  1. Porto was his big breakthrough and people can talk about it as much as they want, but what he did at Leiria(?) gets constantly overlooked because he didn't win anything with them, but what he did there with no money or outstanding talent whatsoever was special. 2. Somewhy my Billy McCulloch thread was closed so I can't post there, but I must share this, just so funny According to Jose Billy gave the team talk
  3. Agreed. In yesterday's post-match interview he praised individuals, he doesn't do that often, but this makes it just this bit more special for the players to hear. "When the team needed, Petr was there. Ivanovic to score that goal as a defender was fantastic. Central defenders were immaculate. Azpilicueta against Speedy Gonzalez, because Jesus is unbelievably fast, Azpilicueta did a fantastic job." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rcpvssr81U "The players are everything, the plan is just something to try to help them, but the players are everything." "Is a team to defend when they have the ball, and is a team to attack when we have the ball." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbnX0p0C0zY
  4. Got mad praise from ex-colleague Jamie Carragher, that should count for something.
  5. He was the tankest tank out there. This is the kind of game that suits him. And that goal came literally out of nowhere, he won us the game with that rare beauty. Yet again we score from the toughest possible position but fluff the obvious ones
  6. I liked how City defenders had this block from tackling him further than the halfway line. They knew most of their attempts would end in conceding a free-kick and they had to stop him dirty at a safe distance. I recall there was this one time when he had like 3-4 players trying to stop him around the middle of the pitch but he just swivelled away and out of nowhere we suddenly had options to make this a productive attack. There was one, maybe two times when he frustrated me by not shooting, for example when instead of shooting a rebound he backheeled it to nobody. We may regret not getting Agüero, but man am I glad at least Hazard is on our side.
  7. City kept banging from our left side because on the right we had a big "RESTRICTED AREA" sign in the form of Brana, Luiz and Ramires. We were a bit more suspect on the left but Dave managed it well, considering who he was playing against. I also loved the cover he got from Hazard, gone are the times when we had those 1v2 situations on the back flanks.
  8. Once Toure fucks off Matic will be the new Yaya of the league.
  9. THANK YOU. Do people expect Jose to bend over and take it in the stinker? Whenever he speaks the truth it's "mind games this and mind games that". Well I'd rather have this than a disinterested interim head coach trying to get along with everybody like a freshman in school. I'm glad he slammed Wet Sham, they're a shit club and they deserve every piss take they get, hypocritical or not. I'm glad he's getting criticized though, because he can take it. When's the last time we've heard anything bad about our players? Exactly, they have no time for that anymore, Mouro has their hands full. Just like old times. EDIT: Almost forgot - Jose is a genius.
  10. Did it have a deadline for collecting? If yes, then prove it. If no, I will claim it.
  11. We had more shots on goal than them, a simple logic to refute their claim is by stating the fact that buses don't shoot. Also what makes people say we played three defensive midfielders? Since when do defensive mids run down the wing and end up in the box on every attack (Ramires)? Or are they talking about Mikel, who played like 2 seconds in total?
  12. First of all a big FUCK YOU to all the doubters and naysayers. Fuck you to EVERYBODY who didn't even entertain the thought that we might actually do it. Fuck you to all who wrote us out of the FA Cup after finding out we drew City for the next round. All of you classless pricks have been fondling my nerves for the past few days. I'm not even talking about opposition fans, it's normal for them to be confident and slag us off, I'm talking about the so-called fans on here, on TalkChelsea. I bet you're the first in line to reinstate our "title contender" status now, aren't you? After absolutely beating "your" team down after every draw or loss, you're the first in line to criticize our manager and the first to suck his balls when something goes right you fucking glory hunting SCUM. You clueless shits will never learn, you probably weren't even here in Mourinho's first stint. You know who you are. Now that I got this out of my system, a few words about the game itself. It was class, absolutely brilliant and classic Mourinho team performance. Everybody did their jobs and I simply enjoyed watching City players squirm in frustration, wholeheartedly loved it. Choosing the man of the match was tough, I was considering Hazard Brana and Matic for it, but in the end I decided to give it to the man who was thrown in the deep end on his first full debut - Matic. Ivanovic was brilliant throughout, even if you take the goal away, he was a mountain, as was Cahill and everybody else to be honest. Soooo happy and pleased
  13. A readworthy post by a goon from Arsenal Mania. http://arsenal-mania.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=318322&start=5580
  14. That's sweet, they think we're gonna play without a defensive midfielder. Fortunately it's not an AVB team anymore.
  15. I like Hazard on the wings. He has more room to run into and do damage on their flanks. You aren't really given enough time to think or hold the ball when you're charging through the middle and most of the time, against compact solid teams, you end up passing it sideways to someone for an answer because there's more room and time to cook something up. I'd rather that someone was Hazard, he's given me no reason to think otherwise. Plus there's the defensive side of things as well - I'd rather someone more reliable occupied that space (Oscar).
  16. Kagawa would make sense to capture the Japanese market. When's the last time we had a Japanese player, if at all? It's a huge unexplored market. Of course it's not gonna happen, we're gonna have to wait for our Asian breakthrough.
  17. Lmao, as if they're any better than Barca or Bayern who have never thumped us. I predict 5-0 for us.
  18. He looks kinda old. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  19. Might get triple this amount in a few years. A low risk signing for our financial machine.
  20. You need to give a source at least. Who are their natural replacements? I know about Džeko for Agüero but what about the other two?
  21. Yes, that spot is taken by Chalobah apparently.
  22. I'm sure St. Etienne want to sabotage their chances for 3rd place. Anyway, I just hope people stop comparing young talented boys to [insert a club legend name here] and especially saying things like "future captain of this and that". I've heard such things throughout the years more than I care to admit and guess what, rarely do I see such huge expectations have any positive outcome. Sure he may be an exception, but it still tickles me the wrong way, because people expect youngsters to follow in someone else's footsteps and force them to copy their past legends. Just let Zouma come in and stop polluting his mind by letting him think he's the best there already is and that his future captaincy is a given. Welcome to the club, pal. I hope you succeed in your own way.
