Great to see that he got involved straight away. Do you think he could become a starter for West Brom ?

Hollywood pass acoming.

Having watched Hulk only a little when playing for Porto, a little bit of Brazil and all the Olympics, I came to the conclusion that he would be a good signing for us. He has this ability to keep his team on the frontfoot and carries his teammates through a rough spell, at least that´s what my sense was after the Olympics. I don´t know why he´s been labeled as "above average". I think his a quality forward, versitile in his positioning, strong shoot on him, massive appearance. Imagine him playing on the wing and give nightmares to all these small fullbacks out there. He just muscles his way through if possible but also can dribble really well. If he signs, I´d be delighted, and might it just be for the fact that we then have a third striker on board for the season.
-
Glad that they are taking care of the situation. Most of us have been saying the same think after 3/4 of the last season, that he just showed signs of fatigue. Unbelieveable how he pulled through and went on playing over the whole summer. Of course, he hasn´t featured much in the Euros, but just being involved in the NT is always going to be a lot of training, etc. He has to get his mind off it for a bit to recreate his creative spark and keep his sense. If he´d be always tired he´d become more injury prone and getting distracted by his body and probably won´t be that sharp. But as I said, glad that Robbie, Juan and the Spanish FA trying to sort some time out for him.

Who played the cross for Luk´s goal ? Absolout class. I just love it when these come off. That goal is text book.
-
One can´t just not like Laudrup. Always thought he is class. Good results for an opening day. Ah the buzz of the new season, before it all settles in the look of the PL table is always crazy.

Could just go on with the Manc teams drawing and a certain West London club and their striker putting three past the club that has to play on the saddest grounds in the EPL.
-
Apparently the deal isn´t that advanced as sources such as Sky claim it is. Their president there is no deal yet.. Can´t stand it either when our ex players join another EPL club. Especially if it´s that shower of shite QPR.

Robin van Persie joins Manchester United

Massive blow for Arsenal. First Van Persie, next one to sign off might be Alex Song. To be fair though, they´ve bought some good replacements. For some reason I can see Podolski doing well under Wenger. He seems to understand Podolskis impulsive game and his complicated ego. It never gets boring in football, that´s for sure. -
How do you know that it´s AVBs fault ?
-
What ? Liverpool signed Sahin on loan ? Can´t find it anywhere.
-
Although this looks very good on paper, I still have my doubts about their midfield. It is too unbalanced in my opinion, to little defesinve structures in that. Carrick is good, but there is no way that he will be able cover their injury prone defenders for a whole season. Valencia is good in tracking back, but he hardly drifts inside to help out against a steamrolling team like City last season. Will be interesting how they´ll do. Just look how they did in Europe. Any team with a slightly better organised midfield outplayed them all the time.

I enjoy a good banter once in a while with my mates (a lot of Arsenal, some ManUnited, few Spurs and a couple of Liverpool supporters) but it gets boring relatively quickly. The concept of banter is not real conversation, is it.

Was he playing ?
-
So sad. Too young obviously to end the carreer. But he really is an inspiration and his story should be remembered for a long time. To get the priorities straight when football is getting to surreal again.

Liverpool Fan Bets £44,000 for Liverpool to win the League!

Every year the same. They just don´t learn. -
Finally they sorted that top section out and get the priorities straigt: not having the Shopping button before anything else, for example. Something you´d expect from a Clubs Website, really. Now they still have the CFC Shop in a prominent position but a little less obvious than before. It looks good, all in all, but I have to say that I am sometimes disappointed with the lack of news you get from the website compared to other offical sports websites concerning football.

Oh please no. I hate him so much. Such a dirty player. Not even need to go back to that WC final. When he was at Hamburg he was tackeling anything that moved and most of the times unfair. A thousand times no.
-
Biggest mistake by Carlo in his time with us, in my opinion. I still can´t quite believe it that they went on so hyped up about the signing that they lost any sense for football. He couldn´t get off his Chelsea carreer with a worse starting opertunity as the game against his old club where he was the golden boy.

On an other note: Thank FUck that League Football is back. Euros, Olympicy, all nice that, but the first day of the season is always special.

That Rodwell deal seems to me as some sort snapshot buisness, buying for the sake of buying.

Won´t be able to watch this as I play football myself in a 11 a side against a team from Peterborough. Mysteriously we always get to play teams that are on a stag do in Berlin. Well, anyway, City have a strong team and so do we. This is the first game that counts for me for a bit, but still not as much. I don´t expect much, but I think that the team will perform stronger than we´ve witnissed in Pre-Season, as this match usually sets the tone for the season sometimes. I think we can beat Citeh. Let´s go and fucking rocknroll.
-
I was just exegarating, because some people reacted to his miss like he will be in an emotional meltdown and not being able to ever play football again, and certainly not for Cheslea.
-
Come on, let´s not be overdramatic here. Yes, It was a big chance in the end , but not a bad miss, given that it wasn´t the winner and that he is not the strongest header. He is only 20, it´s not like we signed a 28 year old whos chances are numbered. He won´t be in complete turmoil, he´s a pro and will play for new oppertunities to win trophies. So, let´s not write him off just now.
-
Unlucky, he had it right there. Well played though over the game, i thought.
