But it becomes an outrage when it sinks in that Ivanovic, who is half the player, got offered a new contract. How does that add up. How is there not basic outrage at the fact we're happy to let our best defender walk? What top club does that? Milan, who are now bang average. We are run like Milan. :|
-
We've done the complaining, so now let's act like elite supporters of an elite club and ensure he gets his contract. If you work with any CPO members or anything like that, push this forward forward forward. I'm too passive to make change but i know you're all capable.
-
It should be known by now that every elite manager from the Jose/Pep era is washed out now and overrated. None of them bring what's going to be needed for the next 5-10 years, and none of them seem to lay the foundations for anything anywhere they go. This is a journeyman move from them, and at most they'll get one title or 2, just like us. Fear the new faces, not the old ones.

the board betting on a good player becoming bad like they bet on bad strikers becoming good
-
The board are obviously clueless about the appeal both Mourinho & Terry have alone. Both are people who can just pick up the phone and convince the biggest figures in world football to join the club. I'm not so sure Oscar or Conte/Guus/some bloke from Chile have the same draw. It's either that or the draw never existed, but i don't believe that. This club is so shit at valuing intangible qualities.

At the end of the day, you'd be shunned away from all CFC pubs, shunned away from all Chelsea players who have played in our team with Terry, if you aren't torn by this. Imagine wearing a Barcelona kit, walking into the local pub and proclaiming you don't care about Xavi or Puyol leaving. Imagine walking into a Rome pub full of Roma fans, yourself included, to then share how fine you are with Totti's contract not being renewed. Imagine the day Del Piero left Juve, do you think any supporters were passive about the old geezer who's seen better days leaving? Now let's take a great player who's old. Di Natate. If Udinese decide to stop offering him contracts, i don't know what will happen, the stadium might be torn down. Every club's supporters have turned around saying "wait, what?" after letting Pirlo leave. Tis nonsensical.

He lead by example on the field and that was evident to all

that's a crazy place to put a heart
-
le heart both the one in my body and the one on the field will be missing
-
who at our club deals with player contracts anyway?
-
he's obviously the mole. he's obviously been a sociopath from the start, and probably grew up supporting Arsenal. he slipped on purpose. he forgot to wash his mouth on purpose. he broke our hearts on purpose. terry you genius
-
You just have to scratch your head over and over again at the fact that we don't constantly have Azpi & Baba bombing forward
-
If Oscar read the posts aimed at him over the past couple months he'd want to set 90% of us on fire; or he'd have such a pitiful look on his face that he wouldn't even care for our existence. Let us not bum lick now. We're so fickle. We're only nice towards our players when they do good for us. Selfish innit.

we should swoop in for Rhodes
-
If we have to sell Hazard to make a manager happy, so that their one-dimensional tactics can work with us, then that manager is not good enough to manage the best players. That'd be silly but anyway, if we got Conte, hopefully he would have Hazard play as a #10 in a 3-4-1-2.

Nobody is talking about Michael getting Jose sacked, at least not me, not once. My issue and i think everyone's issue since around 2012, is he remains, despite high profile, quality people leaving, while bringing nothing comparable to the table when weighed against those who came and went. He's shown nothing in regards to how he deserves his position, and it is his position that is integral in recruiting players - too many of which are shit, and against the managers wishes. Who else is there to blame? Not for Mourinho's sacking, but for the appalling recruitment policy.
-
I never thought he'd make it here just because we're Chelsea, but i've also always thought that even if we did sell him, he's one of those players that we'll still get to enjoy, like Messi or Suarez or whoever. It'd be criminal to mess this one up. It doesn't matter if he gets in our team or not, but for football it matters whether Charly gets his chances on the main stage. We don't have many elegant #10's left. Once Iniesta's gone, this guy should be #1.
-
If you as a youth player really, really want to play for us, you'll do everything in your power to bump into Abramovich as often as you can, and you will learn how to make him happy. I'm not joking, that's how it must be done, and in fact that's almost how it used to be done, with players literally begging their managers for a debut. It's not enough to just play great and expect reward. Make yourself known off the pitch. No musician or actor makes it to the big leagues without connections. Why would the biggest sport be different? (though obviously there's around 3 or 4 of our youthies who do deserve to be playing for us based on their performances.)

mmm nice goal. Atletico 1-0 away to Barcelona, biggest game of the season so far IMO.
-
I love signing players so they can get fit; our philosophy is beautiful. We should replace our lion with Mother Theresa.
-
Obviously the root is Roman but if I have to pick between two disabilities to live with I pick him

I employ a friend of mine simply because he needs the social and financial aspect from it. He brings zilch to the company but you don't let your friends rot, or you lose them. That friend will usually outlast employees simply because of the politics, despite not adding quality to the company. Michael is that friend.
-
You can argue that he's not shown a reason to be sacked, but what I'd then say is, what did he show in the first place to get hired?
-
if you joined this forum only this season, you might be given a pass for thinking this. if you've been here longer you know that's a lie.
