That's very interesting to know, didn't know anything about that international selection thing. You might be right, and as Conte himself said when he first arrived, that he would prefer to kill a player who doesn't give his all. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

It's because saying this publicly puts more negative spotlight on the club, more pressure on himself and affects the squad negatively I presume.

Well this has now come to a point where I wish he would just shut up. With things like these it's difficult not to think that he wants the sack. He's basically calling the board and the players shit while bigging up himself. Last season he was different, much humbler, now it looks like he just doesn't give a fuck anymore. I can't imagine it rubbing off any positive mood to the squad, especially what he said there about "not smiling while working hard". He's like Rihanna with all this work talk.

Yeah... Morata, De Bruyne, Salah and Hazard in attack with Kante and Matic behind them. Our team could have been absolutely sick, now it's just shit.

The more it looks like it was a bad decision letting Michy go, but we wouldn't have got Giroud If we didn't. What a clusterfuck.. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

Tbh Emerson I understand. He's been away for LONG, starting so soon might not have been the best for him or the team in general. Giroud on the other hand? I tend to agree, having a half-fit striker, who is just continuing from where he left off in the same league, is better than leaving our most dangerous player facing 5 players on his own.

Many players are shit and look scared to do anything under Mourinho. The big combative battlers thrive under him, that's why he had a hard-on on Ivanovic. But Salah isn't his kind of player, not one bit. Players like him (and attackers in general) tend to become lost under him. With proper attacking patterns players like him thrive, Mourinho needs "magicians" who can do it on their own, rather than somebody who relies on teamwork and intricate passing to get the best out of him. Salah always had the ingredients to become who he has become - he's freakishly quick, his technique was solid even for us, doesn't need somebody telling him where the goal is. He was young and needed nurturing and faith, but most of all a manager NOT like Mourinho, who doesn't give a fuck what you do as long as you track back. We lost KDB for the exact same reason, he looked lost for us for exactly the same reason. We did not make much of those sales back then because we genuinely thought they were crap, but really they just weren't built for our team. It could have been different, with a different coach, but what's done is done. The Willians and Pedros of this world are built for this team now.

Back in those days the forum was different and not many would put up with posts like these abusing our legends. However the likes of Anelkalouda, Bosingwa and Mikel got stick daily, not much different from today. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

No Bakayoko, means we have a chance. Slight, but still a chance.

I'm glad he has stayed here so long, but it's a bit sad that he has pretty much wasted himself here. Sure, 2 EPL titles in 6 years is cool and all (not really), but we never kicked on after that CL win - the reason why he joined in first place, thinking we were ambitious and going places. He couldn't have been more wrong. We haven't challenged for the CL since, have been in decline and the club implodes after every successful period. No sustainable success, just scraps here and there with subpar players and subdued performances. For me he is a legend for sticking with us through all that (possibly because of false hopes or promises), but nevertheless he has shown more loyalty than some others who enjoy legendary status. I wouldn't blame him at all if he left this summer, I would too if somebody better came calling.

No. I think he plays him because he thinks he's the best option. He must be doing something right in training, but continually crumbles during games.

Missed the game, take it we played well but were unlucky.

I think it's time we stop assessing players based on if they fit Conte's system, it looks increasingly unlikely he'll be here next season. What system does Luis Enrique play?
-
Can't wait to see high balls to Hazard again.

Grossly misworded quote, typical. Asked if he was happy with the club's business, Conte replied: "It's not important. I'm not happy [with the result]. The transfer market is not important. Now we have to focus on the work. Players go, players come. It doesn't change."

Having a nr.1 goalkeeper like Willy is disaster long-term. There is a reason he wasn't first choice at City with only Bravo his competition, both are backup level in a top club and both seem to understand it. He'd insert too much insecurity in us with him flapping at every ball coming into the box. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

Sell one of Pedro or Willian and give the spot to one of our youngsters. Hudson, Musonda, Boga.. whoever, can't keep ignoring the talents. There is no point in signing average semi-established players to block them, waste of money unless the signing is of far superior quality. Throw one in the deep end and see what sticks, we have never actually tried that, but in these times it makes more sense than ever. Hudson-Odoi was exciting, a breath of fresh air, we need that. I think he had the first shot on goal for us, two in quick succession even. Nobody yesterday showed that kind of drive that he injected, and we had Hazard on the pitch. Something to think about... I'm tired of signing middle of the road players that don't elevate us and couldn't give less shit about the club. At least our boys would play their hearts out. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

I don't understand what he means by playing on the right or left in a midfield 3. The pivot? Wing-back?
-
What a dumb article. Written on 30th when links to Carroll had died out ages ago and we were on the brink of signing Giroud, like we eventually did. Why not write about him instead? Anyway, the answer to the posed question is NO.

Have to admit it is annoying with all the attention whoring. Glad I've managed to stay away from it and have no active social media accounts.
