  1. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/spurs-should-snap-up-dimitar-berbatov-and-end-fergies-cruel-treatment-8062689.html Couldn't agree more, never realized Berbativ has roughly a 2:1 strike rate at United, he can hold up the ball bring others into play, score goals and is cheap!!! HELLO!!! Stick a bid in, I Berbatovs PR agent have spoken.
  2. Define defending... Because most top teams ask the attackers to press the opposition defence when they have possession, causes mistakes and is really the first line of defence.
  3. Drop JT? Despite the fact that every manager (including International) pick him as first choice? Comfortable on the ball, great reader of the game, puts his heart and soul into every game. Yeah... Hell drop him because a few guys on a forum say he has lost it. Is he as good as four years ago? No, but hey neither was Drogba yet you all cream your jeans about the guy. He is solid and reliable and shall probably play fewer games this year (rightly) but he won't be benched. I've though DM was a problem for a while. We have a wealth of CM talent but none are cut out for the role. Meireles is a disaster, Mikel is to slow and predictable, lamps is to old to play every game and it remains I be seen if Essien can get back to his former self (with a preseason behind him - finally). Ramires is to light weight and lacks the ability to play with his back to goal / pick a pass. My thoughts? Flog Meireles, start using Romolu more and lower your expectations, this is a transition period we are not going to be competing for the PL title this year.
  4. Why are RM affected by fatigue? They play in a league where only two teams compete for the title, with strikers scoring ridiculous numbers due to the general quality of the opposition defence. Oh and they were beaten by Bayern because Bayern are a better team. I'd bank on them beating RM. 6-7/10 games.
  5. Because most of them don't attend games, I don't travel away often but ive a season ticket and I've yet to hear anyone complain about him. Funny thing is they moaned like crazy about Drogba.
  6. Jesus so much hate of Fernando. Guy had a goal cleared off the line, a penalty disallowed and provided pretty good movement up front. Service to him was not great, but hey it's the first game of the season so you expect some rustiness. Give him a chance...
  7. Fact we actually enjoyed more possession than RM did is irrelevant as it doesn't fit with his argument. Are we the best team in the world? No Would RM beat us 4-1? No Are RM better than us? Maybe, just about...
  8. Rofl seriously? Do you watch El Clasico?
  9. It's hardly inside knowledge, even if we sign him it's not like this came out of nothing. Just wish people would stop posting extracts from what is clearly a young boys wet dream (ie football agent).... Jesus even the name sucks!!
  10. Please stop with the loser / no life / nerd ( take your pick) 007 twitter douche bag. No self respecting person sits around tweeting about football transfers all day, guy is either a loser or a twelve year old school boy. Damn literally anyone can do what he does. I'm still waiting on the Moses and Azi signing to be completed (two weeks ago).
  11. Okay I see your logic. I believe Sturridge can step up this year but I'm a little concerned about cover. One injury to either him or Torres and we are in a really awkward position. Not sure who else is out there to provide us with squad depth. Even if Hulk were to sign he is not the answer. Defoe anyone?
  12. But do we really need another 24-26 year old striker? What happens to Lukaka development? Betbatov offers us a couple of years of football at a reasonable price plus he is proven in PL. He is technical good, links up well with midfield and is good with his back to goal. Would certainly help in what is going to be a transitional year for us. Plus he would be cheap. Man, im begginibg to convince myself.
  13. Nahh pass on that, he would be a fool to move to city though (I'm not sure he is), would only be signed to make up the HG rule.
  14. Bump this..... Guy is perfect for us, would accept a squad place, links up well with midfield and is comfortable with his back to goal. His age is perfect as it would allow Lukaka to develop and make the step up in a few years. Plus his value is reduced, can't see United wanting 5 strikers on their books. Sign him, Tricky has spoken.
  15. Bolt? Might have to offer some training but boy oh boy can that guy shift.... Just stick the ball to his foot and make him run into the goal!!
  16. I think he understands your point, think you have missed his... valuation is based on availability. We want him and they don't want to sell; the result is a vastly inflated fee. Each and every transfer is unique (see RVP price for example), and can not be compared to past or future purchases. But I tend to agree with you, there is better value to be had in the market, so with that in mind I believe this fee to be excessive.
  17. Please stop with the back up CF argument, this guy is not a striker.
  18. Guy would be cheap, maybe two years left in him and just enough time for Lukaka to develop. It's a squad game, think he would add some depth and a reasonable price.
  19. This would be a logical deal. Guy has five years of football left in him, wouldn't command a stupid transfer fee / wages and would probably accept being our number two striker. My only concern is Lukaka. But since we are Chelsea I see us paying £45 million for a greedy Brazilian wide man who some claim as a an option at CF on £160k a week.
  20. Have to agree, not saying he is rubbish but I'm not sure we need yet another wide player cutting into what's going to be a congested midfield. There is a reason why Lampard and co were so good a few years ago, we had some genuine width. I'd prefer a DM and a back up CF. Hell buy The young lad from Rens, stich up AVB, complete the RB signing and offer £5 mil for Betbatov. Job done!!!
  21. In all the world our only option for attacking for squad depth is a £35 million player? Really? In London alone we could nab Defoe and RVP. Both are proven scoters in the PL and would offer us squad depth, we don't need a superstar wanting to play every game. IMO.
  22. Does he? Football fans are generally fickle, only have to look at the number of times people want us to "sell him he has lost it" comments posted on forums.
