  1. "What's Sir Alex going to do with the hairdryer?" says SB Tang. "Point it at himself?" "What's Fergie going to do with the hairdryer?" says Alex Netherton. "He could try it in midfield, I suppose. " from the Guardian mbm.
  2. Every single season since he´s left Chelsea, he teases and gives hints at his return to england and his love for chelsea, which is sweet obviously. I am getting tired though, i am happy with RDM at the helm and i think it is time for now to forget about Mourinho, keep his fire and the memories alive is fine, but we can´t be that obsessed about him. We are History Makers, and not constantly reminisscing about the past, which was glorious but not flawless obviously.
  3. They defend really compact and have a dynamic midfield. Fellaini and Baines would cut it in any top 4 team I am sure. They don´t have a problem scoring goals this season. They usually struggled with that. Oh, and they don´t seem to miss Rodwell one bit. I guess they really can´t afford to lose any of their starting eleven to injuries.
  4. Swansea really got their ass whipped by Everton. Everton are playing really well.
  5. I imagine them playing headers and volleys in the kitchen - with the sink as the goal.
  6. Yes, exactly. Did he ever came on for us ? Oh and the signing of Quaresma. Desperate.
  7. I just remember how flat we looked at times. Frustratingly toothless, no edge in the attack, that this weird signing of a free agent (can´t even remember his name). Goodness me, these scoreless draws were sooo awefull to watch. I think we got found out pretty quickly. Pushing the fullbacks back on the pitch, pressuring the DM (Mikel/Essien) and just put one big defender on Anelka...Hiddinks arrival truely was a breaze of fresh air, as he installed Drogba back in the attack. Obviously Hiddink and Ancelotti prolonged the ever needed transition with their success. RdM now has the unthankful task of doing what should´ve started 4 years ago.
  8. Beating them in our own style and winning the trophy in our own style as well was the best make up for all the deeps we´ve gone through in the CL. For me it didn´t felt like revenge, it was more important to get closer to the eventual success.
  9. Well this can be closed as well now. A shame really. Same for Hulk.
  10. I´ll be in Valencia when this is happening. Not shure if I find a spot there to watch it, but I am sure anyway taht we´ll trash them. We can´t have them derange our season again.
  11. The only plus side to this deal is that Oriol could get more games. The horrible downside is that we bought him for 12m. and sold him for 8m. And that we probably are about to see a lot more of the magic that "Mikel-Lampard" are working out together. Another plus side could be that with Raul gone Oscars opertunity for a starting place just openend up. All in all, I am not convinced by this deal.
  12. Not until January when we have the chance to replace him. We would way to thin in midfield if now let Raul go as well. He is not the most talented midfielder, but a solid and attacking minded CM, who definitly plays better alongside Mikel than Lampard. Hope this doesn´t materialise.
  13. Never realized how rocky Suarez first touch is. I can see another draw here.
  14. I can imagine Eden and Thorgan practising these back heel flicks for ages when they were kids. Driving teammates/oppostion defenders crazy on school pitches. So, he is not just been bought for settling Eden ? Or he didn´t like London ? Anyways, always good to have prospects like him in the youth teams.
  15. What a player DiSanto has become. Delighted for him. Does anyone know if Lukaku came on for West Brom today ?
  16. Expect them to be all out for us. They hate us, whilst we don´t care. Caught us off guard last time we played them at their "stadium".
  17. It was difficult to see what we were trying there last night. If we have had a gameplan against Atletico, I am not sure what it was, and in case we had one, it went out of the window after the first 15 crucial minutes. We always start slowely and not firing away, but it was very hard to come back into this after 2:0 down. From then on it was game over. We simpley had no answer to their counter attacking style. We didn´t want to sit as deep as against Barca or Bayern for a reason (change of style et al). Two main problems for me in the team selection: - Lampard and Mikel don´t work as our midfield dynamo, they don´t add to each others game. With Lampard feeling his legs it is obvious that Mikel has to venture forward, which he did and did good on occasions (did I spot a Mikel dribble there, btw ? ). The remaining problem is Lampard. If he wants to finish his carreer at Chelsea he has to accept that his role has to be reduced. For his own sake, he should just stay out of some games, Atleticos midfield runs basicially let Lamps chasing shadows, he doesn´t have the physique anymore. Mikel can´t make up for that, because he is the only cover for our centre halves. I think Mereiles and Mikel looked pretty good together. Raul is less talented compard to Lampard, but he is still a "pass and move" player, something we need in that position. - Ramires obviously is not a RW. That leaves us with the problem, what to do with him ? I think the sane people would agree that he is one of the reasons why we finished the season as we did. Mata and him were our players of the year, I think. With all our midfield wizards, I am not sure how to fit in Ramires into it as he is a player suited to the old 4-3-3 havoc causing power block that we were in our best seasons. I think that players like him and Moses (who could play as a target man as well, in my opinion) are best used to give variety to our tactics. Our Plan B, so to speak. Maybe Ramires could play in a Essien role for as, as he has the physique and and the pace. That is what I think.
  18. They will have to feel Chelsea´s wrath after this.
  19. Good day for Spurs fans. Not so much for us (until now). Why are we loaning out players like Yossi and Ess, instead of selling them, i don´t get it.
  20. Congratulations to Atletico, clearly the better side tonight. Falcao is just a special player. I think this game doesn´t mean as much as people make it up to be. It is a UEFA showpiece afterall. Of course it is emberassing to lose that high, but to be honest, watching Robbie in the interview here is just proving that we are on the right track. The attitude was poor, we looked like Pre Season, but fuck it, hats off to Falcao and a very talented Atletico side. And another thing, I am close to delete my account here. All this knee jerk reactions, all this negativity (which is easily confused with realism, but which i don´t confuse), all these spoiled brats, throwing all out of the pram when it on an off day doesn´t go right,I am sick of it. I honestly don´t know why I invest time into this. Apart from some posters like Hutcho, zolayes, Kez, Duppy and Fulham Broadway amongst others who really can keep their head in situations like this, a lot of people are just premature internet warriors.
  21. Oscar is at least a silver strive in this bombshell.
