  1. I wanted us to sign him instead of Oscar, too...now its too late.
  2. lol good old Michael Bradley. I doubt he is better than de Rossi. he is a rather mediocre player, saw him multiple times when he used to play for BM'gladbach in bundesliga. Wanyama is a beast, but he has only played in Scotland. Thiago Motta I don't know, but i am pretty sure PSG is no seller club. I have not seen de Rossi play for Roma much, but I have seen him play for Italy and every time I see him, he puts in amazing effort, great tackles and precise passes. he played an amzing Euro 2012 both in central defense and defensive midfield. He might not have been the best player under that funny Roma coach with his crazy tactics but I can't believe he has been off form completely in the last 1.5 years. If so he maybe only needs a new challenge. He is 29, hardly old for a DM. Xabi Alonso reached his peak after he was 30, as did Makelele. Ballack played his best season for us when he was 32. I am pretty sure there is still much left in him He had no major injury in his entire career, but lots of different minor injuries in this season. Surely this put him off shape, but our medical department has done a great job this season and I am sure they would keep him fit.
  3. No he said every player had his own way and he thought that his is not like Marin's....
  4. true. But Loucas Moura would also cost the double.
  5. Mourinho is only being modest. Of coure we are going for the EPL title. Every top team has a new manager and we other than city have a manager who knows how to win titles. we have the most talented squad in the PL already, of course we have a real chance. Hazard, oscar, Lukaku, KDB, Azpi will all make a step up, transition was last year. Borussia Dortmund also have fought on all fronts for 3 years, dominating teams like City or United with their main players being very young either. hazard and Mata are surely not less talented than Reus and Götze. The problem is the tactics. A good coach with good man-management like Mou can make us competitive again even without big signings.
  6. Fred has to be the slowest man on the planet. No idea why such an average player is regular starter for Brazil
  7. the best player in the EPL and one of the best in the world, future Balon d'Or winner. i do not like him personally at all, I also do not like Messi or Ronaldo, cos they are cunts, but they are fucking class just like Bale. I think many Chelsea fans are a bit biased in judging him cos he is a spurs player. But he is not mere counter attacking player. He is effective on the break, but most of his long range stunenrs come when the oppositon actually has its whole team in front of him. It is not alone his pace, Lennon is faster than him, but bAle is better cos he is a damn good footballer. His passes and crossing are extremely precise, his shot is a weapon. his dribbling and his pace can create space out of nothing + his shot can use this space to score. The ability to create and score a goal singlehandidly and out of nothing is sth only few footballers have and can consistently pull of. Bale is one of them, just like Messi, Ronaldo and our very own Hazard.
  8. This is what hulk makes so dangerous. he can stroll the whole game, but he only needs one fast step to cut inside and make a goal out of nothing. this time he was close, but his hit is ferocious
  9. This Brazil team might be no vintage, very European in their tactics, but they got some damn good players. Neymar and Oscar might be a bit young for the hopes of the whole nation resting on their shoulders, but their defense is more stable than ever before. David Luiz might be an embarrasment at times, but every time he commits a crazy error up front, Gustavo or Paulinho has already tracked back. Their organization is quite good, even though Japan have done nothing to really threaten up to now.
  10. Really? For me, de Rossi is one of the very best CDMs in the world and the best one available right now.
  11. He is pretty damn fast and his finishing is nice, too. But that's it. He is a bit like FAbio Borini. Can't say if he has the quality to make it to the very top, but he is surely good enough for the EPL.
  12. i would not follow my family's advice for a move either, so their opinions do not really have a value. Let their family have their moments in the spotlight, the decision will be made elsewhere.
  13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7sNO92GPuQ still this is far worse. A weakass like Benayoun could have "been killed" there. Amazing how we got a freekick for this and Bosingwa did not get banned.
