Yay won 3-1 Comfortable mid-table position, which is great as newly promoted

So many negative posts on SSN about England's performance... 1) injury list was big 2) Ukraine have never been a walkover, they have some amazing players, but don't have the league or funding to be on show - when it was the USSR a hefty percentage of players were from the Ukraine. So RH tried some new things, everybody moaned about Rooney, he couldn't play so he tried something else - everybody moaned again... 3) to sum it up we will never be happy... Jesus even Brazil + Spain play badly - international football is inconsistent and on there day any team can spank another team.. 1-1 was a fair result and is not the end of the world!

He's an absolute fucking cock! The quicker we get rid of this fucking idiot the better... A bad influence in the dressing room and squad IMHO. Boohoo - he was told he would have limited play-time and advised to move on to further his career - he then gets picked for a reserve game and complains - that's NOT a professional attitude! He didn't want to leave his 70k week contract... If I was the board - I would be forcing him to play every reserve game, if he refuses - terminate for breach of contract. Why couldn't AC have shot this fucking moron when he had a gun @ the training ground - that would have been an awesome result.! Really hate this guy - both on and off the pitch - so he had 1 great season for us - the rest have been absolute shite... Kalou was a million times better than this fucking dickhead. EDIT: apologies for the number of F**K's in this post - it's just how this guy makes me feel

Haha sad pathetic little cunts who I hope get relegated ! Hughes was great for us - but he sure does know how to bankrupt a club! Too much FIFA and FM for him - 10 players at least every transfer window on ridiculous contracts... Not long before the big cheese Fernandez is sick of forking out, especially as his F1 team suck more dick than Tulisa....
-
Yeah wasn't critiscising you just saying if people rate him, we should hope for the 'de Boer' brothers type of set-up
-
Unless we have seen both of them play for an extended period of time - I don't think we're in a position to judge? Yes, Eden's had a great few games for us - but like Eddie says - we gotta keep the 'realism' in perspective... He might have a bad run of form etc. I should hope the "Hazard's" are like the "De Boer" brothers - that would be amazing for us
-
Agreed - but it's a lesson to every fan wanting a new purchase... Buying a good player @ one club doesn't automatically (in the real world) make him a great player at your club... Typically RVP has fitted into Manure perfectly... GRRRR...
-
Yup - it's about time we had a nice conveyor belt of talent coming through - especially with FFP looming
-
Lol Spain has amazing weather Not doing too bad in Salzburg... 30-36 degrees on most days, but winter can be minus -25 eek big swing
-
Hangover after 150 euros night out in Salzburg! Still feeling rough now - just can't cut it till 4am anymore

But that IS the problem. Nobody should be guaranteed anything in life (except taxes + death) I'm a big fan of Nando - really like the guy. BUT if he cannot handle CFC having 'other' striking options, then he needs to be sold. Nobody is bigger than the team, he needs to understand that. In my heart the only thing that I see makes sense is Torres + cash back to Atletico for Falcao... I personally think that's the only way everybody involved can on one out of this one well - and maybe a further back-up striker too... I'm not a hater, check my previous posts - just had time to reflect and this debate will never go away, we'll always be watching and expecting another disaster - not fair on the team and us, the fans....
-
I mean playing them regularly in the shit cup games and seeing how far they get. Yeah Arsenal have won nothing, but they hae developed some great players and cashed in quite a lot. If we could use that model with our ability to win things - we would be unstoppable!
-
Agree - I think mobility was one of his biggest strengths... Losing that must be tough and he's not acclimatising too well IMHO when put under severe pressure. He is still a great player, just needs to adapt his game - which is why I think we should play him against weaker opposition - where he won be tested 100% of the time for a full 90 mins...
-
Unproven I think or was dropped - a couple of women came forward. It's hard to judge - I don't get some women - they throw themselves at these guys then claim it wasn't consensual - really devalues the whole process for the genuine people... That's assuming he's innocent of course...
-
Lol it was over 1 month ago... We do need a new Stadium - think Earls Court will be tough to develop... Fucking useless cunts who rejected our Battersea bid!
-
There were plenty of allegations he raped a young woman a few years back...
-
Hmm it's the way Spain play - they could pass but decide another few short ones will do - it must be so frustrating as a forward. Personally Spain drive me mad and I do not enjoy watching them...
-
Personally I think the England match highlights exactly what everybody (certainly me) have been saying... Lampard can play against the weaker teams and still look World Class (no small feat at his age) Where he will suffer is when he has to deliver for a full 90 mins. Look at Scholes + Giggs for united, that's how we need to use Frank. Giggs now has the same pace as normal players - before he would have given Wallcott a run for his money - with age you lose pace. Frank just doesn't have the abilit to go box to box or chase down fast attacking midfielders for 90 mins. Nobody s saying he is a bad player, the guy is class - we just sve to use him selectively for maximum impact. No haters - just footballing sense, especially after seeing how well Utd have managed this transition - if tey had a quality striker tey would have won the league last year and Scholes+Giggs were a massive part of this...
-
I guess we are all talking about Potential... It's a subjective thing. We don't however, have a consistent policy of 'blooding youth' in the team. This IMHO has been caused by the manager merry-go-round over the past years. We (pains me to say it) need to adopt Arsenals way of blooding youngsters. Scott Sinclair would be a good example of a player we didn't really rate - who now has an opportunity at making it big. Other teams (and teams in other countries) can produce a conveyor belt of talented youngsters, we need to do the same. If they don't end up playing for us, at least we can sell them, recover the costs of training and help balance te books. But my problem is, we never give them the platform to succeed Just my opinion tho...

