Then the shite really hits the fan... BUT after just watching 3 hours of Chelsea TV - the European highlights 04-07 Sheva and Crespo looked great and scored in the big games along with Drog and Lamps... I forgot about Geremi - those ears lol, but great passer Torres will be fine and we'll need to rely on smudge and our midfielders to also contribute a few goals Torres was one of the best strikers ever 2 years ago, form is temporary, class is permanent - winning the golden boot is the best thing to happen to him in a while - excited about him this season...

Edit - dam iPad and tiny box - oh we'll you can read my reply...
-
100% Agree - and his final ball was awful, absolutely awful - on the odd occassion he whipped a decent ball into the box, there was nobody there - as they were so used to it not coming in, nobody gambled and went in there... For me - every time he had the ball, he looked scared and uncomfortable - very much the same as SWP - I often thought - 'headless chicken'... However, he provided a good few years of loyal service, had some great games and as a former CFC player - I'll always respect him - and hope he has a nice end to his career outside of CFC.

Mikel is an 'un-sung' hero - does all the dirty work and yes, people could argue he should be more creative blah blah... Simple fact is, he knows what his game plan is, he sticks to it and sticks to it well... My only critiscism would be - sometimes gives away cheap fouls for no reason, or gets booked very early (may not be true, just from what I remember) again for silly fouls - which limit him for the remainder of the match.
-
To be honest - I actually don't rate him all that much... Yeah he has potential, but he seemed nervous and awkward... Whereas, Hazard + Marin literally hit the ground running... I guess for me that's the sign of an 'established' player vs 'potential' player - an established guy gets on with the job, whilst the 'potential' needs time to settle... I admit KDB impressed me more than Kakuta (who looked absolutely shite! - why did we sign him )
-
Yeah but in 'My Opinion (just mine)' - Hulk seems much more worth it... Hulk would be 40million, an extra 10million... 30million IS LOTS of money, but @ 30million, getting a 7-8/10 player, an extra 10million for a 8-9/10 player does represent slightly better value... Luckily, I'm not in charge of Transfers - so guess we'll have to rely on RDM + Scouts to settle this one Lastly, if we do get Willan, I will cheer him on 100% every game - just something makes me want Hulk more...
-
Not if we get a 1 season wonder - ageing CF with 1 or 2 campaigns left... I'm keeping everything crossed though that Lukaku impresses again in the next game
-
Well he has a few more games to convince His first touch and link up play was not great, finishing was superb though. I also hope he can do it, but if he can't let's get him out on loan and after 30-40 games he should be a much better prospect or us next year.

That's my point we don't want to pay too much for somebody with a limited job to do, that's why I was happy for Maicon at 8mil for a few seasons, although watching Hutchinson last night, I would start with him the boy is immense! Anyway, back to strikers - we just need a good goal scorer, cheapest for a few seasons - Cavani will be 35 mill and then it's either him or Torres 50 mil on the bench... If Torres fails to deliver, then yes we need a new prominent signing, but just feel our attacking 3 need a genuine poacher/goal scorer. Happy for suggestions / alternatives though P.S. I do think Torres will come good, he's in the best form for some time.
-
I think we should get another older experienced striker, I would have Berbatov in a flash, hell I would even consider Owen on a pay for play deal... Lukaku needs a year in the prem, and this would be better achieved outside of Chelsea.
-
No way is he worth 30 million, I would rather take the risk with Hulk if Willan was even considered at that amount... Drives me mad, whenever we want a player, it's player value x2 (min) for us to secure their services!
-
100% agree! Although I have previously raised this point and been subjected to stats proving Torres had lots of chances created. Thing is, my own eyes just didn't see that - last night we looked more fluid and pacey ala Spain. I can only see good things for the team and Torres this year
-
I personally don't see the problem in loaning him to a Premiership side. 1) he gets experience 2) any goals he scores hurt our opposition 3) he won't play against us in loaned team, potentially making them weaker I honestly cannot see a downside? Happy to be proved wrong tho

LOL - Do you know the starting 11, can you predict the form or injuries of any of our players (god forbid there is none!) - Simple answer: No... (neither can I)... So let's see how the season pans out... I'm sure KDB will get his chance, as will all of our players and if it's not to be - then unfortunately, that's life... Every post (excepting the Korean branch of New Malden) - should be a positive post - this is an amazing signing and could keep us in Brazilians for years to come! The only 'brazilian' I'd like to now check out is Eva's...
-
KDB will stay play! C'mon seriously - this isn't FIFA or FM - players need to be rotated - dip in/out of form, get injuries etc... Sometimes this board infuriates me - it's called a DEEP SQUAD - SQUAD, not starting 11 - we need a DEEP SQUAD... Honestly... (deep breath, go home from work and play CS: Global Offensive...) - then wake up at 3:30am to watch Chelsea