  14. that little piece of maths does not really work in your favour. First. Hazard 2x wtf? only because he can play more than one position does not mean he competes for two. Every oen of these players can play at least 2 positions. Secondly, Kakuta and Davila are not good enough, iPiazon is not ready yet and will probably go out on loan again. 150m for two Messi's and a Ronaldo? We could not buy either of those and if we would, we again would have to splash out money for their backups - same problem I'd actually have more good players for the money than one very good. Lower risk (injuries etc.) and more of a chance that one will come really good. We paid 59m € for Torres. The same we paid for Mata+Moses+Schürrle. Everyone knows which money was invested better. You never now with transfers, esp with big money moves...
  15. I remember. Mata really raped him, but that had nothing to do with strenght it was simply a big mistake by Walker. I do not say we should buy him, but if you watch him regularly you see he is rather strong for a fullback.
  16. he has amazing strength, pace and shot. But that's it. We have Azpi, Iva and Kalas can also play there.
  17. I am pretty sure we did not play Luiz there for his playmaking abilites. I think Mikel was injured and we were out of depth. Secondly we played Luiz because of his defensive abilites. He is a better tackler than Mikel and covers more ground. In the Luiz-Lamps midfield, Lamps was the DLP... +we still got Lampard, who is enough of a DLP for now. 2014/15 we will have Chalobah and/or Mceachran ready to succeed him. I do not see any sense in purchasing a minor upgrade. We should first make sure we are defensively ok. manCity&Benfica simply sliced through our midfield. We need more protection. Mata dropping deep to distribute is completely normal for a playmaker. +If we had more width we would have more space in the middle, which would facilitate the transition from defence to attack.
  18. we won't get Ronaldo for 80m. Rumours are Monaco are bidding 100m.
  19. I got it FFS. Read my fuckin post than you will get what i mean.
  20. 1. When women evaluate the looks of men, their style&how groomed they are is much more important than bone structure of the face 2. Attraction is genetically programmed. That is why even famous&handsome footballers can't get and do not want every hot girl out there. If you approach enough chicks, you will inevitably find the ones you are compatible with. Enough of them will be hot. It's only a numbers game. Footballers have the advantage that fame&status attract every woman. so it's much easier for them to get their picks. Whatever...back on topic. This Bacra offer would be so great. we would get a consistently moaning, overpaid underachiever out of our books. actually i would terminate his contract, if that would not cost us any money. There is no way Mou will play Torres as main striker. Maybe Mou can make him useful again, but he will never be that pacy killer anymore. His body is much weaker, his confidence and his youthful recklessness are gone+he is so satified by the enormous amounts of titles he has won, there is no hunger in him anymore.
  21. Whatever. We got enough playmakers, no idea why we need to play 4. Oscar, Mata, Hazard are still all three starters for me and they are creative enough. Also Lampard, Romeu and Chalobah, Josh, if they comes back can all play a decent pass from deep. It's not that there is no way from midfield to attack. I think our problem is rather we often are too narrow and do not enough space. A really good deep lying playmaker like Modric would help us offensively with his immense quality, but I do not see the need to sign a DLP only for having one. A DLP like Banega, CAbaye or Etxebarria would not really be that much of an upgrade. As long as Mazacar all start, I am rather concerned about the pivot protecting the back. As long as we play 3-4 players who literally can't defend, safety comes first. De Rossi could partner any of our midfielders and we would have a pivot that would provide a much better all-round package with and without the ball. If we sign a DLP, we would be slightly more creative but much more vulnerable. We lack pace and steel not skill or creativity.
  22. lol, you got the basic stats completely wrong but the more exotic stats right Lampard has 15 goals in the league alone Mata has 17 assists in the league +Schürrle also wins 0,5 aerial duels per game which is rather bad for a s.o. of his height, but not so grave cos that is not his job
  23. Mata, Oscar, Lampard and probably also de Bruyne are exactly that. Playmakers. We lack pace and width. We need a true winger not another no.10
  24. Later. You can read my post on one of the first sides of his transfer thread. I was against signing him from the very beginning.Hulk would be better for us than Schürrle, cos he is better, faster, stronger, more experienced and does not on the same wing as hazard,w hich means one could easily plot the two of them in one team without changing one's position. +We rather need an out and out winger more than a guy like Schürrle. So for me, either out and out winger or Hulk >>>> Schürrle.