Samsung Merely 'Extend' Shirt Sponsorship Deal
Muzchap replied to Term-X's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Yup, this year prices will increase, people will look for alternate suppliers In 3 years who knows where the price of grain will be - if other countries pick up the slack, the US will be forced to drop its prices, bringing the market down Think it's called elasticity of demand - was 20yrs ago when I did economics though -
We aren't worrying about finishing second, because we know that's where you will be.... So thanks for registering and playing the game - but please, send me the invoice for a box of tissues - you'll need them to cry into when we play you...

Agreed - I had a choice of 2 American Style Fridge Freezers - I chose the Samsung one as it's linked to CFC - I also got the missus a Galaxy 3, again because it's Samsung... (So I've spent EUR: 2000 in the last few months on Samsung products, because of their association with CFC) So people who view Samsung products, could subsconsciouly be aware of Chelsea Football Club - because that close association exists over a number of years. I also now find myself as a die-hard McLaren fan, looking out for the Sauber's on F1 day - I love the CFC logo on the car! -

Yup 99% agree... But nobody has fucked up, or made a mistake - it's predicting future events, to only be a few million off is pretty good judgement IMHO. Like I said - it only appears that Samsung have a good deal with relative events in 2012 - if the market would have tanked, then Samsung would have looked like idiots for paying more than everybody else. Nobody, anywhere in the world is going to enter into such a contract - by definition a contract has to give equal rights to both parties - we (CFC) + Samsung decided a 'renewal' option would make sense in X years - based on the unpredictability of the financial markets, this, again IMHO, seems like a good deal for both parties. We have a consistent sponsor, Samsung are sponsors of the European elite etc. We also don't know what other deals / commitments Samsung have to CFC - they could be providing 1000's of Free TV's / Phones / Tablets / Laptops etc. - there's probably a shed load of money in that as well... -
Agree - I made that point in some other thread (Samsung sponsorship I think)... We REALLY need to increase our match-day revenue by having a bigger ground. That would really help us with hitting our targets.

EVERYTHING looks EASY with hindsight... When the contract was first announced - it was a lucrative contract, in the past few years things have changed massively in Football and revenue despite a GLOBAL recession has increased. If it had gone the other way, we would have been lauding this business decision as a stroke of genuis... as it is - it's not bad/good - it's middle of the road, guaranteed revenue.... If they had of dumped us after CL final - we might not have got a sponsor this year - so we'd be 15 million down... Life isn't that easy - trust me... EDIT: To clarify, the decision to renew at then current market prices was a punt that could have worked in our favour or against us - as it stands, we're a few million of current market value, but certainly not that bad... You can't sack someone for not being able to accurately predict the future. In terms of risk management it made sense to keep it at 15million a year, in case the money in football (as every so called expert predicted) tanked - and at a renogitation we could have ended up with 5 million (market value if the football market had tanked)... Tell you what - predict the price of 'wheat' grain in 3 years per tonne here and now - and we'll see how easy it is - would be a cool competition