Think that's pretty unfair to Sturridge - when RDM took over the team, he didn't really give Sturridge a chance as he didn't fit his formation. Up until then, Studge had been one of the most consistent performers, admittedly in a shocking performing team. I think Studge + RDM need to learn to work together, yes Studge is unhappy at not being a 'central' striker - but that's (if managed correctly) a good thing - shows he has self confidence and belief. I also think RDM didn't help by not playing him, as then Studge tried too hard and tried to be the 'winner' - shooting instead of passing etc. He is a great talent and just needs managing properly... As for Cavani - haven't seen enough of him week in/week out to decide - but if it was between him + Hulk - I'd prefer Hulk... EDIT: I don't know why - just like the name Hulk... Hearing a team line-up with the name HULK in it just seems great. I know - not a footballing decision and I'm probably the biggest idiot ever, but Hulk just sounds so CFC
-
Yeah but fair play to him - I would be annoyed if 'my' manager was being approached and to be fair to Liverpool, they did kinda disrespect Wigan + Martinez (Who I actually like)... I'm hoping Liverpool get relegated - sick of their 'big club' rubbish and overhyped everything...

Awesome deal... That's Sauber, Samsung, Gazprom + many more I cannot even begin to remember... This is how we will beat the FFP rules - Football is a commercial business, we have done what needs to be done to ensure a significant amount of money rolls in each month. I mean, with soaring Energy prices in the UK - this deal could literally save TONS of money - money that would have been dead to us... I must admit, was initially sceptical of Gourlay - but credit where credit is due - he is earning Chelsea LOTS of transfer credits I don't think we'll need to rename the Stadium just yet - but it's worth keeping up our sleeve as an 'ace in the hole' - and I wouldn't be surprised in the future if Stadiums were re-named Annually - just before Year End... E.g. Sports Direct Arena 2011/12 Sports Direct.Com Arena 2012/13 Sports Direct Arena 2013/14 Sports Direct.com Arean 2014/15 You get my drift - each one could be negotiated with a slightly different wording - and of course, just cause could be found for terminating the original deal >x years in favour of the current club. Morally reprehensible, but business is business...

Hey Capriccioso, Ok, on paper the 'extra amount' of games might be negligble - but let's look at some facts: 1) We want to win the Super Cup + World Club Cup 2) We finished WAY behind the MANC teams last year 3) We DID lack depth and breadth of the squad 4) EVERYBODY will be trying to beat us - we are the Team with the 'bullseye' painted on, everybody wants to beat the European Champions... Every game will be like an FA Cup game... All it takes are a few key injuries and our team looks very light. Yes, nobody is going to come for just 10-15 games a season - but if we have a GREAT bench, we can make changes at 60+ minutes to change a game in our favour and end up taking maximum points. This is where we need a GREAT SQUAD (note SQUAD not TEAM) Man City proved last year, depth of squad is invaluable - we are doing the same, making sure we are covered for injuries/suspensions etc - whilst retaining the ability to change our 'game' mid-match with some explosive impact subs. Please understand - not arguing with you - just giving you my opinion - as I have also claimed the number of games will be too much - hopefully taking into the account the factors above, you can see why I'm behind this signing. :)

Good call on the abusing bit! somebody's 'geographic' location has no relevance or bearing on the discussion! Preference of players is personal, you won't easily sway a member by saying I believe this or that - it's subjective... Hopefully all are CFC players (soon) and we should support everybody! It's unlikely Mata will play every game, so as I have said loads of times, it's about squad depth! Unfortunately City proved that last year with almost 2 full teams in their squad. Now if we can just add a RB we will be in great shape
-
Why so knee jerk! We need a DEEP squad, building for the future - if he comes and has the right attitude he will get games, if he comes and acts like a prima Donna he will be moved on. It's all about team spirit So many games next year we almost need 2x teams to field. Agree/Disagree we looked light last year in subs? ESPecially when Anelka went
-
Hmm him on one wing Bale n the other - would give a good balance... Hope they don't get him though - or if they do he can prove himself and then move to us - as if Studge is in the frame, they need to start dealing with us again and not be ponces about it. Edit: Read story now 1) spurs want to reduce the price - yeah sure Porto are gonna do that for you AVB name bother (joker) 2) offer wages of zยฃ100k week like Adebayour, hmm if I was Hulk and being paid the same as that donkey, wouldn't be impressed!!! Can't see it happening - if roman has a spare 35mill in his Tuxedo pocket, he should whip it over to Porto and well have him - that should get the spuds grumbling
-
Theres some great ways to say positive things about bad situations... Bill Clinton is the master at dressing that outrage up nicely - think super satire
-
Whilst I love this attitude oh I lovE it soo much How's about this as an option! 1) Studge getting good first team football and Scoring against our opposition!!!! 2) when he plays us, he's benched... Spurs missing a creative force... 3) when Spurs realise they really need him, say sorry not for sale and then if he does (why would he) sell him to a totally different club next year! Although I would love him to stay But could be a good bit of clinical thinking there at nearly 1am.... Shit need to sleep!!!!!
