  1. I'm still happy but tinged with Anger over another shit referee performance - can you appeal Yellow cards? If not - then that needs changing! Costa was clearly fouled. A little gutted that we didn't put them to the sword - Goal Difference might count come the end of season. Definitely loved our increase in passing tempo - still needs work, but we can see where it's headed This is what managerial stability brings. Solid improvements in style and understanding -,rather than a new manager every season with new ideas
  2. Cech not starting according to Evening Standard! Less than 3 hours
  3. Zzzz is this argument still going on? It doesn't matter who is better than who - both are playing for a mediocre team
  4. Oh well tough shit - he has a contract here and will play here! The 'only' thing better in Madrid than London is the weather - and that's been pretty epic this summer... What his Wife/Bird means - is its easier to get a shag in London and she's worried about her position as a WAG!
  5. Lol such a sad journo - complaining Loserpool can't sign anybody like this for the money.... No you wasted it on average players dickhead! Costa deal (by all accounts) was done before the end of last season - which is why the price bears no correlation to the crazy summer figures. How do these people even become journo's ?
  6. He's not a bad player for that money - he works hard, has decent pace and scores some cracking goals...
  7. I'm not so sure - it will be Matic / Fabregas in majority of games IMHO I think Ramires will be used selectively or as a sub to alter games... Just my opinion though and I don't care either way as long as win
  8. To be fair - the Ramires we are seeing now is different to the Ramires that finished last season... Or the Ramires that played on the RW. He is an incredibly useful player when used correctly. I wouldn't want to rely on him every game - but he can and will do a job this season.
  9. Ohh and forgot to add AKE was amazing - this guy has a big future at the club - athletic and comfortable defending and getting down the flank! We have some amazing youth prospects to come - and with us inside FFP regs - we really do have a bright future
  10. Gutted we stopped at 2-0 - but that was an amazing 20 minutes Cesc was awesome sitting deep, helping the Tempo Costa had great linkup play I thought Oscar did ok - he was unlucky Torres did better than expected Ramires was good again apart from one stray pass I loved MvG's crunching tackle near the end. SUPERB! I have a feeling he's going to be a really useful player this season and wish him all the luck in the World. Just genuinely delighted with the Squad - so much strength and depth - just need the players to put in minimum 7/10 performances and as a team we should be contenders! It's just so nice watching a forward run into the box for a change...
  11. Never let facts ruin a good argument
  12. Is there much difference between the two? Both played for average teams and both found the net? Not sure that Bony is any better? And at double the price?
  13. It's all relative - high transfer fee + average wages = low transfer fee + high wages The only downside of the latter - is moving the player on afterwards.... We get another Torres...
  14. Thing is they escaped some of this sanctions this time around - if they fail again they are proper fucked
  15. Yup - what you describe there is the micro-fine line between winning and just missing out Lets hope we called it right this season
  16. Fair enough - I did say after this season he could be in for a shout and if it goes as expected - I would support that. Whilst JT is around he is the Captain. I'm not sure about Iva or Cahill as captains and maybe Cech will go? But lets get this season out of the way first
  17. Big season for him - he has all the skills - now he needs to convert these into goals and assists... Lets win the league Eden and you'll likely get your Baloon d'or
  18. Surely that's why Zouma has been purchased - to learn from JT and be his cover? Whilst JT is still playing the way he is - he needs to be in the team - I like the fact that Zouma gets to work with him day in day out - as Zouma will know what's required of him... I don't want to keep buying players - I want the ones we have to come through under the tutelage of existing players... This keeps a level of continuity and consistency (something we have lacked for a while)...
  19. Yup it's going to be an all out war - this is why the EPL generates so much interest, genuinely 4-5 teams that could string together a Title bid... Arsenal have always started badly and finished ok - I think it will be the opposite this season. City will be tough as usual It's Utd, Scousers, Spuds and maybe Everton that will be unpredictable... The Spuds might do well with their new manager - but expect them to drop off as well - if they lose a few - the dressing room gets toxic very quickly...
  20. Good luck to him - he showed sparks of something, then another injury derailed him. Hope he can find some form and has some injury free seasons. I think the lad genuinely wanted to do well here and he worked hard in Pre-Season in the US and looked good until the injury. I know he's an easy target for ridicule - but it can't be easy being injured all of the time.
  21. Agreed - I think we all just want some consistency from him - nobody can question his work rate - just his decisions and Paul Scholes tackles earning needless yellows
  22. I don't think Mou stated he had a good enough attack? In fact he got caught moaning about them We just simply don't know what's going on behind the scenes and the HG quota is causing a few problems - so I hope one of our young lads gets a chance up front - no expense, no HG issues and every chance to succeed! If not Remy will do fine
