The Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou hit out at Fernando Torres last night when he said that Roman Abramovich should not have brought the sulky ex-Liverpool striker into the team in January.

Torres took his time opening his goalscoring account at Chelsea, and Kalou says that the Spanish international was more interested in whether he was picked to play in the first team rather than making sure the team was winning.

“Our players were preoccupied with finding out who was in the side and who wasn’t. This disrupted our progress.

“It is better to build a team gradually than to bring in players who will pout and sulk.”

“Our team is used to winning and when we end up losing, things become hard for us.

“Yes, we won nothing this year but successive seasons do not resemble one another.”

That doesn’t augur well for Chelsea next season, especially if Didier Drogba stays on at Stamford Bridge. Whoever the new manager is is certainly going to have problems keeping both Drogba AND Torres happy….

He could only be talking about Torres. Because this is a recent quote, and David Luiz is clearly not the type of personality who would warrant hostility from villains like Kalou.

Kalou is a poisonous element in this team. He's an inferior player who envies anyone keeping him on the bench. He's also deluded because he believes he's good enough for Chelsea. "Pout & sulk".. All I know is te article mentioned Torres inspite of Torres being preferred over Drogba in key games. I don't deny that players do this but to specifically mention Torres when Kalou didnt and thereby try to destabilize us is something that pisses me off
