  1. Bos was a boss () against Barca though.
  2. He also has a real talent for the chip. Pulled off a pretty good chip against Carlo at Wembley as well.
  3. For some reason I thought he wasn't registered even though I'm pretty sure he played for us recently. Now, there's a dilemma- Paulo or Bos for Munich?
  4. He's still by far the best captain, best defender and most reliable player to have ever played for this football club. The reliable part may not be true, perhaps zolayes or one of the older fans will correct me. But for me, he is probably the best player to have ever pulled on the Blue shirt. And the media has 0 influence on him, one of John's great strengths is his ability to compartmentalize his life. You rarely see personal slumps in form because of personal affairs from him.
  5. That's nice of him. Shame about his sister though, was she blind from birth?
  6. Bloody hell, I'm over my reps already. Sorry Strike, TX and FZ.
  7. It could also personify the resurgence of the team under Di Matteo.
  8. What if we go a goal up and need to close out the game and he's on the pitch? Anyway, even going forward in his recent weeks he's a shadow of the player he was at the start of the year. Besides, we've got Torres on the bench to score goals, if we line up the way I think we will.
  9. Not necessarily. We could go like this: Essien-Mikel-Malouda Lampard-Mata Drogba It's up to you to decide if Kalou is better than Essien and Malouda.
  10. No, Torres should sit on the bench until Drogba's tired. Sturridge is in awful form and should not have the pressure of trying to find his form in such a huge game. We may have suspension problems but theirs are far worse than ours.
  11. Who else do they have then? Breno? Contento? Boateng? In any case Drogba shall roger them well and proper.
  12. That has nothing to do with my post, why bring it up? And its not bullshit. I bet my soul, and my testicles that Mario Gomez will have an utter, utter, utter shocker in the final. He just doesn't turn up when needed to, remember South Africa? That he scored in the first leg is immaterial, I have never been so convinced of anything in football. Now the only problem we have is keeping Drogba fresh. I'd say keep him for the Liverpool games and Newcastle, and let Torres play the rest of the time. Those that have been suspended should play every single game that we have left, at the expense of perhaps Lampard and Mata to keep them fresh as well.
  13. No way should Daniel Andre Sturridge be even included in the matchday squad, Didier will bully the fuck out of that enormous boat Daniel van Buyten. They've lost Badstuber, their central defence will be wank and will lack both pace and power. Torres is more than quick enough as well if he's going to be up against van Buyten. Unless they do a Barcelona 2009 and defy those odds we've got a 3-0 win on our hands. The only defensive problem we have is Bosingwa v Robben, Gomez is rubbish and won't pose a threat at all for Cahill and Luiz, but we can get away with that by hoping Robben and Ribery still want to kill each other. Gomez is probably the most overrated striker in the world, he's happy to knock in a dozen goals against Alemannia Aachen or whatever, then do absolutely bugger all on the big occasions. He's also incredibly slow for such a prolific striker. I can genuinely see us keeping a clean sheet.
  14. That's fucked, Ivanovic should be playing. I think the rules should be changed, players shouldn't miss out on the final for showing dissent, especially when its as mild as kicking the spot and not swearing at the ref or whatever. Suspensions in this case should be for purely footballing reasons.
  15. Actually, I'm going to flip on my earlier position that he could lose his physical attributes quickly due to injury/age. They don't call him the Blue Kenyan for nothing, he may lose his outstanding acceleration and pace but I don't think he'll ever lose the ability to cover 12km a game until he's about 40.
  16. Ramires' little jig after that goal was delightful.
  17. Relief. Just so relieved that we wouldn't be Iniesta'd again. And then tears of happiness
  18. My commiserations, Jose. Going out on penalties is just so harsh, especially for a man who has been denied so many times on penalties. Better luck next year. One thing we have not considered is that if the final goes to penalties, we are well and truly fucked. Germans don't miss penalties. Also, did anyone from Bayern get booked?
  19. Get rid of Gourlay, ASAP. Send him to Siberia to work in your evil volcano mountain lair, Roman.
  20. He'll enter our folklore now, even if he never scores another goal in his career.
