A win would have been very good yesterday, but I take that draw against Burnley away too. The other top 6 teams will lose a lot of points to eachother so we just have to carry on winning like we did all season and the title is ours in late April. Up the Chels.

Fabregas and Pedro have to start. We need more creativity in midfield as Matic clearly lacks the technique to play those dangerous balls to Costa. He upped our game big time towards the end yesterday. . Pedro is in much better form than compared to Willian and is actually a serious goal threat who could profit from Fabregas passing range.

As much as I like him, we have to look at better options in the summer. He is an average player who clearly lacks football intelligence in the final third...

Can´t stand that Henderson guy, he really thinks he is the reincarnation of Gerrard. Would be very sweet to crush his title dreams.
-
Meh. Wished that he stayed with us to lift his third Premier League title and to get a proper send off.
-
Begovic is a very good number 2.

Agree. This isn't the right time for experiments. We need to extend the gap even further as our rivals slipped today.

If we get four points from the Liverpool and Arsenal games we are in a really, really good position to win the league. Whereas the other teams will lose points against the smaller clubs we will continue our trend and win all the games against the lesser sides. Especially Liverpool tends to drop important points against the Sunderlands and Hulls of this world, which gives us a big bolster in the title race. But then again thats just what I hope that happens. With 7 points infront we first and foremost have to look at ourselves, unnecessary incidents like the one with Costa need to be erased immediately.

We won't be winning the league without him.
-
I hope guys like Bats or Zouma can convince in this game.

Whats the point in playing him against Peterborough?

My post wasn´t aimed at you, as you have been level headed in this discussion. Yes, we all know he isn´t consistent enough to be a top 3 player in the world as it stands now, but he still played a big part in our unbeaten run. What bothers me most about him isn´t his consistency(or lack of), but rather his poor finishing. I think he has got more lethal this season under Conte, but for a player of his calibre its still underwhelming. Against Tottenham he had two great chances he failed to convert which could have changed the game. If he scored those two goals no one would have complained that he had an average game overall. I know it´s silly to compare him to Ronaldo and Messi, but those are good examples (Ronaldo in particular) of players who overshadow their bad games with a couple of goals, a trait that Hazard doesn´t have yet.

He needs to get a rest on Sunday to recharge himself again, he looked tired against Spurs. No surprise, he covers so much ground every game that he naturally has to fatigue after some time even tough we don't have many games this year. His passing was also very bad the other night as his concentration was seemingly affected by his tiredness. Next week he will come back in better condition and puts his consistent perfomances in again.

The overreaction. Two games where he didn't set the world alight and suddenly he isn't a top player anymore. Come on a little dip in form is normal, he played very well since September and now he is a little bit tired like the rest of our team. Even on Redcafe or Bluemoon he is labelled as the best PL player this season, so some people need to get some perspective. He gets a good rest of 10 days before we face Leicester and then I am sure he will be on fire again.

Llorente is bang average, no surprise he plays for this weak Swansea side. If we continue to buy this kind of players we are doomed. I mean I know Conte doesn't trust Batsuhayi, but he is clearly better than Llorente especially when it comes to passing or technique. Players like Hazard,Willian and Pedro need someone they actually can combinate with. Llorentes days as a decent striker are gone.

Hmm. From his point of view it is completely understandable to move on, he won everything and in the last years of his career he will make cash money for himself and his family. I liked him first and foremost for his loyal attitude, it wasn't always easy for him as he got offended by the fans many times. He even played out of his position his whole career to help Chelsea, so he deserves a recognition for that. We lost a great guy and a decent squad player.
-
We couldn't get a better replacement for Cole, but it wasn't meant to be, because Mourinho didn't trust him. Now a FB in his tier would cost much more in todays market. :/
-
Thanks to Hazard. He must be responsible for atleast 70% of our dribblings.
-
Imagine we weren't 8 points behind after our sloppy start in September. The title would be ours already. Hats off to this great manager who transformed us to a force in English Football again after that horrible season last year. With a few good signings I believe we are able to compete in the Champions league next season like we have to under normal circumstances.
-
His defensive commitment has been phenomenal this season. Altough he is an offensive player, he is very good in defending and knows how to use his strong body in order to get on the ball. Because of his and Alonso´s back-tracking we are able to outnumber the attacking opponent on the wing, which leads to quick interceptions by one of our defenders and then we can hit the other team on the break like numerous times in yesterdays second half.
-
He was really good today, most probably his best game for Chelsea. You could clearly see his hunger today and it paid off for him. I hope he continues this way, because RW was a weak point in our squad for many years and now we have a player who can score goals when we need them most. On current form he is surely ahead of Willian.
-
Never leave us, Eden. He would go down as one of the all time greats at Stamford Bridge.
-
If he plays for Real or Barcelona he would be hailed as the best fullback in the world.
-
As I said he wouldn't fit our system at all, but under the right circumstances he has potential to be world class, like in Dortmund. He ripped the Bundesliga apart at a very young age, so he is hardly 'shit'. And yes he is better than overrated James Rodriguez.
