  1. Absolutely spot-on! There's always a correlation between being hated and 'winning' things - it's a perverse mentality. Would I rather be successful or popular - it's clear to see the obvious choice. Also outrageous and unrealistic opinions from fans has led to contempt - Spurs are annoyed because of AvB (their fault) - Utd fans because they thought Mourinho might join them (no chance) add in the 'we bought the title, cups' comment and it's clear to see that the 'low education' people have a problem... I'd love to see a table comparing the last 30 years of NET SPENDING with us, City, Utd, Arsenal and Loserpool... I think it would be pretty evident we've not bought the titles and cups - but merely caught up with their spending (they spent a lot over a long period, we spent huge in a short period) - either way the money was spent and WE have a fantastic return on that investment! A lot of those clubs don't - hence the bitterness... Should we feel sympathy for the poor way in which they have been managed? Should we fuck...
  2. Schwarzer MOTM - brilliant save on Joe Allens effort We owned them - thanks Gerrard couldn't have happened better And well done Torres - shades of Barca match there!!! Even Yoonited fans texting me in delight, they don't mind te title going to City - anybody except Loserpool What a glorious day !!! I hope the wheels come off now of Liverpool, and we win our remaining fixtures
  3. Legend - best in the business Great game plan and execution today - even when he was sick
  4. Sturridge was on £60k week because his transfer fee was really low... United will be paying TOP money (the only thing they will be top of for a while) AND ridiculous wages - all whilst maintaining a debt of £400 million.... And people say we bought success? At least our NBV (net book value) is not negative!!! Ridiculous club, ridiculous fans and media journalists that are blithering idiots... I don't see United being trouble for 3-4 seasons...
  5. So I read with interest that Platini has announced that none of the 'non-compliant' clubs will be excluded from European Competitions. So what's the point in complying then - you might ask... Honestly, I have no idea... There seems to be a landmark shift in the 'principles' of FFP since our French cousins lucked out on a few big backers... Conspiracy theory? Absolutely... The damages are likely to be financial - which I find ridiculous - that's the whole point, these clubs cannot (or do not want to) manage their finances to an acceptable level and simply fining them is likely to exacerbate the situation further. I wonder I these fines will subsequently be excluded from next years calculations? Some might argue that like most policies created, the original desire (to offer fair and sustainable competition) has deviated massively from the policy 'actually' enforced. A person with a huge level of cynicism might argue that like 'speeding fines' (originally introduced to reduce accidents), the FFP is now seen as a 'legal' way to generate 'Income' to the holding body... I have deliberately avoided referencing Platini too much as he might just be the vocal voice of a committee (likely) pushing this from behind the scenes, but when Spanish and English clubs were the majority failing this 'test' it seemed the punishment was high, now that French clubs belong to this collection, sanctions are reduced. I'm not crying xenophobia - but it does look like an investigation into this is needed by journalists to uncover more solid facts - in the same way as the World Cup going to Qatar was investigated and threw up some interesting issues. My daily gripe is now finished would welcome some thoughts and links to articles - I'm too lazy to reference the material I have read
  6. And therein lies the media bias John Terry is persecuted for sleeping with Wayne Bridges ex girlfriend and knowing 'women' slightly - I would guess she probably orchastrated it to get back at Wayne for some slight (as so often happens)... Whilst Giggs is lauded as a player and person, yet betrays HIS OWN family! The sacrosanct bond of family destroyed by this guy - but he's a walk on water hero. After comprehending that - it's no wonder why 'The Media' offer me little information - I tend to focus on what they are not saying. It's like the classic move of saying to someone - 'Wow look at that and when they turn to look, you nick a chip off their plate'
  7. RIP There have been huge advancements in Cancer treatment - but like all organisms it is constantly adapting - talk of conspiracy on treatment is a bit far fetched. The problem is consistent and unilateral treatment... Nobody is there yet...
  8. The team looks the same as 2 years ago? certainly parked the bus nicely Look - it's just my opinion - but I'm not feeling this guy is the answer. Jose knows best though and delighted if I'm proved wrong
  9. Yeah but I got sucked into believing the hype on here that he was some kind of scoring machine...What I actually saw was a grumpy cunt giving about 80% effort. If you can't turn it on for a home game in the CL Semi's - you ain't the man for this club! (that's the gist of my badly made point) Whereas Falcao ripped us to shreds... Just sayin is all
  10. Yup, prior to that we made some really shrewd buys under 'Tinker Man' Since Roman arrived our scouting network went to shit... I just want Traore to step up next year he was a beast in pre-season... Exactly the player we need. I'd love us to sign an 'unknown' striker though a la Didier and absolutely rule next season! I mean who thought Suarez would be this good? Fc king Liverpool always find brilliant strikers... Rush, Aldridge (Rush look alike), Fowler... Sigh
  11. I think it's clear he's not the messiah, just a grumpy little boy I'm not sure how much of an upgrade he'd actually be? I still think fuckit - keep Eto and play Lukaku... And sign Bony or the dude on loan at Newcastle... Cavanni too much of a risk, Falcao looks broken and the only other player is Messi or Suarez...
