I was thinking something along the lines of - Courtois Lahm, Cahill, Luiz, Bertrand Schweinsteiger, Mikel Ronaldo, Mata, Messi Neymar I'm sure we could get most of them on a free by around 2026, assuming they're still playing, or for just a few £million. I'll just sum it all up quickly - 1: Hazard and Mata aren't wingers. They are both playmakers, one of which will be deployed on the wing position - but that does not make him a winger. 2: To be nervous about speaking to someone 1on1 means I should use your own quote on you - "Would you stop writing for a minute?". I can't debate or conversate with someone who seems 'scared' or 'nervous' to take things away from a public audience.

Hence me also stating in that same quote that I'm aware they play different positions, and making it clear that I'm comparing the level of how good they are to their own positions, and not the same individual attributes or qualities.

Secondly, I assume you haven't watched Porto this season to even think about including Fernando in your mini list there. He has been outstanding. Fernando is easily the best defensive midfielder in the league. Cardozo is astonishingly prolific, almost like, but not quite as good as, Falcao. Aimar is magic. Gaitan shouldn't be in the list. Patricio is one of the best players in the league, and easily and by far the best goalkeeper. Better than most of the Premier League 'keepers. Capel has single handedly won games for Sporting all season, including some magic efforts in the Europa League. Best actual WINGER in the league. Gomes is one of the greatest players to ever play in the league. Lima has easily been on Hulk's level this past season. Have you seen how many goals he scored?

Ramires has been a breakout player this season (and on the right wing, too), so I see no reason why he should be dropped or put in a less influential deep role. I absolutely love watching him tear defenders a new bumhole on that right side. He's also been scoring quite a bit, including that goal vs. Barcelona.

Yep. Seen him for around 3 or 4 years I believe as I follow Sporting Braga. Those fans lie. There are at least 10 players in the league who are equal or better than him.

The point of us buying a WINGER though is so that TORRES scores. If we buy another player who'd rather shoot and pass/cross (ala Sturridge), he won't start scoring again, and then more and more people will complain about not having a 'true' winger.

Ah, Mata can barely get a game for Spain these days. Sturridge isn't in the England squad. David Luiz is rarely picked for Brazil anymore (his injury aside). Ramires can't get a game for Brazil. Borini 'wasn't good enough' - sure is good enough for Roma and the senior Italy squad. (and now many want him back.) Just because a player can't show off his goods doesn't mean he's not good enough. That's just stupid to imply. Cristiano Ronaldo only had TWENTY FIVE league appearances for Sporting. If Manchester United had that stupid mentality I keep seeing all over this forum (thinking a player isn't good enough based on amount of appearances or what they haven't achieved in their current team), they wouldn't have had one of the greatest ever players.

Oh by the way - Hulk league appearances (whole career) - 202 appearances, mainly made up of Porto, Tokyo Verdy and Consadole Sapporo. Adam Johnson league appearances (whole career) - 186 appearances, mainly made up of current champions Manchester City and Middlesbrough. Johnson is 1 year younger and English. He's also less than half the price. It's simple.

Not proven!? He has 73 Premier League appearances for the current PL champions Manchester City and 11 league goals for them, where'as Hulk has only just over 20 more appearances than him in a FAR inferior league.

Just because someone isn't already in a top team demanding a ridiculous fee means they're a second-rate player. Anyone with just 1 eye can see that Jarvis has consistently been one of the best wingers in the UK these past few seasons. Also - Was Cristiano Ronaldo 2nd-rate when he was at Sporting? He didn't play for a big club, and I doubt you knew of him back then. Doesn't mean you just ignore that player and then go buy an inferior, more expensive one, just because they're talked about more. Hulk isn't even "great". He's good at best. The only reason he got those assists with Falcao is because, simply, Falcao is one of the best strikers in the world. Put Hulk and Torres in the same time, and I guarantee that Hulk won't get more than 5 Torres assists.
