This. I think he'll be a LFC player sooner rather than later. Rodgers needs a striker & he's willing to give youth a chance, perfect scenario for Sturridge in my opinion.
Well, according to various sources, Paulinho will be starting for Brazil against Japan today. Brazil XI to face Japan: Diego Alves, Adriano, Luiz, Silva, Castan, Paulinho, Ramires, Kaka, Oscar, Neymar, Hulk.
I agree, I think Anelka moving on was a good thing for Chelsea FC, when you look at the bigger picture. We needed an injection of talented youth into our first team and that's exactly what we got in the form of Hazard, Oscar, Moses, KdB, Romeu..
Moyes was actually pleased with the Rodwell transfer. He said Rodwell's transfer to City was mutually beneficial. And anyway, Moyes still has that youngster called Ross Barkley, who has been touted as even better than Rodwell..
He's a good defensive midfielder, not the best out there but he'll be a useful addition to the squad. With Romeu's future at Chelsea unclear, bringing in someone that can compete with Mikel & Ramires for a starting role isn't such a bad idea. http://youtu.be/V3LlU1mHFF4
Time for Torres to show he is the man to lead the line at Chelsea. If he keeps up the work rate throughout the whole season, and scores around 20 goals, I got no problem with Torres being the man at Chelsea. I just hope Sturridge is 100% match fit as soon as possible, cause I don't want to see Torres burn out.
How do you know that Lukaku isn't good enough? He's got more potential than Sturridge and he could easily become a class striker once he gets used to EPL style of football.
He's not ready to play regularly in the EPL for Chelsea. If we sign Herrmann, it'll just ruin his development cause he'll be on the bench like Moses, Romeu.
Being massively impressive at Vitesse doesn't mean that much. I want to see Van Aanholt play consistently in England before we think about letting go of Ashley Cole.
Kroos wasn't suited to Van Gaal's tactics, he was forced to play CDM/DLP...and he's not ready to be influential from a deeper role just yet. He seems to be doing alot better under Jupp Heynckes' system as they are finally using him in his strongest position: CAM. He is underrated, when you think about the amount of midfield talent at Bayern Munich. He's only 22, I think this could be his break-through season, where he really starts proving his value to Bayern.
The A-League? Didn't the former Australian national coach say that the 2nd/3rd division in Germany was better than the A-League. Also, couldn't you have just told one of the kids that they'd be playing in goal for 1 game, rather than signing a keeper on a 1 game contract?
How do you know that he's not good enough? The guy is only 23 & has the ability to be a solid rotation winger/possible game changer off the bench for Chelsea.
He wants to finish his career at Roma, wants to be remembered by the fans like their current legend Totti...hence why he declined a transfer to Manchester City in the most recent transfer window.
Maybe Marin isn't 100% match fit just yet...no need to risk him cause our first team is looking balanced at the moment. Hopefully we see both Sturridge and Marin on the bench sooner rather than later.
Torres is doing well for a striker past his peak but Falcao would just add another dimension to our attack. Sure, Torres' build up play has been good this season but as an opposition defender, you'd rather face Torres than Falcao.
I think it'd be better for Lukaku's development if we let him stay at West Bromwich for the rest of the season. He seems to fit their tactics & he's getting a chance to express himself at EPL level.
