Yeah good luck keeping them happy, big difference between playing for your country and sitting on the bench and playing for a club team and not getting into the squad. Let's see how long Welbeck and Hernadez stuck around at OT. Also a problem with squad sizes, financial fair play blah blah blah. We all want good players, but we also want a stable club not likely if you buy every player who ever becomes available.

Oscar, Moses and Cesar were in the press for ages, as was Sahin to Liverpool or arsenal and RVP to united. Damn I could do that...
-
Good call RDM has got it spot on so far.... I'd love for this guy to deliver this year, having someone who loves the club in charge is so important to me. Be fantastic of we could build a Barcelona / dare I say it Liverpool promote from within philosophy.
-
Very impressive stats, he was outstanding today against United. Very confortable on the ball, great range of passing, combative and most importantly BELGIUM (we love those guys). Definitely one to keep our eyes on, going to keep a close eye on him this year.
-
Has been a wonderful servant / or has been Winston Bogarde in disguise. Let's be honest the guy earns a fortune, but he gets on with the job, never let the team down and (I think) loves the club. Also massively underrated as a player, hell is still prefer him over Boswinga. Think a coaching role would actually suit him, maybe assistant manager at some point. Not sure he would like management, think he is too quiet for that.
-
Can't see a need anymore, also appears RDM is balancing out that attacking four with a player who is willing to defend / track back (Bertrand / Ramirez). Great player but I'm actually thinking I'd prefer it if Moses was our last piece I transfer activity.
-
Oh Fernando, then you go and spoil it all by playing like a top flight striker, oh I love you!!!! Never ceases to amaze me. Guy earns our penalty, scores our second and has by all accounts a magnificent game. And nothing from the haters.... Said it once I'll say it again, he shall score 20 league goals this year. No need for Cavani, or Falco or any of the others names touted around. Solid performance, far more compact but then I guess Newcastle had more of the ball than Wigan / Reading so we had to hold our shape (which suits Mikel). Mats and Hazard have already clicked which is great to see, be interesting to see who takes up that third spot in midfield. Mikel played well, Meireles was Blah, guy just gives the ball away to much to ever be a top flight player. Solid performance, lots more to come. It's good to be a blue!!!

I'm glad he has moved, could be a very good player but he just never got the game time. I know England could certainly do with someone like him.
-
Agreed as a stop gap for a couple I years whilst Lukaka learns the trade. He holds the ball up well and would link with our plethora of attacking midfielders. Despite never being first choice at Utd he has still managed a goal every other game.
-
Bingo, they way he spun away from the guy vs Wigan and his burst into the box for the penalty. If I were a full back I'd hate him. Only option is to double up which leaves others open. Even then I think he is still going to cause problems. Damn, just can't believe how lucky we are to have signed this guy.
-
How to play against him though? Mark tight an he turns the defender and uses his pace, give him space and you allow him to dictate the game and run at you. What a player, reminds me of Robben, only better and minus the injury prowness.
-
Think it's his running style, makes him appear lazy... won't ever happen, but I still feel he has an awful lot to offer.
-
Yeah when you factor in the £8 million a year wages and agents fees it's more like an £80 million outlay, ppl always forget wages for some reason.

Forgetting HG rules, squad harmony and the £110 million total transfer spend this summer. Fuck FFP it obviously doesn't apply to us.
-
No one said he was great, you said he was over hyped, subtle difference, it's upto you to prove your point. Ps - your 19, go figure your posts and ability to communicate defy your tender age.
-
"Cavani is a proven peno taker. which is worth having him on the field alone." Jog on sunshine...
-
Olympics!!! I give up, no point discussing this with someone who would play a player purely because they can take a good penalty. 8 in 12 for Bolton as a CF and 11 in 30 from the wing... seems to me that he knows how to fun the back of the net. Certainly better than Drogbas 5 in 26.
-
Chunky or skinny fries?
-
Yeah 12 games 8 goals for Bolton... fucking bunch him with stats like that for a bottom half of the table team.
-
So we should buy someone and play him because on the odd occasion that we get a pen and Lampard isn't on the pitch he can take it? And did you see that delightful chip during he euros? Or last years stats off 30 games 11 goals for a winger? Clearly trolling.
-
Pfff... lol Sturridge isn't hyped up, nobody is saying he is the next big thing, destined for the stars. He did however have a good start to last season. He is also very fast and capable of beating his marker (whomever they maybe) and is an extremely competent finisher. Most of these observations were based on having watched him for the whole of last year. But hey you carry on don't let me stop your rant.
-
Don't disagree I think we need someone more dynamic in CM ala Essien of 3-4 years ago. I just hate watching Meireles, not sure what his pass completion is but I bet it's poor compared to the rest of he squad. And as a CM you should be recycling possession from defence to attack. He does offer more mobility, but then so does the young spaniard. But for some reason RDM doesn't seem to like him. Yeah Lukaka was pissed.... I don't blame him, he wants to play because he loves the game, very mature for his age. Think he is going to excel at WBA... This another reason why I don't want a third striker, he could step up and make the spot his own next year.
-
100% agree, people want to spend £110 million on new players. No concept of squad harmony, I mean these are real people, not a fantasy football team. I mean why not buy Messi, Neymar, Iniestaband Xavi and be done with it.
-
Maybe, we have Mikel, Lampard, Romolu, Essien and possible Oscar... personally feel Meireles is crud, poor in possession, gives away free kicks just not upto standard. Its actually the one area i believe we could do with improving. Oh and I agree, I'd have thought Lukaka would have played this year, but he became very disillusioned last season, to the point where he was relieved to be leaving the team he supported as a child. He wants to improve and to do so he feels he need first team football(I really respect this kid and his attitude).
