Champions League Final 2012 - Chelsea 1 (4)-(3) 1 Bayern Munich

I think so, as well the stars have aligned for us. Some say we've been lucky this year, but some credit must go to our defence for forcing the opposition to miscue their shots just slightly enough for the post/Cech to bail us out. This contrasts with Moscow when I was thinking more along the lines of the stars being aligned for United. -
Why, warnie?! I'm already incredibly superstitious about football, you've just made it worse
-
Its really easy to pick up actually. English is quite similar to German, in fact it its classified as a Germanic language, and unlike French/Italian/Spanish there's rarely any difficult to pronounce accent characters.

It's nearly a month away, I think Luiz and Cahill will be fine. If we are at full strength it will most likely be something like this: There are a few things that can be different though. Essien may not play at all, so it would be Kalou-Mata-Sturridge and Lampard partnering Mikel; or the same thing except with Malouda instead of Essien. Also, Paulo Ferreira may play instead of Bosingwa. -
I heard it looked like Zidane's volley in 2002
-
The money offered was probably too hard to refuse. We recouped nearly all we spent on him.

You are to Australia what Queensland is to New South Wales Just kidding, we all like our cousins from across the 'Dutch'

Hi! I took German for 4 years in high school, what do you think of this: Tag! Ich weiss Deutsch, aber nicht sehr gut. Ich gelernt Deutsch in der Realschule.

How good is Boateng? Kroos and Schweinsteiger are absolute class, Tymoschuk was pretty good when he was younger as well. I think Bayern will comfortably control the midfield because we're missing two of our best harassers in Meireles and Ramires, Mikel doesn't quite cut it as that style of midfielder. -
That nearly, very nearly, made it my third time. I cried after Australia beat Uruguay on penalties in 2005 to seal qualification, and after our 8-0 win over Wigan.
-
I dunno. I kinda preferred the defiant feeling that Ramires' goal gave me, a feeling of fuck the odds, we are Chelsea Football Club and we'll never go down without a fight. That it came in probably our darkest period of the match, where most of us if not all were thinking we'd be lucky to keep the scoreline respectable also made it more powerful for me. But, each to his own. Torres goal was brilliant as well
-
I'm surprised so many of you found the Torres goal to be more emotionally powerful than Rambo's. I nearly broke the light in my living room after that Whereas the Torres goal just gave me so much relief, a kinda "YESSS, THANK FUCK WE'RE THROUGH" feeling rather than "HAVE SOME OF THAT YOU BASTARDS" which is what Rambo's did to me.

We'll see who's laughing come Origin time. I don't care about rugby and I probably prefer QLD to NSW in Origin anyway More seriously, Queensland really is awesome. I was on holiday in Cairns once, lovely place.
-
I think I'll go with Ramires, Drogba's goal was brilliant and rolled back the years, but to have the bollocks to try something like that in those circumstances, and then to celebrate so nonchalantly as if to say "What's the big deal? I do that all the time" was brilliant.

There's a dilemma for me. Drogba can outmuscle anybody in the world, so second rate defenders should be no problem, but van Buyten has all the speed and agility of an oil tanker, so perhaps a smaller, more agile player could really wreak havoc? At any rate I think we are favourites going into this one. Their three big attacking players are suspect, as I've said before, Scarface and Robben absolutely hate each other with a passion so consuming that it hopefully disturbs their ability, and Gomez only delivers on the big occasion rarely. Cahill and Luiz are in fantastic form, and Cech recently has been playing well enough for him to join Neuer at the top of the goalkeeper's list. Cole can shut down Scarface or Robben, the problem will be right back. We'll probably lose the midfield battle and concede 55-60% possession, but I'm still confident that their defensive losses will prove decisive in the tie and Drogba shall go out on a high. -
Also the most skillful
-
No, he has to go somewhere where he's not the big fish otherwise he'll never learn that the world doesn't revolve around him. A few more years in a team where he is the best player and thus accommodated for whatever he wants, would make his attitude even worse.

Minutes silence at semi final at Wembley

Cheers and I don't think much more than 100 of the ~40,000 Chelsea fans were involved in it. -
The kid is fucked in the head, as happens 99 times out of 100 with these young superstars. I think he's even worse than Balotelli, who in his defence is at least a reasonably nice bloke off the pitch if a bit crazy. Neymar is a manager sacking, training skipping, diving primadonna who needs not just one but several kicks right up his arse to fix his attitude. It's a shame because I think he could have been a great player if every footballing authority in Brazil weren't on his dick, imo its a bit too late for this to be fixed and he will go down the Robinho route of being a flop relative to the expectations that are heaped on him at this point.

A few idiots cast a poor image over the rest of us. What 2 or 3 dozen drunk idiots chant is of supreme indifference to me, unless its trying to incite racial hatred. Typical of Liverpool fans making a storm in a teacup over it, they have done much worse en masse rather than just a very small minority. And at least we apologised for it as a club, have Liverpool issued statements on the repeated Munich chants at Old Trafford? Anyway, as an Everton lad I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed at all if we gave them a good twatting at Wembley. -
Tough choice. Between Ramires and Drogba at Wembley for mine.
-
We don't want him for a reason. I can't see John Terry et al being delighted when the high line is re-explained to them. His ideology does not match our current crop of players, and he'll inevitably be AVB'd out of the club, with a huge payout. No thanks, he can stay in Spain or perhaps replace Sir Alex Ferguson.

Y u do dis If Salomon Kalou reads this forum he will be very disappointed if he thinks I wrote that post about JT not him

Fair enough. You shall receive a rep for that soon.

Surely thats a good thing for them?
