  1. Where you sitting? I'm off to The Bridge tomorrow as well. £25 quid you can't go wrong there, and 5 loyalty points Hopefully as straight forward a win as possible, an early goal and routine 3/4-0 win for me.
  2. I mentioned this in the post match thread and I am going to put it here as well now since this was locked at the time. I have changed my opinion on the Lamps situation. When it all happened I was upset and angry. Watching him after his goal, he just got up and walked away. He looked gutted. After the game he barely acknowledged the City fans and went straight to the Chelsea fans. It looked as if he was going to burst into tears. In 3 post match interviews of his I have seen of his, he always referred to City as 'City' or 'this club', he never used the words 'us' or 'we'. I don't think he feels any affiliation with them at all. He is a Chelsea boy at heart and always will be. And as for people who say he shouldn't have scored? He is a professional footballer! His job is to do the best for Manchester City. That's why they pay his wages! He is not going to gather the ball, turn around and hoof it clear is he! He may have taken two points off us yesterday but after all the points he won for us over the years, all the championships, cups and memories. I'll forgive him for it
  3. Haha!! I know I was the performance has settled my nerves for future games though.... hopefully anyway! Haha! Like you said, we would have taken a point at the start of the game so can't be too downbeat. And as for Lamps, read my previous post, mate. It's all good when you think about it and the dust has settled.
  4. Lamps is a City player, they pay his wages. What do you expect him to do when the ball fell at his feet 10 yards out? Control it, turn around and smash it down field? It is his job to do his best for City. No matter what your feelings are on it, that's the facts. Deal with it and move on. Me personally have changed my opinion on him slightly. The way he didn't celebrate after his goal, the way he pretty much disregarded the City fans and went straight for our Chelsea boys (who by the way were fantastic singing his name after he came on and after he scored). He looked like he was going to burst into tears at the end of the game. He looked gutted. I was listening to a guy on talksport (a radio phone in show here in England for those who don't know) and a Chelsea fan came on and said, yes, watching him score against us hurt like hell and he took away 2 points from us, but how many points did this man win for us over the years? As for the game, we played well I thought. Our defence was solid. On the counter we looked dangerous at times. Although i thought Willian was dyer and Schurrle did more in the 25 or so mins he was on than Willian did in the hour he played. Unlucky in the end getting done with 5 minutes to go. Overall could have been better but could have been worse. Would have taken a point before the game. Don't have to go to The Etihad again this season. Job well done. A good point.
  5. I have a bad feeling about this. Somebody please help put my mind at ease.
  6. Eidur and Jimbo got 51 goals between them in that 01-02 season!! Lethal!
  7. Quality!! At least there will be a major international trophy in London. Even if we don't win it
  8. Does anyone know when the result will be announced?
  9. I would take a draw here. To keep them 5 points behind would be fantastic imo. Defensivley we have to wake up though. If we defend like we have been doing we will get ripped apart.
  10. Why is Drogba one of the greatest Chelsea players ever? Is that a serious question? Maybe his 157 goals for the club (the 4th highest in our history) maybe the 100 premier league goals (only African to achieve that) maybe the 4 Fa Cup final goals in 4 Fa Cup finals. Maybe the 8 cup final goals in 8 cup finals. Maybe the countless times he has scored massive goals on massive occasions. Maybe the fact it was he who produced THE greatest moment this club has ever witnessed with THAT penalty.
  11. Such a frustrating game!! I think it was just one of them games tbh. We couldn't put them away. Fabregas should have buries his 2nd chance. Didier should have scored. Remy with one cleared off the line. Hazard was unlucky with a couple if chances. Defensively we look very suspect which is worrying and very unmourinho. They seemed frightened to death of Draxler. And to just back off and off to a player of Huntelaar's quality is suicidal really. But having said that I would rather the missed opportunities, defensive lapses and dropped points in this game than City on Sunday. Put it down to one of them games and move on.
  12. Mate, you need to change your name to 'The Unhappy one'
  13. That's correct. Which is also a European record. We won the other leg 8-0 also. 21-0 on aggregate which is another European record. One i doubt will ever be beaten. I heard a story that Ossie had a bet with Peter Bonetti that he would score 6 goals against them. He got to 5 and we won a penalty and Bonetti ran from his goal and handed the ball to another of our players!! Not sure how true that is though Also i think one of their players only had 1 arm.... again not sure how true that is. Maybe one of our older members can shed some more light on them stories.
  14. Can't work out if you agree or disagree with me, lol! I was just responding to a few people who mentioned Rooney mugging off United for his 300k and saying how our board won't allow that to happen.
  15. I am sure the club will not allow themselves to be mugged like United were with Rooney. They have acquitted themselves fantastically well this calender year. They will have a figure they feel Eden is worth and won't allow him to hold them to ransom. Whether that figure is 1,2 or even 300k. The board will do the right thing.
  16. Came here thinking I might be the only person thinking of a rest for Diego, obviously I was wrong With City next weekend I don't think we should risk the subject hamstring. Maybe rest Fabregas and JT also. Other than that, the rest the same. Tibo Azpi, Iva, Cahill, Luis Rami, Matic Hazard, Willian, Schurrle Remy
  17. Anybody other than Costa winning this would have been ridiculous. Well deserved. Keep it going Diego!!
  18. 60 mill for him?? Wasn't Jose talking about 100 plus in the summer? Surely with an extra year of experience and excellence and a 5 year contract behind him the figure will be around the 100 mark?? If it was to happen that is.
  19. Thats what i thought.... I am sure we have just recently signed a new long term contract with Samsung??
  20. Oh yeah.... haha!! I have obviously blocked that from my memory!
  21. Oh right, I see. Thought somebody was having a laugh down there.
  22. Protecting a lead, a Chelsea weakness??? Who came up with that? Have we surrendered a lead this season? Nope. In fact other than the Athletico home game last season, when was the last time we didn't keep hold a lead because i am struggling to think of it! Lmao!
