Bremen either play a 4-2-3-1 in most games and a 4-1-2-1-2 or 4-3-3 when they have to tighten up the midfield. De Bruyne has featured as the no.10 as well as on both wings in the attacking 3 and in the half positions lcm and rcm in the diamond and in the mid three of a 4-3-3. Occasionally, de Bruyne has featured as a False Nine. I'm pretty sure de Bruyne has not played a single game as holding midfielder in any formation. You can also look this up here http://de.eurosport....isse/2012-2013/ KDB is a CAM who can also play CM and on the wings, but in general is an attacking midfielder, rightly so, cos he has good pace for a midfielder, a nice shot, an eye for the pass and is an expert crosser while his tackling and defensive positioning is rather average. At Chelsea he could be used in the attacking 3 behind the striker or in case j>ose reverts to 4-3-3 in lcm or rcm.

I watch the Bundesliga regularly and I could not disagree more. At first Bremen fight relegation, so compared to them there few "lower tier" teams. Frankfurt, the example you listed, are 10 places above Bremen and have qualified for the EL. Surely he is better than Torres&Ba combined, but yet he is still inconsistent. While it is atrocious our line is led by any of them, he could very well be our second option behind a new big signing. He would have 30-40 games, with about 20 starts, which should be enough and is more than he got at West Brom.

Missing out on Cavani, Falcao, Lewandowski makes Mario Gomez rather likely suddenly. Apart from Gomez's lack of class, we would be stuck with 3 (4 when we bring back romelu) rather similar types of strikers. All are more than 6ft tall relying of physical attributes and are rather inconsistant esp concerning finishes. I'd rather have Lukaku+ s.o. like Iago aspas

If City get Cavani and we only get Gomez this would be the ultimate MCA

The gap between Bundesliga and EPL has never been wider. The quality of the Bundesliga is reflected by championship-level teams as Frankfurt and SC Freiburg competing for the CL places over the majority of the season and ending up in the EL. Also there is the everlasting outflux of the top players, with them joining a Spanish or English team or BAyern immediately after their break-through the constant production of quality homegrown players has yet beward the total downfall but it is only a question of time until we can't produce enough talents to make up for that loss. the best 7 teams in the EPL are all better than anyone in the Bundesliga except BVB and Bayern. I highly doubt these two would even finish in the CL with their current squad. it is a whole lot of a difference playing 34 games and a maximum of 6 cup games with fuzzy refereeing and soft tackles or playing 38 games +Fa Cup +Carling Cup +European games +international games for almost every EPL player (whereas BuLI players are predominantly German and hence only a minority has international duty) against the Stokes, Westhams, Sunderlands etc.... In England the football is much faster and the technical level is way higher. When you are Bayern, most teams wave the white flag after 20 mins, In England every team, even manutd have to fight to the last whistle. If referees were fair and the FA ditched those redundant carling cup matches and reduce the number of teams in the league, English teams would be way more succesfull in Europe, no one would have a chance. As of now, worn-out English teams with 2 games every weak face rested Spanish and German teams who have been prepared for the international challenge for weeks. And as for the finances. There are maybe 4 or 5 clubs that are financially stable the rest is just as stricken as most EPL clubs just with waaaaay less turnover. As of now, rich German teams such as leverkusen, schalke, stuttgart compete with EPL-Newcomers and bottom-half clubs. for player. unless this changes, future of club football still lies far away from germany. The BuLi is not growing as a competition, mainly it is a competition because almost every club has no plan and is shit. The only club that is able to compete internationally, also long term is FC BAyern, the Free State of Bavaria will ensure that - one way or an other.

Germany play with Schweinsteiger and Khedira, Bayern have Javi martinez and Schweinbesteiger, Real have Khedira and Xabi Alonso, 3 of the best double-pivots in the world. You know what? Every single Chelsea midfielder including Lampard and Mikel is faster than any of these players. Even Kroos who is an attacking midfielder is slow as a tractor. But this is not a problem. A double pivot is not about pace. it is about defensive balance and tackling prowess. So add de Rossi to our roster, pair any of Lampard or Rami or Oscar with him and we got a great double pivot.

would absolutely love him here. IMO age will not affect him that much, many DMs have their best times in their 30ies, especially comabtive players who rather rely on their experience than on their physical attributes. He would really like it in the EPL, hope he speaks English already. He can tackle and pass as good as anyone. With him we would have a proper DM who could play alongside anyone. IMO our problem in midfield has rather been a lack of protection than a lack of creativity. We got Mazacar+Lamps for that. We do not need an extra DLP when we have them+de Rossi, who also can play a good pass. De Rossi is a complete double pivot on his own. He will not cost that much, no other signing in midfield would be needed, he would not impede the progress of Chalobah

Or just apply the 24 hours system. Would have spared us this nonsense debate.

Maybe it would be better to instead of buying an overpriced striker, make Lukaku 1st striker and save the money for 60m Bale. He scores a winner out of nothing every 2nd game, we would pay almost as much for Cavani or Falcoa, but Bale is younger and used to the EPL.

done the double over Everton. Torres scoring first epl goal in 2013, 3rd place secured
-
lol at ManU-WBA it is 5-5
-
yo 3 rightbacks on at the same time now
-
no if mata's right foot was good for anything except of standing on it it would have been a goal.
-
omg how horribly scraggy Jelavic looks.
-
Ba is just so shit. Every striker seems to fail here. just play lamps up front
-
no it will not. we are 3rd due to one more goal scored
-
Every game Ba seems tohave about 10 clear chances and wastes them all unless he gets a tap-in
-
everton are such clowns in defense. really should finish them off
-
Luakaku is better than both, Ba and Torres. No matter who we sign, simply let him stay with us next season
-
as soon as demba ba controlled it so weird i knwe he would shoot wide
-
our wastefulness costs us victory again
-
ake is good at interceptions
-
lol Oscar
-
Torres should be subbed, really dangerous with his yellow card and his über-motivated play.
