the older players like Drogba, Terry, Cole, Lampard, etc at some point in the season but we don't have any fringe players that are good enough to crack the top 11 that need more experience. He lost control of the team when he took Sturridge off vs Manchester United. At that point, he took his foot off the gas pedal of the entire squad and sat back and waited for the game to come to him rather than attacking it.

why would Pep want to leave Barca?

He only signs an one-year contract, every years. Thus, if he doesn't do well with Barça, he will leave them by himself. That's what he said at least.

Yeah exactly, and he doesn't like how the new administration is treating the old one. Pep is a man of principle (which is always admirable) so he won't commit to such injustices in his eyes.

The exact reason why he won't come to Chelsea. He'd have seen how ruthless this board is, he will, even if he comes he'll continue to sign 1-year deals. Now this is idea for both clubs, saves us a big compensation pay out and allows him to cover his own ass. But a. We won't like that & b. He simply won't like the challenge of Chelsea.

I don't know who'd actually want to come here. Fat Waiter only, because he has no options and after Inter his reputation is pretty much ruined.
