I think he would have been a comfortable golden boot winner had he played more, maybe with one or two more goals. I don't think he had even a single full game. Don't understand why Fabregas (or Negredo) was preferred over him, he was useless as a forward and everytime Torres came on, Spain looked a lot sharper.

Bertrand hasn't broken through yet. Yes, he had a few games under his belt due to the conditions of the team (he played whenever Cole needed rest at the end of the season and in the final against Bayern he played because Ramires was suspended, under AVB all of this would have been unthinkable). Once Cole is sold/retires, we might sign someone who overtakes Bertrand's position, and that would most likely be the end of his Chelsea career. Or we will get a new manager in a year or two who doesn't rate him or ignores him. I will say that Bertrand has really broken through when he is trusted more often and if he successfully succeeds Cole. At the moment, it looks likely that he will succeed, but you never know.

Creativity, as I see it, is when you create things obviously, not destroy (what defenders and defensive mids are supposed to do). A creative player, for me, is someone who finds the right positions to receive and the right passes to give, let it be by creating a goal-scoring opportunity or changing flanks if it's the best option, doesn't matter, as long as it contributes to the team creating an attack. Having said that, I wouldn't mind Marchisio. He's someone Mourinho would have gladly taken back in the days.

One thing that worries me a bit is that AVB got invaluable experience at Chelsea. He accomodated to the Premier League, learned that his tactical stubborness won't amount to anything, he played his first Champions League games (not that it will matter for Spurs, but an experience nevertheless), he had his first encounter with true superstars (smth that spurs don't have), high expectancy and pressure. True, he failed, but if he is as smart as people say he is, he will have learned from his mistakes and will avoid touching the hot stove twice in a row. Plus he will have smaller expectations, a more patient owner and he will try to prove everybody wrong and redeem his reputation... And he would actually have some decent players suitable for a quicker game. As much as I would like to think that AVB would dig his own grave again (not that I want him to crash and burn, but it's Sp*rs, come on!), I don't think it would be as likely as it was with Chelsea. I think sperms are a good stepping stone for him if he indeed succeeds.
