  1. Good news, 57m pounds for Morata is ridiculous, even in todays market.
  2. No they didn´t change the venue, but the former name of the new Allianz Stadium was "Gerhard-Hannapi Stadion", which sounds similiar to our NT-Stadium, so you might have mistook it, which is not a problem at all.
  3. @Jason The game takes place in the new "Allianz Stadion", the Ernst-Happel stadium is the venue of our National team. ;-)
  4. From Morata to Pelle (as di Marzio says) is quite a downstep.
  5. With the arrival of Batsuhayi and possible Morata he seems on his way out. Would be hard to take because despite his antics he offers many things like good runs, movements and obviously goals. But if he really wants to leave us for Atletico we should let him go, we need a calm season to rebuild our team and don't need irritating sagas off the pitch.
  6. Tactical Genius. I was never as excited waiting for a new manager as I am now.
  7. Please just give Roma the 40-45 million € so we can start to build a new midfield in order to give Hazard more room going forward.
  8. Thanks, have fun on friday and may the better team win!
  9. We played very good in the first few minutes, creating many chances, but then the Netherlands started to control the game and we conceded a very unlucky goal. From then it was very hard for our offence, because Netherlands defended very well. In second half they scored another goal, and we couldn't get back into the game. Austria didn't play well the last few games and lost 3 out of 4 ( against Switzerland, Turkey and now Netherlands), so the enthusiasm after our qualification declined a little bit in our country. Our biggest problem is the lack of a striker, Janko is just basically our version of Crouch. I am looking forward to our game, will be very interesting. Where does Hungary stand now in football?
  10. Just saw him live in the stadium, when Austria played the Netherlands one hour ago. Played really well and unfortunately helped them to win 2-0 against us. :/
  11. To be fair Podolski always performed much better for Germany than at club level. Great servant for them over the years.
  12. A self- called 'superfan' like TOPTB would have destroyed you for this post. :-D
  13. Nailed on that we end up with someone like Paulinho.
  14. I will never forget his display at Munich, in which he kept an on-form Robben quiet for 120 minutes. Not to mention his very important penalty to take us level in the shootout.
  15. Maybe Diego wants back to Atletico this summer and made his mind clear to the board behind the scenes? I hope not, because I think Costa>Lukaku
  16. Yes, I think despite his lack of top-class technique Costa is still a world class striker (or atleast close to it), because of his movements and goal-scorig instincts, he showed that especially last season. Lukaku on the other hand just doesn't cut it at top level for me. He is missing football IQ, despite getting on the scoresheet on a regular basis. His overall qualities are enough for Everton for example, but he wouldn't start at any top club in Europe as it stands now.
  17. Loyalty doesn't count in football anymore, that's why Terry and Drogba should get a statue in front of Stamford Bridge. Proper legends
  18. Someone like Dybala or Lacazette would be perfect. They are technical strikers who are able to give a team say 15-20 goals a season and would complement Costa very well I guess.
  19. He was always going to United at some point of his career, that was clear ever since SAF retired. That's the reason why I never bought this 'one of us' crap.
  20. What an amazing night that was. Full of twists. After Bayern got their penalty in extra time I thought it was finally over, but Cech and Drogba saved us.
  21. He scored some beautiful goals at the world cup and later for RM but that's basically it. No suprise that both Benitez and Zidane almost never played him in important games.
  22. In my opinion that team was overall better than this seasons. We started very well and iirc after ten games we had only one defeat, which in my opinion is convincing enough. As you said we had certain problems, but I thought we had a very good team from August to October. Then in autumn/winter we conceded the problems of having an ageing squad. At some point our starting XI had only one player who was under 27 years old in Mikel. Results have gone downwards, but we still got 75 points I think, which is about Arsenals average league results. May I ask what you didn't like about our two 6-0 wins? I think they were quite convincing, especially the second one against Burnley. Maybe the scores were flattering though, I can't remember them that much, other than Drogba, Kalou, Anelka and Malouda scoring.
  23. I understand that he criticizes Roman for certain incidents, firing Ray Wilkins fo example, but his explanations are a bit one-sided. The beginning of the end for Ancelottis reign was actually our 2010 summer transfer window, when we didn´t replace experienced players like Ballack, Joe Cole, Belleti and Deco and only bought Ramires who took his time to adjust to English football. Ancelotti should have been more vocal and demand a new winger, but then again our weaknesses were overshadowed by our great double-season. From November 2010 on everyone could see that our 2010/11 campaign won´t end well, considering the lackluster performances of our players, Anelka and Malouda in particular. There were also injuries to Drogba and Lampard, which kept them sidelined for a long time and back then we couldn´t compensate those two players with our thin squad. As far as I can remember Ancelotti made many mistakes too, like leaking our starting XI in press conferences or insisting on Anelka and Malouda even tough they were absolutely rubbish from November until March. What I didn´t liked about him was his stubbornness to play the same players week after week. The boys rehabilitated themselves after the 2-1 against United, but ultimately it wasn´t enough for Ancelotti to stay. Back then I thought this was the correct decision, Ancelotti clearly didn´t reach the players anymore and we needed a new start. The manner in which he got fired was still a disgrace, especially when you consider how great our double season was. He was very much liked by the players though.
  24. A fast, technical striker alongside Costa would be a better fit than Higuain. Someone like Griezmann,Dybala or Lacazette.
