gone to Dortmund. Shame, did only cost 13m and would have provided much needed pace in our attack.

Schweinsteiger is 28, Yaya is 30. I think age will be no problem at first. He might be a mid-term solution at best, but the best possible. Also we have enough DMs like Chalobah, RLC in the making to take over from him, but right now, we need a DM more than anything else to be competitive again.

One also gets to play football in training. I think many players would love to sit on the bench, get good money and their hand on trophies and sacrifice playing time. I reckon 40 games for a top club + loads of trophies + big wages are better than 400 games for a club no one cares about and never win a title and not that much money. Most important things in football are trophies and money and they have to think about their future after football, too.

But maybe Moyes is. Moyes often sold his best players for good money, maybe he won't stop that at ManU and tries to make his own stamp on the team by developing Youth players like he did at Everton. Fergie might still be influential and not willing to sell Rooney, but Moyes will have the final say.

van Ginkel would be another signing for a 4-3-3. with KDB coming returning, Schürrle signing and Ramires assured of his importance we actually might ditch that 4-2-3-1
-
As does Cavani. Any signing of a 25-30 years old big name striker has now. But that should not prohibit us from signing players we might need.

Yup who gives a shit about Mata for Spain. I think Mata is a player who really has to have the team playing around him so his lack of pace and strength and in general any kind of athleticism does not get too exposed. You just can't place him on the wing just like Del Bosque did. Esp with that lack of protection they got with only one defensive midfielder. Two massive errors by the coach, completely outfoxed by Scolari. Mata remains our second best and most important player and he probably also would be that for Spain if they played a 4-2-3-1 with Mata as no.10. Thing is they don't, they rather build the team around Xavi and Iniesta, the latter is still better than Mata and hence one can understand that. ON the other hand, people should stop looking up to Mata as if he was God. He might have been amazing and our best player overall in the past 2 years but in these 2 years we might have won 2 european trophies with a lot of luck but the squad is ridiculous compared to what we had 2004-2010. Mata is not even close as good as Lamps&Drogs of old and never will be. They could rip Barca or BAyern Munich apart single-handidly., Mata might contribute a lot of assists vs average sides but against real teams as Bayern, Barcelona, ManCity or Juventus he goes missing. The problem is, there is nothing he can do about it, he needs the ball to be played to him over and over again in good positions. He can't run, can't dribble, has no pace, no right foot and gets pushed over as soon as a good tackler gets near him. He is slower than every defender. All this makes it tricky to orchestrate the game. He pulls out some nice skills here and there and also has his moments, but his job is to make the game which he simply can't against big opponents. It's not that he is not mentally able to perform in big games or shit, it's simply his limitations as a player esp as an athlete which make it impossible for him to dictate the play in those games. That is why he is not the man we should build or team around. He is still a very useful player who shoud play almost every of our matches, but he is not our best player by ability. It's Hazard. Hazard is like Messi. He is skilful and damn fast. He can run through defenses with ease create a goal out of nothing on his very own against any defender. He might not have done that against eh very big teams, too, but he, opposite to Mata, has the potential to do so, he does not have these limitations that prohibit him from becoming one of the very best. That is why we should play Hazard on the left wing where he belongs. If a we play counter-attacking and a 4-3-3 does fit Hazard better, then ditch Mata. We can't dominate Bayern or BArcelona, which would be necessary for mATA to be effective, but we can counterattack them to death for which we do not need Mata.

IMO it is ridiculous to compare Higuain to Rooney. Wazza's quality should not be in doubt. He is capable of scoring and creating goals of the highest order week in week out. The question is not is he good enough but does he fit here? and is he worth the money&the trouble we will have with him? He is ot the kind of poacher some want, he is more than that and he surely can be a classic no.9 as he is for England, cos he is clinical finisher and has the strength and enough pace to shrug off any defender. The problem is him being a dumb, self-centred twat, brilliant player, but an incredible, greedy cunt + he already has won everything, he will not be as ambitious as Lukaku or Cavani. If Mourinho can get him on fire again this could be the deal of the century, if not he will just be a much uglier version of Torres. He does not fit the club in terms of identity, but he does fit the squad in terms of playing style. Deciding between him and Cavani is deciding what are we willing to sacrifice for success. A lot of money or a bit of our pride?
-
why didn't Fred win it? he had also 5 goals? Had Torres also an extra assist vs Tahiti or what? It is just ridiculous how 2 goals in the final are worth less than 4 goals against Tahiti. One should have a goal value coefficient for this.

http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/premier-league-paper-round-arsenal-shock-fernando-torres-073435201.html this would be too good to be true. Please Tores, just piss off.

who the fuck is jadson? maaan, Hulk's thighs are huge....almost as huge as mine
-
I do. It has been the decisive moment in this match. Spain would have equalised and the game would have been completely different. That amazing block was a better skill than a goal and won Brazil the Cup.
-
Cardozo is average, has only played in shit leagues and is too old to acclimatize to the epl. Fred is a good finisher and has proven so at the confed cup, but he also has not made it at any big club he played for and he is too slow for the EPL. Pellegrini is an ok coach whose hype is acutally much bigger than his trophy cabinet.
-
both spanish chelsea players been useless today
-
why does Ramos take penalties?
-
Yup world champion having torres and Arbeloa starting...
-
chill guys, the 2014 world champion had better things to do than participating at this tournament. This game only decides who will lose to us in the final.
-
Busquets accusing s.o. of taking a deliberate tumble....spot the mistake...
-
ooooh oscar score FFS
-
wild beginning. Why did Casillas go down? If he had stayed on his feet he probably would have got a hand to it.
-
Less interesting than strategic.
-
then you are surely not in Zambia. Back to Torres: 2010 World Cup with a couple of futile sub-apppearances and literally not contribution to the team. - World Champion 2012 wins Champions League with his only countable contribution in the knock-out stages being an assists vs an unorganized benfica and an unnecessary goal vs Barca when he had only the goalie in front of him - CL winner 2012 wins European Championships with one full and two sub appearances scoring two saveable goals vs a depleted Shay Given and Ireland and one after the match is already decided. Wins golden boot because he also assists a 4th goal when he is too chicken to shoot himself and on least minutes needed for the three goals - European Champion and European Golden boot 2013 wins Fifa confed cup and golden boot because of 4 goals against Tahiti
-
It looks like Rooney's clear-the-air-talks with Moyes have not really gone the way Ferguson predicted it. Would prefer the ugly chap over Cavani after all this shit with his clause. Also heard City are seeing Fred or Cardozo as replacements for Tevez. Now i get an idea why Pellegrini has never won a title. Replacing an on his day worldclass player with a one of those average clowns, maybe City will not be that much of threat next season...

There is nothing about 70m in this link. As if Chelsea would pay a penny to Palermo and that other club. Whatever the price will be, and be sure it will be neither 63m nor 70m. That's classic. An Italian joking about German economy. Maybe we had no Berlusconi (whose reign was your very own fault btw), half our country was a communist pseudo-economy, which had to be adapted in these years but we still remained Europe's economic powerhouse. No idea how you could overlook the big German flag left to my username and no idea what club ownership has to do with a country's economy. Even in the richest countries there are poor clubs and clubs owned by foreigners. Dude, you make no sense whatsoever.
