Agree to the above post. All those that say Daniel is too greedy, shoots from unrealistic places etc... 1) He's desperate to try and prove he should be in the Striker position - NOT the wing 2) He's still relatively young 3) If his shots went in - he would suddenly be the best player in the World... (That's the fine line - think Giroud? sp? - for Arsenal at the weekend) Like I said - Danny's performances for Team GB were really great - he's not as selfish as made out. If he is refusing a NEW CONTRACT - then we need to SELL him, not LOAN him - as he could walk away for FREE in the summer. Let's hope he puts pen to paper though...

It makes sense: 1) Financially - they pay the wages (or at least a significant %) 2) We get to evaluate if he is a player we should keep / let go 3) We strengthen over teams against our rivals 4) He cannot play against us - potentially weakening the side that are relying on him So there's no real downsides as I can see?

Berbatov is a useful player - but heard he was close to Fulham. We should give Danny a chance as CF... If we are to sign anybody then hope it's Cavanni or Falcao or Neymar Otherwise - we have a great squad..

Actually - Jan transfer window is 99% MORE EXPENSIVE than the summer window - as clubs are 'panic buying' - I'm sure I read a report on that from SSN last year - that players went for 30-50% more in Jan transfer than they were 'allegedly' available for in the summer window... EDIT: Also - thought he had a further year, e.g. contract expires in 2014?

I dont want him... Why settle for second best - keep Torres + Sturridge and then get either: Falcao Cavanni Llorente In the Jan window or next summer... Keep filling up our squad with 'could be's / wannabee's ' - we'll end up in 6th place... We need good youngsters and some proven talent....

I don't like Ramires in that position... I would also question Lampard too - I'd prefer Raul to Ramires.... That line-up is way too defensive... we need more width up front - as an outlet... Both Hazard + Mata drift inside too much...

If you watch the games (full) and not just highlights, you'll see he has adopted a slightly deeper position - he's now the man that spreads the play and doesn't always have the last touch. I think he's been playing well - but also agree - he really could do with a rest - couple of weeks off... Poor guy single handedly created nearly every chance for us last season!

To be fair - AVB has about as much input into Spurs Transfers as you or me - it's Levy's money and he does the deals directly... AVB's opinion is like tits on a fish - not needed

TBH - his missus (from Mancville) probably had a lot of influence too! Stupid cow slagged off Swansea as a place to live - he couldn't stick around too much longer after that... As we now understand his missus is a class A WAG (not slag, but maybe..) - perhaps he needs a bit more cash to keep her sweet - and City is that place...
