  1. To be fair, the Community Shield isn't held in high regard. The way teams treat it, its just a big name friendly. One last chance to see how your pre season turned out.
  2. He's captain and now that Drogba is gone he's by far the biggest leader on the pitch. We usually defended far better when we had him in the team; I'd say 2 more seasons before going down the Carragher route.
  3. Lucky, shit, undeserving. Throw any word in the English language or any other language at us, the records and the trophy itself still read: 2012 CHAMPIONS- CHELSEA FC. Have some of that. Have it. I'll say it again, have it Yids, have it Barcelona, have it Mancs, have it Scousers, and finally, have it, to the club that pretends to be the biggest London club but hasn't won so much as a Charity Shield in 7 years.
  4. I see Kez will never agree with me On the plus side, it's Friday morning and not one whisper on the club website. All those articles didn't feature a single quote either. I am still mindlessly hoping he'll be retained.
  5. He is a douche for lying about something this serious. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and think he's serious.
  6. The value of Roman's cardigan is immaterial, its just that he's cool enough to pull off something like that. Many billionaires like to flaunt their wealth through clothing in particular, Roman seems to prefer yachts, cars, cruise missiles, private armies and football clubs I think it exposes his lower class, almost yobbo, upbringing. You wouldn't see people who inherited their wealth and lived in the upper classes all their lives dare let themselves be seen in public without some kind of awesome suit. Though it may be expensive it doesn't look it, and based off the show Frasier rich people care much about looking rich rather than wearing expensive clothes that look rather lower class.
  7. Sloth, apologies if this is too personal, but what exactly transpired with your parents for you to have to leave the house? I'm sure they'll take you back, they're parents after all. An old friend of mine (no longer my friend) was thrown out of his house. He got into a fight with his dad and broke his nose, and he has a criminal record and a restraining order from his family now. Last I heard, he's a drug dealer who's part of a gang that runs a Sydney nightclub. It was a real shame as he was an insanely smart kid, he could have made it big in the world but he made a mistake and now he's completely off the rails. I don't want to sound like I'm judging you or anything but I do think unless there were extraordinary circumstances involved (like with my former friend) you would be better off at home.
  8. Oh shit Sloth, that's really, really sad to hear. I sincerely hope you can get your life back on track. If there's anything you need, feel free to ask though I'm not sure I can be of much help. Good luck, and we hope to see you again soon. It really puts some perspective into life. Here I am worrying about Kalou and now that Sloth is in trouble I couldn't care less about football.
  9. We'll win however we like, Yids, Scousers, Mancs and Gooners can go suck one, because we won, you didn't, so fuck off.
  10. Oh yes. He is basically a football version of me, little talent and all work rate. Nothing on the official site about him being let go, so I assume they either have included him in the retained players list or are holding last ditch negotiations.
  11. For 6 seasons he has been an excellent servant. Always worked hard for the club on the pitch, regardless of how he was treated by the fans and the succession of managers. 60 goals, 40 assists, 256 games. And he's scored so many crucial goals for us: 3rd goal in a 3-3 draw with Tottenham (11/3/2007) Only goal in a 1-0 win against Watford (31/3/2007) Only goal in a 1-0 win against Bolton (7/10/2007) 2nd goal in a 2-1 win against Newcastle (29/12/2007) Only goal in a 1-1 draw against Man United (21/9/2008) Only goal in a 1-1 draw against Southend (3/1/2008) Both goals in a 2-0 win against Middlesbrough (28/1/2009) Only goal in a 1-0 win against West Ham (25/4/2009) Only goal in a 1-0 win against QPR (23/9/2009) First 2 goals in a 4-0 win against Atletico Madrid (21/10/2009) Only goal in a 1-2 loss against Inter Milan (24/2/2010) First 2 goals and the 4th goal against Stoke in a 7-0 win (25/4/2010) Only goal in a 1-1 draw against Newcastle (28/11/2010) 2nd goal in a 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur (30/4/2010) First goal in a 2-1 win against Everton (26/10/2011) Only goal in a 1-0 win against Benfica (27/3/2012) You will be missed
  12. Well, it's over. I've given up hope. The retained players list is due in today and there's been no word of a new contract so he won't be on that list, ergo he will have to be let go . Farewell, Salomon, I don't care if you sign for Liverpool, you'll always be my favourite
  13. Does the ' ' not show to you that I was joking? I shall be more specific that I am joking in future, then.
  14. I do not like this possessiveness over Kalou. He is meant to be shared as an idol/role model. Mikel is the only person who'll ever truly own him anyway.
  15. Urgh It seems Di Matteo does not want a one year deal, which leaves us between a rock and a hard place.
  16. http://www.goal.com/...ure-in-the-next Please, be true It is the hope that kills you.
  17. Cap the rep giver to the rescue Or not
  18. For the record, Pr22, another poster, is also a Kalou fan. There's 3 of us out of nearly 6000
  19. With all this contract talk, a very important one is Mikel. His expires next year.
  20. Emenalo isn't an idiot though, his signings (like Cahill, Marin and de Bruyne) have been astute and cheap. I don't think he would lend himself to this madness as easily as Gourlay or Buck.
