Tbh, most of our fans do tend to overate every single player we're linked to or buy. All they need is flashy dribbling skills, good potential on Football Manager, some pace and 5 star skills on Fifa and a lot of you will drool all over them. (This isn't a personal attack on anyone. I'm just pointing out what I've noted.) The people on here saying "DON'T JUDGE HAZARD JUST FROM PRE-SEASON" are the same people claiming he's a future Ballon D'or winner and perhaps even future Messiah when he does something good in pre-season. The majority of you will side against Kojo on this, but just because you're in the majority doesn't mean you're correct. (Example - The MAJORITY of the FA have decided that John Terry should be charged. Does that mean they're correct?) To finally touch on Ligue 1 for a moment - it IS a much inferior league - but an underrated one too. It has brilliant football at times, and they've had some of the greats (Drogba, Zidane, Cantona) etc. play in the league to then leave Ligue 1 and go onto bigger and better things, but as far as TV, promotion, money, stability etc. goes, it really is a poorly structured league.

I hope his performance so far puts to bed that awful argument that "Oscar is only Brazil's #10 because Ganso got injured a while ago and there are no better options now".

IMO, regarding Mikel - Last season he played great under RDM... great for Mikel that is. Compared to any of the other defensive midfielders in the league who actually do their job right, he's meh in my opinion. He's just so damn lazy. He can be standing right next to the opposition's player and just let him run right past. (VERY evident in the pre-season game vs. PSG.) That's the difference when it comes to Tiote - Regardless whether he wins as many interceptions as Mikel or not, or whether he fouls too much, you can always feel safe that once that ball needs chasing down, Tiote will chase after it like his life depends on it (although admittedly he does make some awfully stupid tackles). I'm positive that Tiote has more potential than Mikel. (For anyone who brings up his age, I personally don't take age into account when it comes to potential or players in any form. I genuinely believe it is indeed just a number.)

No one here is judging anyone on 45 minutes. We're simply using this 45 minutes as the final decider after seeing hundreds of failed minutes of his. Also, you mention "out of position". You're correct. He likes to play where Hazard + Mata like to play. Will he get a game ahead of them? You then mention Malouda. If you're suggesting that Kakuta could take Malouda's role, wouldn't he be out of position... again?
