We are actually quite good coming out from the back, definitely better than anything we saw under Mourinho. This difference was the first thing I noticed with Conte's arrival. The problem arises once we get to midfield, due to lack of quality or coaching or whatever reasons, we hit a wall or make a simple mistake and have to face pressure again. We simply don't have the midfield to connect our back to front fluidly. Fabregas is not mobile enough, he's one of the bottlenecks in our midfield. I haven't seen him in China at all, but I saw him plenty at Chelsea to say for sure that he's the type of player who will decline quickly and irreversibly as he gets older, it already began with us. Pace and stamina was his game - these are the first attributes to go with age and he doesn't have any redeeming qualities to alter his game and make up for it. Sick and tired of constantly playing 3 CBs even when fucking losing, even against championship teams and relegation fodder. We have no tactical flexibility and are so predictable. I want to see us being a 2 CB team again ASAP, with these players having the ability to switch to 3 CB when needed being a bonus.

They will not have much choice with Courtois and Hazard leaving, maybe someone more. Unless they opt to replace them with youth, which I doubt. Losing Conte, Tibo and Hazard all at once will place us equal with Wenger's Arsenal, but if they get a new manager then we could end up even below them because their squad will be miles ahead.
