  1. He's great - looks a quality player - he can sit in midfield for me and be the new Lampard - scoring from deep
  2. Admin abused his power to get what he wanted? Seriously it's a meaningless poll That's a bit over dramatic for you? Have you been drinking?
  3. Chipped goal in 2012 Semi Final campaign anybody? Ramires is unpredictable - it drives me mad - it drives his team mates mad - but I bet it scares the fuck outta teams playing us - how can you defend against him? Sure he makes mistakes - but he's a Chelsea player and will support him Hope all our players find some great form now
  4. That is a bigger load of bollocks than a Moyes team talk... It's toothless. Like a Piracy warning on BluRays... They try that - every game involving a loaned player will suddenly be challenged! They are stupid at UEFA but not complete fucking idiots - it's just 'sabre' rattling - they have no clear legislation on this scenario and they know they are fucked trying to enforce it. Seriously it's the biggest load of shit I have ever read. A contract was willingly entered into by both paries - it's not unfairly putting them at a disadvantage - if they want to play him it costs x. If they don't it costs nothing - it is THEIR choice. Fucking whining to UEFA If the contract truly is null and void - and Atletico field him - then they have fielded an illegible player as the clubs have no 'loan' agreement! Lets see how that pans out If it was me. Courtious would be on the first plane home.
  5. No - quite the opposite. The clause is fine - UEFA are now trying to impose a restriction that doesn't exist and the have no specific provisions for it - just a loose interpretation of a 'cover all eventualities' clause - which is about as enforceable as David Moyes tactics.. I hope he does play - I'm just pissed off that UEFA decide to jump in again. If this wasnt an English team - do you think they would have said anything? No - of course not. Bunch of corrupt fuckers! Didnt Celtic have a similar issue this season in qualifying? They asked UEFA for guidance and their response - 'sort it between yourselves' - another case of classic UEFA double standards. Well fuck them - nothing would give me more joy than to see us Win now - and the 30 odd million prize will definitely help fund a couple of strikers in the summer
  6. Here's the UEFA Statement - I have added my comments underneath. In response to media reports referring to the situation of Club Atlético de Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, UEFA would like to reiterate its position. ME: Go for it - nothing like grabbing a bit of publicity The integrity of sporting competition is a fundamental principle for UEFA. ME: Yeah, pull the other one... Both the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations contain clear provisions which strictly forbid any club to exert, or attempt to exert, any influence whatsoever over the players that another club may (or may not) field in a match. ME: Well to enforce that - they would need to be privvy to 'loan' discussions. This statement is ridiculous and basically could be easily challenged by anybody who is fielding a 'loaned' player in a UEFA competition. This is not enforceable - it's jut their rhetoric It follows that any provision in a private contract between clubs which might function in such a way as to influence who a club fields in a match is null, void and unenforceable so far as UEFA is concerned. ME: LOL - as far as UEFA is concerned... Meaningless.. Furthermore, any attempt to enforce such a provision would be a clear violation of both the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations and would therefore be sanctioned accordingly. ME: Really? This is such rubbish - there's no 'existing' provision that they have which applies to this scenario. UEFA are ridiculous - they should just say 'Loaned Players' cannot play against the Loaning Team. What happens if we beat AM - and then they say the GK threw the game - where's the provisions to stop that? This whole scenario is a mess and UEFA are incompetent fucking idiots.
  7. Fuck the UEFA statement - there's a contract in existence willingly entered into by both parties. Unless UEFA are going to recompense Chelsea - they can say what the fuck they like - they have no jurisdiction over the matter. On another note... Latest reports suggest Diego Simeone is taking the tie very seriously and has already been in contact with Tony Pulis for tips. Paul Lambert remains on speed dial.
  8. Fuck! I was living there! Right time to book some meetings in Salzburg and Vienna!!!
  9. Jose is feeling a 'little horse' Boooom! Pun of the day!!!
  10. Yeah the summer for Strikers was a bit of a failure - but in a way it's helped the other team members step up. United relied on Van Persie last season. He's been injured most of this season and look how shit they are now. A great striker can cover many deficiencies Also the French clubs priced everybody out of the market last summer... We can't afford another £50million flop I hope we sign at least 1 decent Striker in the summer and clear out some of the dead wood in the squad (cash in) to fund it Luke Shaw + Striker + Modric type player and we could really start to dominate!
