  1. Respectfully, I don't understand why JFT96 has to trend on Twitter 5+ times a year. Too many people there living in the past, more interested in 'justice' than grieving, or rebuilding their emotions and becoming happy again. Is today the end of it? Everyone's saying 'today is the day'. Again. (What are they going to do once the 'truth' comes out?)
  2. We suffer from something similar to Stockholm syndrome
  3. going after players following 1 season of good form is always risky, because either it's impossible to live up to the hype the media created around that player the past season (which then affects the player when he isn't getting the praise he expected) or you win the jackpot and the guy can actually carry his form over for another season for a bigger team.
  4. I'd sooner blame Vardy than the ref, and I'll sooner say he let Ranieri down than i'll say the ref screwed Leicester
  5. a lesson that you should never consider yourself invincible
  6. why is it whenever the British press translate foreign footballers & coaches they end up sliding in 'Lads'? Nobody but a few Englishman, and then die-hard fans of English teams, say this. It makes me cringe. It's like they're trying to sit on their backwards chair and connect with the youth.
  7. Lampard, Beckham and Silva in one player. He has the outstanding qualities of all of them. He crosses as well as Becks, could easily get 20 goals a season from midfield like Lampard, and already is showing he's got the vision, creativity and technique of Silva. Lavish praise, but I say that's a realistic assessment. If i wanted to exaggerate i'd compare him to Iniesta instead of Silva but he lacks the wisdom & close control of the former. What other player is capable of the 20+ goals and 20+ assists we're going to see every season? Messi?
  8. we've been saying since he was playing for Genk that he's better than Hazard. he really, really, really is, by far better than Hazard. by far.
  9. the environmental industry are liars. people have been shot for speaking out against the cattle industry
  10. this is a good time to announce i've become vegan, it just makes sense. more than this club. but anyway until today i never thought about all the animals killed just on the side while we're fishing for what is desired on the plate. i never thought about the fact we overfish just to put those fish in the food we feed cows *who aren't even carnivores* what???? & those cows who're responsible for 51% of global warming or some crazy shit. The demand for beef causes hurricanes.
  11. Imagine Terry becoming our manager, and against all odds, guiding us through our best period ever. Imagine us dominating every team we face, with our poster boy at the helm. We'd laugh at stories suggesting he'd leave us for another top team, right? What would be the point? This is what people are doing with Simeone. It literally boggles the mind why he would leave. He can only go down from here really if he leaves.
  12. he has better hair than all of us
  13. He is definitely the biggest talent in his position
  14. It is a bit like this. He's seemed too untouchable, or perhaps too irreplaceable. I say that's the board's fault, though not his
  15. doctor, i need you to look at my kidneys doctor: your kids knees look fine to me
  16. On a scale of 1 to 10 Radja is a strong 7. Why do we enjoy buying players who're almost consistently great, but simply aren't?
  17. You can't trust someone who fakes their hair instead of embracing their baldness so it's understandable to make him head coach yet not manager.
  18. Wikipedia is fucking up my morning. Who knew Costa has a better goal-to-game ratio than he did at Atletico. It does not feel like it.
  19. We've read more "He's shit now" comments about Cavani than good ones since he moved to PSG, and i haven't been watching him, but good ol' Wikipedia says 48 goals in 92 games. Perhaps because Ibra's a freak, more was expected, but with the proof of how he can play for Napoli + the fact he averages a goal every 2 games or less makes me rub my hands at the idea. He's built for this league. And i'd hazard a guess that he'd score even more goals if he was actually motivated by being in a popular league.
  20. If the Leicester goalie is good enough for them, Forster would be more than good enough if we refreshed our back line. His games for Celtic (in the Champions League no less) used to be immense
  21. I suddenly feel like i have a father figure Long live Conte until 2 seasons from now <3
  22. That actually felt like the tamest El Clasico in history. It's crazy how tepid football is becoming, and on another note, it's crazy too how quickly we've moved on from Cruyff. We're living through times of extreme ADD.
  23. There is simply no great attacking player that I know of who's gone the whole season without scoring in the league. You can't question Hazard's technique and talent so it must be his attitude. Only a mentality can change your game this much barring stepping on a land mine.
  24. what the fuck got Pato so excited? scoring a penalty to keep us in the position we're already in? go away
  25. I won't say Jake is at all bad, he's good for his age for sure, but we keep giving (tiny) opportunities to players who really should still be waiting in line. (Jay Dasilva, where is he? How on earth did we have a left back crisis when we have the best young full back in the country being hidden under the stairs like Harry Potter?)
