I like these threads. Good job guys. Now I wonder where is the lines women appreciation thread? I think her name is misty may? She is my favorite official in the world right now. Almost always spot on with her calls. And giving she is a women players won't talk shit in her face. :-) Anyways a new face to our board, which is great. Emanolo has been doing great so maybe she is a breath of fresh air to the board.

Not a watcher but I have a feeling he will be a kuyt. I think torres will be happy to have him around.....
-
Well, Isco worked with Pellegrini. So there is more likely chance he will follow him then go somewhere else. And giving the fact that Malaga will likely sell to raise cash, I say there is a higher chance he will go there.

Good, let the games begin! And in the end, Mourinho will win the Iron throne:
-
Suarez came from the dutch league. Benteke came from the Belgian League. Courtois came from the Belegian League. If the guy is good, he is good.
-
Well Mourinho talked about bringing back Kalas from Vitesse. And that guy has been a beast for that team.
-
Amazing if true. Doing great business the club each year. Getting better and better.
-
That would be so awesome!

It does not matter weather you rather have. It's what we have, and what is realistic. Chelsea will not spend 50 mill on another striker when we already got 4 options. Let me repeat that again, 4 options!!!!! We first have to get rid of before buying. And If I remember correctly, Mourinho said he was going to speak to Torres to see if it was best for him to stay. And then use the same quote he used for Kaka, in "help to get the best out of him" But with Lukaku coming back, Ba who can be better then Torres and the extra option in Schurrle, I say we are stack for the striker department.
-
We got 3 strikers and we just added Schurrle who can also play a striker. How you guys can expect more before moving someone out is beyond me.

Edinson Cavani is determined to see through a move to Real Madrid http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8776186/Edinson-Cavani-is-determined-to-see-through-a-move-to-Real-Madrid Expected from my part. We will have only 3 strikers in Ba, Torres and Lukaku. Which is fine by me, as long as we give more chances to Ba and Lukaku we should be good.

I was not as active back then (more like a guest), but I remember the petty fights you had with Sloth, Justin and who know else. Golden! Anyways, agreed with one poster. It is of end season boring crap and people just go bunkers.

Yeah but the key here for Chelsea is a younger model, for potential talent in developing them. In that department AVB is miles ahead. It is clear that he fell out with the club players, but those where the older ones. He made a mistake, but so did Mourinho at Madrid! AVB will learn from his mistake as well Mourinho. Now I don't doubt Mourinho is a top coach, but his record is limited in this..... But you can also make the case that Mourinho being a top coach, he merits such a challenge. Just that if you ask me who would be the ideal manager for a project long term with attractive football and bringing youngster right now? I will say AVB.
-
Yes, but if you are someone like Crouch then you need to.
-
Well I remember when AVB was here, there where quite a few players we wanted to get. I remember Azpilicueta came from that list. Maybe Oscar as well. But yes it's true, AVB is a really great coach. For me the potential of AVB is much bigger then Mourinho. I still can't believe we let him go.
-
Damn, must be great being a footballer. When I see something like that all I can think about is Crouch quote: "If it wasn't for Football, I be a Virgin"

I go to the tours in America and I tend to spend nice. Like the last Chelsea game against city I spent nearly 800 bucks. Cause I took my family. I think if I was not a fan I would not waste a penny on this damn team. For me is simple, a person here can not take an intellectual argument to challenge his views and thus ends up being label as "non Chelsea fan" Which is pathetic in itself.
-
Well the inferior complex are for those clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool that have a lot of history, but don't have the money or squad to attract players. But for me is simple. If Chelsea does not want to spend the release clause or more, then some other team will. Nothing too hard to understand about that.
-
You can write all you want but at the end money talks. And if real madrid wants to pay more he will go there. Not to mention the good wage packet is another important factor.
-
Oh people where asking if Real Madrid was interested in Cavani? Real Madrid join chase for Napoli striker Edinson Cavani http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jun/12/edinson-cavani-napoli-real-madrid I am like 90% sure we are NOT going to get him. With Mourinho conference, it looks more and more like we are going to rely more on younger players and spend less.
-
Well I thought they made their strategy known already? To win 5 trophies in the next 5 seasons. That is a very bold approach, I guess we can say something similar to what Chelsea aimed for a couple of years ago. Now we are more for developing younger players and paying less. So got to face it, we are no longer competing for top expensive players like before. I really think torres was our last expensive buy for quite a long time.
-
Well If Torres was firing like he was doing before then Sturridge would have gotten more time against the smaller side. Instead we had to waist that time to raise the princess confidence.
-
Well I think Matic is the only one player that we bought for potential that has done ok. Before that, everyone was very bad. With the exception of Sturridge, but his case of leaving was all down to Torres fault. Trying to play him a lot to get the best out of him frustrated a player like Sturridge. But Matic good improvement has shown that our club continues to spot good talent. Not everyone we buy we are able to retain. There are players we let go and we will wish we kept them. Every team and manager has done that in past. SAF with Stam, Barcelona letting some good players go for nothing. Real Madrid with a lot of their younger players. So it happens, no one is perfect. If you take that into account, the one major downfall for us was a bit of stability. In this perhaps I agree with Mourinho and the club. You need stability to help infuse these youngsters player into the team. Now is Mourinho the right coach for this? His past record does not help him, but a top manager in looking for a new challenge, such gamble is worth a short. My ideal manager would have been AVB as he has better skills in dealing with younger players and attractive football. Not to mention he has a better eye to spot potential talent. But it is what it is, and in Mourinho we will have some stability which is needed to help bring a couple of younger players into our team.

Now we know how it must felt being Liverpool and Arsenal fans when Roman came. What goes around comes around as the saying goes.