  11. Let me sum it up for you in simple sentences : Jose 1st time = Drogba Jose Inter = Eto'o Jose Real = Ronaldo / Benzema Do you see the correlation? Previous teams had GREAT Strikers - we have NONE! Hence why this season is a SUCCESS - add in a proper Striker and we will be competing for honours!!! For now - I'm just enjoying being the only English club still in the CL - especially as we weren't last season!!!
  12. Bah drink your pisswasser I'm sad I no longer live in Salzburg - loved the Allianz especially in May, 2 seasons ago German football is sorted - train ticket, entry all for about £30 and good beer and pretzels - plus some pretty hot women too! (Who love sex!) - the only thing I dislike about the Allianz tonight is that Pep will be there!!!
  13. Unlucky - but, your players will get better and improve playing against other teams outside of your league - the road to CL victory is a long and painful one - we lost out on PK's in Russia to Utd. I'm sure you will bounce back next season and realistically - you could probably win it within 5 years (realistic) Cheers for coming here and posting - really respect that! If my French was better - I would do the same on your forums! Hope you get some sleep
  14. Now is not the time to slate the players - lets enjoy the victory and see what Friday brings us in the Semis All of the lads deserve respect tonight!
  15. You always need a German in the team These guys live for the big games Well done Shirley give it 2-3 seasons and he will be immense under Mourinho.
  16. Just landed in Dubai Posted somewhere else a few days back we would go in 1-0 up at half time and then score late in 2nd half Best text messages I have ever received - even on the A380 plane using wifi to keep updated Will download and watch the highlights Get in - MASSIVE result Where's all those people saying this season is a failure now? 3 games and we could have a 2nd CL in 3 years Yeah - we're doing 'real' bad
  17. Azpi deserves it more - sure Hazard has done really well - but at €30 million he was supposed to! Azpi cost what - £8 million ? - now that's bang for buck
  18. I'm not so sure who else could stay in a multi-million pound a year job - without being fired, for doing nothing? Wenger is pretty smart won nothing, bottled it at every opportunity and is still in a job just wow! It's the whole club, from the Board down - none of them are winners! I know Roman gets stick - but he is a winner through and through and expects nothing less than success - I love that!!!
  19. The Player of the year is.... Azpi Guy deserves it - best player by far and such a bargain! Who else has played out of position and given so much? Plays with heart, desire and enthusiasm - never hides on the pitch! As a fan, I respect and admire that. Keep it up son!
  20. All we have to go on are a few remarks by both parties - none of us are privy to what actually was discussed. Hindsight is an amazing thing - it has the uncanny knack of making things look better/worse... Lets wait until the summer before deciding his fate The parallels drawn with Casillis (sp?) are crazy. Casillis was actively engaging dressing room sabotage and leaking private info to his GF (sports journalist)... A dangerous game - for which he paid the price! As the reserve keeper had SO many great games for Madrid and has now ousted him longer term. So in 'hindsight' Jose was actually right to drop him See - its a tough one Another adage worth remembering is 'careful what you wish for...' Personally, Lukaku is doing well - I probably would leave him at Everton for another season, IF they get CL football. Will be a great test for him. No denying his raw ability - but CL is the next step up...
  21. If we can get to HT 1-0 up - then we stand a chance. Scoring the 2nd in 93 min of injury time (Terry header) - will be perfect Overall result 2-0! We've done it before and can do it again!!!
  22. Andy Carroll = job done Only joking I'm not a fan of any of the forwards we are linked to at the minute - as long as we don't spend too much, happy they can be stepping stones forward. What we don't need is another Torres... CM is indeed needed as is LB - Modric and Shaw would be my ideals in that situation...
  23. Yes in the same way victory was 'guaranteed' against Villa and Palace Normal humans realise that there are no 'easy' games in the EPL
