I am really unsure about this. In one hand i think, oh my.... a chance to see him in a blue shirt once again. In the other i think, why..... you left at the top. Your last kick in a Chelsea shirt was to win the CL for us. The only way from there is down. Do not ruin it. On a purely football view, can he really offer us anything on the pitch? I am not so sure. An impact sub maybe but not much more. If he is on his way back to coach Lukaku then do it on the training field not on the pitch. He will always be a legend here for what he did and rightly so. I just fear if he returns to play and flops a little. It may take some of the gloss off that.

Why is this debate still going on? I think it is quite clear he will still be with us for the coming season.

Jose proved last season he doesn't rotate his back 5. So barring injury or suspension nothing will change. They won't be rested. If you read my other post it shows how with our versatile defenders we can cover even two players being out at one time. Any more than that (agan like i said in my other post) would be extremely unlucky and not a thing you can really plan for. So if you actually think about it, it isn't 'verging on madness' at all is it.

I get where you are coming from in regards to the 'title winning squads' rather than young talent and i agree to a certain extent but we have some fantastic young defenders here. Also with FFP in full force now i think we would be silly to let these boys slip away. The only way we will find out ifthese lads will cope is if they get thrown in at the deep end. If we start off with a back 4 of; Azpi, Cahill, JT, Luis, Every eventuality is covered. Azpi injured - Iva covers JT/Cahill injured - Iva covers Luis injured - Iva to RB, Azpi to LB Both Azpi and a CB injured - Iva in at RB, Zouma in at CB Both fullbacks injured - Iva and Bertrand/PVA cover Both CB injured - Iva and Zouma cover Anything more than 2 injuries/suspensions at one time i think will be extremely unlucky. I believe we will have adequate cover.

I would have added Kalas into that group but he has obvioisly gone out on loan. Lol. What would you suggest? I would be reluctant to buy as we already have fantastic young defenders. (Kalas, Ake, Zouma and Omerou) and buying a proven, £100,000 a week player will just block their path.

A season long loan at West Ham would be fantastic. A season of Premier League football under his belt will do wonders for his development and experience. Definately hope this happens. With West Ham or any other Premier League club for that matter.

You cannot expect to run away with the title in this league. It just doesn't happen. Look how tight the league was last year. Do you honestly think we have moved that far forward and everybody backwards in one summer? I don't think so. It will be tighter than ever IMO. I think we have a fantastic chance though. We have improved in crucial areas. We have a striker (finally!!) Fabregas (who i believe we have bought to partner Matic) with his vision and creativity adds something we have not had in the centre of our midfield. And a world class goalkeeper. This makes us favourites IMO. My expectation is to win the league. I am quietly confident we will do that. Any cups would be an added bonus. Having said that if we don't win anything again then calls for Jose to go are ludicrous. We are still rebuilding our team here. It is a slow process, one that needs time. I'm not saying we require another 'transitianal' season. We are almost there. Stay patient. But with what we have and can do. It could be a memorable season.

Why no Cahill?

I really hope he gets his opportunity with us this season. No loans. Give him his chance and watch him fly.
