Hats of to this guy, I think he proved many of us, me included, completely wrong with his strong performances. He deservedly cemented his place in the starting XI.

Who would have thought that Moses would play for Chelsea in 2016? I am really happy for him, because he is a hard worker who gives his best all the time, that is a right attitude. If he keeps that up he will start most games, as Conte is big fan of him it seems.

Tapatalk doesn´t work for me with this site anymore, it always crashes. I then deleted Tapatalk and downloaded it again, but now it can´t find TalkChelsea for some reason..

The thing that makes me cringe about him is his slow backtracking like he doesn´t even care. As midfielder he should have a good stamina to go up and down the pitch in a decent pace, but look at the game yesterday he basically strolled back when Arsenal hit us on the counter, leaving Kante and our horrendous defence sometimes even outnumbered against their pacey players. Even a 34 year old Lampard would look like Ramires next to him when it comes to energy. I don´t know why Conte wants him to be his number 8, because he clearly isn´t athletic enough to fill this role, not to mention his obvious lack of technique going forward. I think he could have done a job in a double pivot next to Kante, but as I said he is clearly useless at attacking and playmaking. I mean even Oscar would have been better yesterday, as the Brazilian has much more energy and atleast knows how to press opponents.

He wasn't even our worst midfielder today to begin with. Atleast he offers something forward in comparison to Oscar, as can be seen against Watford, Leicester and Swansea. Of course Fabregas isn't a monster when it comes to defending like Kante, but as most advanced/creative midfielder he isn't supposed to do that much defensively, I mean we started two DM's to do that job, but somehow Conte feels that Matic is a box to box midfielder. It's also not his fault that Matic was so bad that our defence got totally exposed.
-
We really should have sold him when Juve was interested, now he will be stuck in our average squad forever, just like Oscar.
-
You were 100% right mate.
-
No Fabregas, no party.
-
You are for Cahill what Phil Driver (former member) was for Mikel!
-
Completely isolated because we play with Oscar and Matic (yes that assist doesn't take away that he is clueless going forward) as advanced midfielders, but he did score again with his only real chance in the game. I hope Costa can keep it up, a goal- machine upfront is exactly what we need if we want to compete for a top four finish, especially if you consider that we aren't going to get many goals from the likes of Willian and so on.

The only reason he plays every game is that Conte believes is he is our own version of Giacherini. Needs to get benched as fast as possible, he gets outplayed by almost every half decent centre midfielder in the Premier League for years, yet gets away with it. Every Chelsea manager sees something special in him which no fan understands at all. I mean what has he done in his four years at the club apart from scoring a double against Buffon and a good run of games in autumn 2013? Oh yes those goals against third league clubs, how could I forgot them? I don't even care who plays on Tuesday night instead of him, but if he makes the starting XI our midfield will be overrun again and offering NO support for our attackers.

Who would have thought back in 2012 that he would start alongside Luiz in 2016?
-
He atleast puts good crosses into the box whereas Willian....

We lack a good passer in CM big time, but no suprise when Oscar and Matic are playing..

A convincing win against Liverpool on my birthday- that would be nice! [emoji4]

I hope he can cement his place in the starting XI soon, we need technical players in midfield going forward. Look at City or at all the other top teams. Yes he has shortcomings when it comes to defending, but with Kante we can compensate them. It's just sad seeing a player as limited and one-dimensional as Matic playing as advanced midfielder when we have one of the best passers in the game sitting on the bench for 75 minutes per game. We should look to keep Fabregas and play him with Kante and Oscar/Matic in midfield until summer when we should by someone like Nainggolan or Veratti.
-
We can blame the referee all day long, but in truth Hazard and Costa missed two sitters in the first half, which would have put this game to bed before halftime..
-
Bring on Batshuayi!!
-
I would have liked to see Batsuhayi in the starting XI for once...
-
To be honest nothing at his time here, granted he didn't play that much, suggested that he would turn into this calibre of player. I think it's a little bit over the top to criticize Mourinho on this one. According to many sources Kevin didn't train that good as well so it was understandable at that time to let him go to Wolfsburg.
-
I guess some people on here will cry if City wins...
-
Welbeck, Kompany, RvP, Robben or our very own Alex.
-
Hope you are fine now. [emoji4]

I doubt Kante would have been a backup at United. He is the perfect Mourinho player and it seems like he desperately wanted at him in Manchester. Kante would have easily displaced Fellaini at the DM position with Pogba playing more advanced.

Give Mikel some respect, it's not like he is complaining about his role or like he is on big wages. He still played his part in the development of Chelsea in the Abramovich Era. There were players who were much worse than John Obi Mikel, not to mention that he was forced to play always out of position.
