i thought this was a recent post then realised it's a gem from the first page. good post

Instead of having a striker of every type I wish we'd just get 3 strikers of the same ilk. It's better for the system. If Diego's having a shit period of form, just replace him with another aggressive striker with similar build/traits and pray. It's *completely random* to see Pato as an alternative option. I don't see how our current players will be able to play his type of game. They already know Costa's though, so get another bloody Costa type player. We need consistency, and you don't get consistency by forcing entirely unique skillsets into holes that resemble Chelsea players. (I won't accept any rubbish about us needing 'options' considering our XI barely changes; those options never get time to find their feet. What we need is MORE OF THE SAME. More of what we already know works. No more unfamiliar styles unless we're going to commit to them, like we should have when we had both Hazard and Mata.)

Funny? Or sad?

That would be nice, but players from the youth system don't make it here, don't cha know.

me and the board do the same drugs
-
I was just watching a news excerpt and the guy on air was speaking of his job as a nutritionist expert, and how every athlete you can think of is on a cocktail of drugs to perform well. The athletes would go to this guy when they want to come off the drugs, but maintain their physical edge. It got me thinking. Maybe we were good last season, and are dogshit this season. because of...doping ? Perhaps we've gone without it this season. Perhaps Eva was a doping specialist. It would make sense considering how teams can drastically change form in such short periods of time. None of that psychology or laws of the universe spiel; it's the drugs.

He and Mikel are here because of their strength and 'stability' during their good periods. Utility players. Every club needs them; we're just over-depending on ours. Ivanovic should be here, but on the bench.

to be fair we're the greatest club in history so we shouldn't be doing what the others are doing. a genius is an outcast doing their own thing. that's us.
-
evidently our managers do not pick the teams. why hate on Hiddink when he's got the same puppet-masters above?
-
i saw "Fuck off Spurs" in the preview so i came in to say i agree
-
Jose wouldn't have been the one to chase Papy. So, who at the club was?
-
I thought he was sent back ages ago
-
If you feel aggravated by the club, don't ask for a job from the club. Who in history sued their boss then continued working for them with happy faces all round? Is she mad? Yes.
-
if Stones was an Ecuadorian chocolate we wouldn't pay more than 12m for him. we wouldn't be interested in him to begin with though. Stones is so boring. he's so English. so vanilla. it's such a 'buy him because he's English' move. just promote the god Charlie Colkett and be done with it.
-
yes congrats. now do it for more than 3 games a season
-
shoulda just sold Courtois for 30m, kept Cech/some spine/that presence/talent he brings & just bought a good replacement keeper in a couple more years like every other club would do we lost a lot of intangible quality with this move.
-
Leaders are made & can be broken. I'm sure if we buy some leaders they'll fall short of expectations for various reasons. Like a broken record, the hierarchy needs reshuffled prior to the squad.
-
Told the club he wants to leave according to foreign papers tomorrow. Yay?
-
On the other side of the coin, it's amazing that Reus can be injured all season yet still score more than Hazard.
-
i will tackle you

The fucking answer is deploying him central :) :) :) :) :) :) He has everything to be what Zidane was and more but he's limited because of his godly positioning on the wing. It's such an asset that we don't want to lose it but I think the compromise needs to be made. He always shows something magical that he doesn't show on the wing when he plays behind the striker; which is part of the problem. If he was working with a striker that drops back into the #10 position often, like Del Piero would, then he'd have a partnership that allows him to slip'n'slide 1 on 1 with the keeper a lot more often. He needs more fluid players around him, and he needs to be the heart of the team no matter how great he is on the wing.

that was actually more entertaining than most if not all of our games this season
-
remember when i said Coutinho is better than Oscar Rmpr, get in here
-
wouldn't go that far but fair
