  1. Matic commits needless fouls, had limited talent, is not as strong and slower mikel, lamps and romeu, though a decent tackler. He is half decent, but he is 24 now he really should be better now if he ever was to be chelsea quality.
  2. Stoch is an average player who has one assist as only contribution in more than 20 games this season. Matic is worse than any of our mdifielders and would not make our team. The average sides they play in make them look far better than they are (which is still shit as for Stoch)
  3. It's neither good for his next club nor for Bayern, cos they will have the exact same striker twice with Lewa and Mandzukic.
  4. Cos you got no point. You can't compare that Casillas situation to the Lamps situation. Mou taking an average player with massive wages like Essien on loan i fhe could have had way chepaer options who are better and just as versatile really , shows that he will not be ruthless towards his loved ones. Lamps should not play be regular starter, when there is a better central midfielder in our squad. As of now there is none, so he will play. End of. And I am laughing that you think 31 is "late thirties". According to that logic, Lamps is at least 40....Ahhhh now I get why you think he is too old....
  5. When we buy Cavani and tell Torres he wil be 4th choice, he will be gone faster than that Lisa Ann makes you...well that example might be already a bit... well, sucked dry...
  6. +he also played Essien, who is shit, just because he likes him. So LDN's agrument is completely worthless.
  7. Diego lopez is actually half a year younger than Iker Casillas. But not only in that sense your post is completely wrong. The situation was different. Iker and Jose did not like each other from the very beinning. Lamps and Jose love each other. Also Lamps plays for what he is, our best central midfielder. under Rafa, who does not play players for what they used to be either (and surely not because Romeu was not fit lmao)
  8. Lampard might be 35 but he is a waay better player than any of these.
  9. +we will also be in Asia before, so the players have to adjust their biological clock 4 times (6 times including the post season), which is always strenious, cos it costs sleep. But I do not think it will be big a problem, cos there will be plenty new/youth players included in the squad to share the duty + the intensity of the games will be more like a training session. You can't compare it to an international tournament. I think we do nothing, the docs don't allow and we can't handle.
  10. I got no problem with Lamps being on the bench when there is a player who suits the formation better and has the necessary quality comes in. But fact is, as of now there is none + Lampard is still good enough. So we should rather buy a decent DM and a striker and a winger before we think about whether we really need a DLP and if we should splash out on a Lamps replacement.
  11. Lampard is simply Lampard, he is no player who has to be "the type of player for the double pivot". Lampard has his own style, whether it fits that common idea of a "double pivot" or not does not care, as of now, he still offers enough as a package. Actually he was one of our best players this season. So he surely is no reason for us having underachieved, infact he was absent when our season imploded and arguably the best player when the season was saved...he was there...in the double pivot. Lamps has been our most creative player for 10 years, the reason, why we never needed a true no.10. His increased defensive duties have prevented him from assisting as much as usual. We can adress many things to improve, Lamps is not one of them.
  12. I feel the same. the saga is built up like last year with Hazard.
  13. LOOOOOOOOOOL. Yeah but sometimes there is nice atmo at the bridge. Also he will love our away support.
  14. I agre with Phil here. Lampard was one of our better players vs Benfica. His passing was decent enough, The problem with our midfield is that Oscar, Mata, Hazard is one weakass midget magician too many. Lamps may seldom get into tackles but he is expert in defensive positioning and defensive organisation of the midfield. Mata offers nothing defensively.
  15. at least we would end up with the best of the three.
  16. We can't play like Dortmund. Do you see Mata, Lampard, Torres working that much against the ball?
  17. Or Daniele "one man pivot" de Rossi joins and Lampard can do what he does best. Lamps is still one of the best midfielders around and one should let him play his game. He might struggle in the pivot at times, but he was in full control in the last game vs Utd and vs Benfica.
  18. What an awful final, emotional, tense, hard-fought, yes, but the level of football was as low as the 2007 final. Never seen so many errors in such a big match. If that should be advertising for German football, then good night. A more clinical side with a world-class striker would have had a field day today. Dortmunds defense was abysmal. Robben fucked every player of theri defense players. If this would not have been a final, ribery, Dante and Lewa would have been sent off that's for sure. Once again a big match showed how average Schweinsteiger is.
  19. will be funny reunion with Boateng then.
  20. In case we get another injury, we might have to play Ross Turnbull outfield. (I did this once in Fifa, he even scored a goal) Should really taken more youth players to the US
  21. BAyern are huge favourites and one simply can't see them fail again after such season, on the other hand Dortmund have been so lucky, one can imagine they somehow scarp it. But my tip would be a clear Bayern victory. Their team is just perfectly merged atm. It will also be this generation's last chance of a big title
  22. De Rossi - Lampard in the pivot. Old school, experience and firepower.
  23. Dzeko, Lukaku, Cisse, Rooney, Benteke...probably even Defoe, Hernandez Lambert, Giroud, Podolski all are at least at the same level. Anyway, I think you are massively overrating Ba. He had two good first halfs of the season with Newcastle, but he can't score regularly when he is not playing every week. A good striker should also do that as a back up.
  24. What a downgrade. But Anelka was used on the right wing most of the times anyway. But I agree. If we do not get rid of any of Ba or Torres we do not necessarily need a new striker. We probably won't win a big title with Torres/Ba/Lukaku as strikeforce but Lewandowski is not a guarantee either. The league is won by the most consistent team and consistency is about the whole team and does not ultimately change with a world class striker (even though it would help)., the CL is won with luck and you can't buy that either.
  25. Love it how all the German media is celebrating our fooball as the future super power. If i remember correctly a certain English team is current UEFA Champions League and Euro League holder...
