Yes, actually I would. People are vastly overrating Sturridge out of the desperation to find an alternative to Torres. Sturridge is not really better IMO. I'm pretty tired of Torres too but I like that his link up play is good and he allows us to at least play reasonably well in terms of creativity and movement. More so than Sturridge who I think just does not have a future here.
Add in other factors like Torres' wages and Sturridge's contract situation and its clear which one needs to go first.

Moses won't be a 'world-beater'. He's a talented player like Sturridge..but it doesn't look like he'll be on the same level as Hazard, Oscar.
The good thing about Moses is that he's a big upgrade on Kalou.

Most of you are unfair towards Nando. I agree his first year in the Bridge was dismal, but from April till now I actually believe he has done okay. It appears he is always the one who gets stick from our fans and the media when the entire team plays poorly. Sigh.. I guess that will never change.
Ontopic: I can definitely see Malouda go and if someone new comes along it will be some striker, but it won't be anyone from the likes of Falcao.

I'm confused as to what to do for our CM situation. We are about 1 CM short however I don't think buying is wise as Josh/KDB are waiting in the wings. Perhaps bring back Essien from loan?

There's this one player tearing apart the A-League at the minute that we should definitely look in to.
Absolute beast. Huge clinical striker, very similar to Drogba.
He has so far got 4 goals and 1 assist in 5 games.

We'll definitely see a CM come in. We'll only have Romeu, Ramires and Lampard as Mikel is the AFCON and we look weak there as it is in terms of depth.
Robbie has spoken about a lack of options upfront with only Torres and Sturridge, so i'm damn sure a striker will come in too.
There's a chance of a CB coming in, and we've seen numerous links to quite a few for a while
So CM and CF will be definitely be added imo, and then possibly a CB
For CM would like a player who has good enough discipline to play as a DM, but is also capable of attacking and acting sort of box to box. Witsel is an example, but obviously he's unrealistic
For CF, I wouldn't even mind really as long as its not Remy because I don't really rate him. We just need a goalscorer who we think has enough quality to adapt to different systems. Falcao, Lewandowski, Jovetic, Ba, Cavani. Don't really mind as I said
As for CBs there are quite a few options. Haven't seen him play on many occasions, but Okore looked quality and is a chelsea fan. Reckon he'd be a good signing

An ST, as we need one, A. because we need to improve in that area. B. we only have 2.
And maybe another young CB, just to add a bit more depth and for the future if needed. We have chalobah and i think he will be our captain one day but it still might be a couple of years before breaking into the first team. I don't think a cm is essential, though if we do ideally they would have to be a specialist in that double pivot as we don't exactly have much room in the AM's at the moment with 3 quality starters and then moses and marin on top of that. Rambo is doing exceptionally well, and mikel is doing alright. Most of the Cm's mentioned would have to replace rambo as otherwise we wouldn't have much in the way of DM's, and rambo deserves to stay in as he is extremely useful with his stamina and ability in there.
We get a good striker and our attack would be one of the best in europe.

Tbh I don't think we need another cm... Ramires is beasting (Toure-esque) and we also have de Bruyne coming soon, not to mention potentially Josh for the future

So the window is less than two months away and this being Chelsea, I think we can safely assume that there will be some activity. The question is, what positions need strengthening this early and who's likely to fit the bill. Also who, if anyone is heading for an exit...
For me there are 2/3 main areas of need for this squad, notably a CM for the pivot, a CB and a new striker. Additions in any area would, I'm sure you'd all agree, strengthen this team a lot more than new attacking midfielders.
With this is mind, I'm curious to see what movement we will all see, be it specific players, or movement in a specific position.
I think the most likely scenario is a new striker (but not a superstar Cavani/Falcao etc) and either a new CM or a new CB. To clarify, that is what I think is likely, not necessarily what I would most like to see.
If we take into consideration that we most likely will not spend a HUGE amount in January, I would love to see something along the lines of Etienne Capoue and Nelson Oliveira. Young and talented and would strengthen our squad.

My fav option would be top striker and a good loan CM with option to buy in summer.
Since Mikel will go in january, maybe getting Essien back wouldnt be bad either.
