Your point is valid, but to be fair, that shouldn't affect us until 2013/14, which is the earliest I see us genuinely challenging for the title. By that time shit could have gone wrong for them. Mancini is a bit of a mug, I can't see him upkeeping success unless he has it given to him on a platter by virtue of no title rivals at all, like his time at Inter.

City could still bottle it. And one Premiership doesn't mean they're going to go crazier with their spending, they'll want more trophies in the bag before that happens, I think. Worth noting that if they win it, it'll only be their 2nd trophy since 2008. In our first 4 years under Roman we won everything under the sun except the CL, and we still didn't go onto dominate world football, though I reckon we could have if we didn't sack Jose.

Congratulations to City, now please do us a favour and smash Newcastle!

Is it Time to Start Drogba and Torres Together?

It's been tried and its failed. Why mess with a proven formula in the 4-2-3-1? -
Why don't you rep me then :(/:Goober:

I feel the same way about the stadium. Must visit before death.
-
Though I generally prefer United to the other 'big' clubs in England, I'm hoping for a City win. If they win tonight they get a huge confident boost and hopefully smash 6 past Newcastle.
-
Ollie, why fix something that isn't broken? 4-2-3-1 again, thank you.

35 million? Fuck off. Porto have extorted enough cash from us since 2004. Time for them to find a new bank to rob.
-
For what its worth, Transfermarkt had him down at 26.8 million as of January of this year. Edit: Damn you Kiaretta! Some of it makes sense though, he still has an earth shaking reputation, and his purchase would certainly provide an increased commercial interest, such as sponsorship, kit sales, etc. It's still mind boggling that he's rated at > 20 million though.

That Gervinho was a bit fucking quick at Lille. Not sure if he's shown it this season though.

HAHAHAHAHAHHA I cannot believe any human being would be stupid enough to say this: Taken from RAWKs FA Cup final thread. Edit: Apparently it's not clear. Well, I follow Spike's suggestion and present it like so- Superstitious Scum Fan: This will be my 8th FA Cup final, seen us win 5 and lose 2. Idiotic Scum Fan: What happened in the other one, unless one was a draw and went to a replay? Quote from: Mad Max on Yesterday at 07:47:40 PM Will leave the quote link up, though.

Because we haven't got a prayer of signing him.

Hahaha, I thought that that scenario would anger the Scousers to the point of the highest possible hilarity for the rest of the world. Drogba diving with no Liverpool player within 5 yards of him to win 2 penalties for the match was something I forgot to put in there. Just imagine what RAWK would look like after a game like that
-
Right, this would be brilliant: It is the 123rd minute, there was only 1 minute of stoppage time added on at the end of extra time. The scores are locked at 2-2. The linesman makes a mistake and awards us a throw in that was clearly Liverpool's. It's thrown in by Ivanovic illegally to Drogba, who elbows Carragher in the face as he challenges for the ball. Drogba then loses the ball, and Terry lunges in from behind, and is miles away from getting the ball, as Suarez gets clattered by Terry, the ball slips out from under his feet to Kalou, who handles the ball in an effort to control it. As half of Wembley rages for a foul, Kalou dribbles to the byline, takes the ball over the line and then knocks it back to Lampard, who crosses it in for Torres who is 5 yards offside, and scores a spectacular bicycle kick just as the final whistle is blown. Torres then runs over to the Liverpool fans, takes off his shirt and reveals an undershirt that says "Sorry you had to give up a month's worth of welfare benefits to see this happen", Di Matteo channel's Jose Mourinho and first sprints down the touchline then shushes the now violently raging Scousers, and finally, a Chelsea plastic flag is handed out to every single Liverpool player, coach and representative present. Luis Suarez is sent off post-match, and as he exits the field, he is hit by a stray stick of celery, which somehow possesses the mass to knock out his teeth.

It's not his technique. It's just that he doesn't seem to care anymore. He doesn't have the passion or energy or drive anymore.
-
We'll pull through, they'll play like they did under Carlo and we'll win 6-0

Champions League Final 2012 - Chelsea 1 (4)-(3) 1 Bayern Munich

Torres over Kalou would be a disaster as we'll have Bosingwa playing at right back. Torres for Malouda on the left wing may be a reasonable shout. -
Would it be considered a good season if...

Nothing will take away the incredible performances we've put in so far, win or lose. Valencia, Napoli, Barcelona twice- we have been brilliant at times. -
I really empathise for the Napoli fans, there are 4 clubs currently sitting on 55 points, Napoli is ahead of the lot on goal difference though. Nailbiting for them, I'm sure.
-
Nah, we'll want to keep Torres fresh to bring him on for Drogba. Thing is though, as he showed in Barcelona, Torres isn't the best at defending.
-
I'll assume F1 is like cycling, in which case the Chelsea car would sit behind the Barcelona car for nearly the entire race and then make a cheeky late attack with about 10 metres left to go to win it. Barcelona would pull an Andy Schleck and keep nervously twisting it's neck for a non-existent threat.
-
I think it's over for him. It's so sad to see him in his current state, like watching an old lion hunt.
-
Why not the usual 4-2-3-1? So the midfield/attacking midfield looks a bit like this: Mikel-Lampard Kalou-Mata-Malouda Doesn't look half bad, except we won't be the most threatening on the wing with Florent "I shoot every time I get the ball" Malouda.
