  1. The speculation and suspense is too much. I just want it over and done with, now. There's still 9 days for his contract to expire. The fates, just to destroy my nerves, will reveal he is getting a new contract late at night on the 31st of May.
  2. If they pay over 3 million for him (what his speculated annual wages are), which anyone surely will, we will be better off keeping him for a year and then selling him rather than letting him walk away.
  3. Nah. He's leaving us for first team football, he'll be behind Benzema and possibly Higuain at Real Madrid. Sorry to go off topic, but if he doesn't get 'Legend' status on FM13 I'll riot.
  4. Just watched a couple of youtube tributes again. I'm crying harder than I was last night Please Didier, return one day, even if just to cut the grass. Also, nice interview with Albert Drogba, Didier's dad: http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2012/05/23/3121396/albert-drogba-the-time-was-ripe-for-my-son-to-leave-chelsea
  5. At Arsenal: You can stick your 13 leagues up your arse, up your arse You can stick your 13 leagues up your arse, up your arse You can stick your 13 leagues up your arse, up your arse (need a good, rhyming line about being the first London team to win the CL).
  6. The Abramovich Dynasty Similar to the Moratti family at Inter, I think it will happen. But the problem is, his children must be just as astute in business and have that same hunger to continue amassing wealth. Roman's only about 45, right? Still at least 25-30 years from retiring from his role as owner.
  7. Perhaps, but they're still 'common' clothing. It's not that long ago that he was refused entry to an away executive box because he refused to change out of jeans.
  8. Transfers are immaterial, we operate with a Director of Football. All he'll do is tell Emenalo which positions he wants the strengthened and our resident Nigerian witch doctor (no offence intended, I meant it in an endearing manner) will do the rest.
  9. What does Arkady mean? Anyway, Roman is a colossus. Coolest billionaire on the planet, look at him, he doesn't care at all, he turned up in a cheap cardigan and jeans. He's still the street orphan that he was back in the 80s. Respect to the Big Boss, as Drogba calls him. Edit: Ah fuck, I'm an idiot, Arkady is his son's name
  10. Nike are absolutely rubbish. Also, in that picture, Torres looks like something out of a book that Spike Spiegel might read.
  11. Fair point but Kalou's not on that much comparatively. 60,000 a week is more or less average for a player who has a full trophy cabinet to his name. Someone like Galatasaray would pay handsomely.
  12. If he goes to the MLS, perhaps we can do what AC Milan did with David Beckham and get him on loan for those cup finals and important last 3-4 months of the season. One can always hope, I suppose. I hope he does link up with the club again one day, in any capacity. Even as a part time scout. Didier
  13. What I will miss most is that unshakable self confidence and willpower he had. Who else would play with a broken arm or malaria?
  14. It's 4 am in Australia and the sadness is keeping me awake
  15. Lukaku, after about 3-4 years can take it.
  16. Many a club are interested in him if current speculation is to be believed. If all else fails he can be dressed up as a CL winner and sold to a Turkish club for around 6-7 million.
  17. Devastated, for obvious reasons. It could get a lot worse though. I will probably have a meltdown if Kalou is let off on a free, as well.
  18. I think we have to give him 2 or 3 years. That way if he isn't required next summer or the summer after we can get some money for him rather than watch him walk away for free. More importantly, 2-3 years gives me time to head over to London to watch him live at the Bridge.
  19. As I said earlier, he deserves more than a statue. He deserves a monument, a stand of the new Battersea stadium to be named after him. I really do hope he comes back one day as a coach or even as manager.
  20. Agreed, it was one of those penalties that could just have easily hit row Z. Has anyone got a .gif of the penalty?
