  1. I am very excited to see him playing for us. The fact that Chelsea can sign a promising Brazilian midfielder, and ManUnited can´t is really sweet in itself. Oscar looks so composed and so cool headed on the ball and when under pressure he almost always found a way to get out of there. Playing in the PremierLeague is a different ballgame compared to the Olympics and the Brazilian leauge, but why disrispect these competitions only because Oscar is not yet a proven Kaka sort of guy ? I am sure he will adapt just as Ramires has. He looks like a very smart player, who´ll know what to do when challenged. As long as people don´t expect miricals in his first appearances, i think we will see a very interesting season of him combining with Hazard, Torres, Ramires and Marin. I see a very dynamic midfield there, when (note: not if) it gels.
  2. If there just was a way to nurture understudy goalkeepers into starting positions without risking anything in the season or stoping the development. The problem with goalkeepers is that if they are rested too much they sort of have to regain their sharpness as well. De Gea/Lindegaard at United last season was a prime example. Hopefully Courtois joins Chelsea and Petr Cech next season and somehow gets some playing time.
  3. - Setting a positive tone for a future mind development, i.e. playing young players as much as possible (if we sit comfortable in a game, cup competitions, group stages) - Robbie being manager for the 2013/14 season - Torres starting to get more goals, better football in the middle of the park, more spark in our game in general Trophy wise i really don´t know. I guess the Euro/World Cup Super blabla competitions should be managable. Securing Champions League for the following season, a good cup run, CL Semis, and I´d be delighted. And yes, and start winning games against the other big four again, ffs.
  4. Yeah, brought a tear to my eye when he was shot. Defenitly gotta watch The Wire again. Back to topic. Is this guy anywhere near first team football ? I hope we sign that Azpi guy. He seems to be ready for the first team.
  5. the dude from the wire... gonna get his shirt for shure. sorry, i am gone already.
  6. In real life, being a manager is not like playing FIFA12 though, mate.
  7. Hazard still needs to find his feed a bit and has to find his role in the team. He was always drifting inside, that it seemed that he likes to play behind a / the strikers. Maybe we find an option to get some dynamic between Mata and Hazard going down the left. How to set up the midfield really gives me a headache with all these attacking midfielders.
  8. For some reason I can´t wait for the game to start.
  9. I don´t know what´s not to like about people who are moody in the morning. It´s normal, isn´t it ? Essien with his 16 hours of sleep a day I can see never being moody though. Playing football is just the only thing he has to get up for and obviously isn´t very happy about that.
  10. "His is always moody in the morning"
  11. Thanks ! I love these videos. Lamps a bit cheeky there, haha. Oh and yes, miss Didier as well.
  12. Is he really playing the high-line again ?
  13. Where is the quoute from ? I saw it in a video on chelseaTV once, but i can´t find it again.
  14. I think his experience is worth keeping him. He is a very unusal wide player, given that he is more of a workhorse than a tidy, pacey, small dribbler. It sometimes is frustrating to watch him slowing down attacks and not creating too much, but then there are just these moments when he makes a good run and gets to the end of a diagonal ball and converts. I think it is not bad, if we kept him and Benayoun, simply for experience. We can´t let everyone above thirty go, we would be where we left in Carlos second season, which we finished 2nd, quite remarkle afterall.
  15. My god, this is pathetic. What is wrong with this message board that everyone just flings shit at each other as soon as someone has a different opinion ? And what´s with all these broad statements like "Brana´s crosses are shit" ? Are these actually helpful statements or just starting off a stupid arguement that leads to absoloutly nothing in the end. Not that everything has to come to a point, but reading that just makes me sigh and hope for some help, because it is just so predictable where these things lead to.
  16. hope he gets to take some time off. this guy has been playing so much football in the last year or so. he really should rest, otherwise he´ll burn out soon.
  17. Patience, something a few Chelsea fans don´t understand as a concept.
  18. Azpi, nothing less, nothing more. That´s what it will come down to eventually anyway.
  19. just switched it on. it.is.a.treat.
  20. haha yeah, totally. I like the Smiths better than Mozzas solo material which I think is quite dire. ...from what I read Oscar is doing very good for Brazil ?
  21. Bertrand is doing good. Covers his left side pretty good. Sturridge with a lot of movement troubleing Senegals defense.
  22. These kind of threads are exactly the reason why I have some resentments against message boards. First thing in the morning I want to read so opinion and what do I get ? Some unbalanced, knee jerk reactions to a lost pre-season (!!!!!! how many more times?) game. To be fair there are a lot of good postings on here , the majority actually. ( I am just on a banter-mission) But as soon as the slightest of things goes wrong, there are all the voices who know exactly why Mikel (of all people) is shit, that our squad is overrated (by whom exactly?) and that we are in deep shit already (yes, already, three pre-season games "into the season"). I am just wondering with what sort of expectations people watch Chelsea play football. We don´t hold the devine right to win every game. Football is a game of "some you win, some you lose". We just had one of our truely great seasons last season and people, I mean, some of the the own fans write us off already ? What kind of mentality and spirit is that ? We haven´t even see someone like Marin in competative action, and already is shit ? What sort of view on football is that anyway ? I am not saying that one can´t critique players or a performance, but what I certainly think is stupid are these kind of broad generalizations who don´t help anyone to understand what one thinks is going on. And please, don´t give me a "Lukaku/Mikel/Malouda/Hazard/Mata is shit" anymore because they don´t perform like on the X Box. The footballers we discuss here are not shit. They just have different qualities. It is not like you just win the lottery and become a first team footballer in one of Europes biggest teams. I am sometimes jumping on several bandwagons myself, but I try to stick to some differenciated views after the initial knee jerk reactions.