  12. Aye - when I worked with the lads who make Football Manager - we created a 'Roman' filter - most expensive player with the worst stats it never made it into production tho - too much of a hot potato was funny though
  13. Schwarzer MOTM for me. Cech is a tough act to follow - and he did well! Terry hoping its not a major injury! Costa - looked shit... Honestly, I had more respect for Torres - he really put a shift in. I'm sorry but I don't see Costa solving our issues and erring back towards Cavanni Great result though - fuck other teams, jealousy is so obvious... 1-0 at the bridge I thought we might score from last corner Lampard and Luiz were shit all night on set pieces - what the fuck are they doing in training? Let someone else have a go
  14. Traore is.... I would rather start Chalobah than Ramires right now. Chalaboh isn't likely to lose the plot like Villa or Sunderland. I will rescind my plea to oust Ramires - IF - he seeks sports therapy and gets some mental coaching on keeping his cool. He is adding to the problem, rather than reducing it... As an 'experienced' player he should be leading by example - not pulling stupid stunts lie he is doing!!!
  15. Wow this thread has escalated in a few hours As I'm on 10 warning points already (do these have a shelf life? - like speeding points? ) I would advise ALL members to not get caught up in it! The reason I spend so much time here is the diverse background of so many supporters and the widely ranging opinions - some I like, some I don't. I think it's testament to how far we have come this year, that we are all hurting a little that we seemed to have let the Prem slip through our grasp. I hope we don't let emotions get the better of our normal debates. It's so easy to get caught up in the moment - but lets all step back and take some time. Sure, life is full of people you don't agree with - but the human brain is a super computer - just filter out the 'noise' Our only focus should be tomorrow night. Hope you guys/girls read this and take it in the spirit meant - not condescending or patronising - just a genuine plea. Some of you will think this post makes me appear 'weak' - I don't mind I'm used to widely ranging perceptions of me
  16. Dude - we have 20 or 30 'homegrown' players in our reserves and loan teams. We don't need this donkey he's not even worth £100 week...
  17. Fuck me - seriously? Wellbeck is SHIT Couldn't score in a brothel... Anybody who wants him - I'm sorry you're not aiming high enough!
  18. Mata was playing shit AND KdB looked hopeless... Sunderland nearly beat City Why the overreaction on players? City have some great players and found it tough going! Credit to Sunderland they wanted it more! It had nothing to do with better players - man for man ALL of our players are better than theirs - THIS was and will always be about HEART and DESIRE - they had it, we didn't... I can't blame Jose for that - he would have been meticulous in his planning as always - not his fault he has inherited a team of pussies...
  19. Yeah I'm hoping a CL win inflates prices a little If Torres and Andy Carroll combined were £85 million - a man can dream
  20. He has nothing left to offer - sad to say but footballers also need intelligence - and he has none! He's a mid-table / smaller club player - Norwich/Newcastle etc He should not start another Chelsea game! I used to be his biggest fan - but we have now outgrown him - time for him to move on... Out in the summer: (must) - save the wages and take £50 million for the lot... Ramires Moses Marin Mikele (Nice) - if we get other strikers (try and get £15 million for both) Torres BA That gives us £65 million and any prize money - about a total of £80'million to spend on 2 Strikers and 1 midfielder...
  21. Agree - he is no longer Chelsea material
  22. I'm not blaming the Ref! Ramires should have walked - that was ridiculous behaviour and if it was Suarez we'd all be going mad! Ramires has a dirty streak and I'm done forgiving him. He's not Chelsea material and I don't want to see him again after the summer! We took the lead and then 'crumbled' instead of dominating - how many times this season has that happened! This is OUR problem. We should never put ourselves in the position (as with Villa) where the Ref can fuck us. So you can blame the Ref as much as you want - I don't, I blame the past 6 years of managerial instability, I blame the lack of football identity and I blame the players for being awful when it counts. HOWEVER all of this can and will be resolved in the next 2-3 seasons with the right investment in players and a steady managerial presence! Long game people...
  23. Sigh - we got what we deserve... If we can't beat Sunderland - we deserve nothing and 'nothing' is what we got They could have beaten City in the week - that was our wake up call It was a war out there - they fought, we were like little kids.. We need more 'men' in our team... Roll on the summer - get some players in and do it all next season Sure Losepool might win the league - but next year they won't. We will
