  1. Slightly off topic but Sevilla's shirts are just horrible, almost as bad as the Liverpool kits. Both produced by those American cunts Warrior, way to go lads.
  2. Wasn't he supposed to get into politics or something after retiring from football? Anyway, if he's serious about getting in to coaching I would very much like to see Sheva in the Chelsea coaching team at some point. A likable character and a real gentleman.
  3. Yeah, not saying we should even consider selling him anytime soon because he is actually a pretty good defender against the typical English teams with not much flair and trickery but against the top sides we really should have better players than Cahill. Also the fact he qualifies as a homegrown player is important, not many of those left in the Chelsea squad when Terry, Lampard and Cole will be gone in a couple of years.
  4. I agree that Ba is a decent player but would you say he's good enough to lead the line for a team that hopes to challenge for the title? You have Van Persie and City have Agüero, just to put things into perspective. If the answer is no, then I really don't see much of a role for him in the team because we have Lukaku too. He will probably stay and fight for the place with Lukaku but I can see him moving on next year at the latest. He came into the side at a bad time when we desperately needed a stopgap striker to help us qualify for the Champions League but now Romelu is back, we have a new manager and might even have another striker coming in before the window closes. Kind of a shame because he really seems like a nice guy and is actually a pretty good player too but like I said, not good enough to lead us to trophies and not worth risking Lukaku's development either.
  5. Fair enough. The thing is, there would still be more than enough games available for Lukaku even if he was just our number two forward instead of Mourinho throwing him in the deep end with massive expectations. Our team is still very much in transition with the likes of Lukaku, Hazard, Schürrle, Oscar, De Bruyne, Moses, Van Ginkel, Azpilicueta, Kalas etc. all being well under 23 and relatively inexperienced at this level so in order to equally compete for the title with you guys and City we could use having a couple of more players who are currently in their prime and have more experience of winning things, Rooney would very much fit the bill. In the last decade Chelsea have had great success in the cup competitions so the team playing 60 games again this season is very much a reality so don't tell me with a straight face that Lukaku couldn't get enough playing time to progress if we got someone else to play first choice forward. Lukaku starting around 20 games combined in all competitions and coming off the bench in nearly all the others wouldn't be so bad for his development, now would it? And if the new forward, at this point most likely Rooney, would get injured then it would be Lukaku's chance to shine but if the club didn't buy anyone and Lukaku would get injured, what then? Trust Torres or Demba Ba to fire us to the title?
  6. Horrible, just horrible. And the worst thing is that just because he's English and by definition more of a no-nonsense kind of player rather than a flashy centreback who attacks a lot he usually doesn't get anywhere near as much stick as Luiz gets for his mistakes, which are becoming fewer and fewer if I might add.
  7. So basically you're saying Rooney isn't fit to play every game but would still be a threat to Lukaku's development because the Belgian wouldn't get enough playing time? You're contradicting yourself there, mate.
  8. Injured, eh Moyes? No coming back now after the AVB treatment. I can see him putting in the transfer request in a few days but not sooner because taking all the attention to himself so close to his mate Rio's big day tomorrow would be a cuntish move and no matter how hard he wants to leave the club I doubt he would be willing to ruin that. I say bid £30m again next week. Moyes has just played his hand by forcing the player to train with the reserveres and all this 'not for sale at any price' talk has gone down the drain.
  9. And this, my friends, is exactly what we should expect to happen in nearly every match against the big boys if we sell Luiz. Cahill might be a good fourth choice CB and a useful player to have in the squad but he simply put it isn't good enough to handle the likes of Ronaldo and other skillful forwards. Terry is not the same as he once was and Ivanovic will play a decent amount of games at RB so do some of the people saying we should sell DL to Barca really think Cahill is up to the task of being the club's first choice CB? As for the game itself, I don't mind the result too much. It's clear that Real Madrid deployed their best XI and we certainly did not so the scoreline could have been even worse. At least the lads got a decent workout in chasing Ronaldo all game.
  10. For fucks sake the game was supposed to kick off 25 minutes ago. These Americans and their commercials...
  11. No Mata, De Bruyne or Schürrle. Was hoping to see the strongest possible lineup available for the league opener next week and not an experiment with the 4-3-3 but I guess this will have to do.
  12. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/420406/Chelsea-to-move-for-Samuel-Eto-o-and-Willian-as-Anzhi-Makhachkala-plan-dramatic-clear-out Didn't take long for the lazy journalists to start linking Willian and Eto'o to Chelsea. Willian because we have supposedly been interested in him before and Eto'o because he has previously played under Jose. In case they didn't know we have already brought in two new players André Schürrle and Kevin De Bruyne for the attacking midfielder department so Willian wouldn't be needed in the slightest and Eto'o is making £350k a week at Anzhi which is twice as much as any player on the Chelsea payroll. Despite his age Eto'o might be a decent shout if we fail to get Rooney and the man was willing to take a massive paycut in order to get back to playing top level football but at the moment there are way too many variables to even start these silly transfer rumours.
  13. Maybe QPR will take him back for £12m again?
  14. Haha, didn't even realize there was something wrong with the picture. Wonder what happened to his hands, other than that minor fault the photo is legit.
  15. Kick-off at 4am, luckily I'm on holiday.
  16. Barcelona can just fuck off, he's not for sale. And even if we did reluctantly agree to sell Luiz, they couldn't afford to pay our asking price anyway so why even bother trying with these low-ball offers. The fact that Barcelona came close to paying €35m for an inexperienced 19-year-old centreback Marquinhos as well as being interested in buying Thiago Silva for a world record price for a defender tells us all we need to know and that is the fact there simply are not enough quality centrebacks available at this point in the transfer window. If we now sold Luiz even for €50m we'd still be fucked because there's no way we could get an adequate replacement in time for a reasonable price and we would most likely end up overspending on a replacement who might not be even half as good as Luiz is. The only realistic option I could think of who would be good enough is Eliaquim Mangala but knowing Porto we'd have to cough up €40m for him so there really is not point in selling at the moment. I'd be willing to let him go if he submitted an official transfer request but if he doesn't mind staying there's no way selling him would be a good decision.
  17. Dear God not the old shirt sale argument again, hasn't that logic been proven wrong more than once already? If you really think the club makes a £60 profit on all shirts sold at £60 a pop you're in way over your head here. When we remove all the manufacturing costs and other expenses the profit from a single shirt is not tht significant anymore. Also from every shirt sold Adidas take a huge cut, the taxman takes a cut and I would guess the main sponsor Samsung also get something. Whatever small amount is left for the club after everyone else have taken their shares the player whose shirt is sold also gets a slice out of. If we also take in account that most of the people buying the shirts are Chelsea fans who would buy the club shirt regardless of whose name is printed on the back, the club will have to sell A LOT of fucking shirts to cover even 10 percent of the expenses that acquiring such a high profile player takes.
  18. Apparently they also sacked their new manager Rene Meulensteen, Ferguson's old assistant at United. He was appointed as the Anzhi manager only 16 days ago. What's going on there?
  19. Cech Azpi - Ivanovic - Terry - Cole Ramires - MvG KdB - Oscar- Hazard Lukaku Here's my choice for the starting lineup. Apart from maybe including Luiz in the if he's fit this is the team I'd like to see start against Hull next week so it would be good to test them together against a top class opposition first.
  20. Schurrle—"As a kid, I had a Chelsea shirt with Lampard's name on it. So, after I signed here, my mum said to me: When you were young, you were always running around with your Lampard shirt on and now he is your team-mate!" Always nice to have players who supported the club as a kid.
