  1. Where would we fit him? Would he or Oscar accept playing second fiddle to the other? Or should we offload Oscar to accomodate him? In theory it would be good to have both, but I don't think that would work very well. Yes, you could say that throughout the season both would get a respectable amount of games, but we all know that when Jose finds his starting XI, he doesn't let go of it very lightly. One of them would be reduced to bit-part player like Luiz, Mikel or Mata last season and for an ambitious player that's not good enough.
  2. His reaction when he officially became the top scorer. That dawg
  3. I expect one of his first few touches for us to be some kind of jaw-dropping through ball or assist. A misplaced pass and I will label him a flop and throw in the 'overhyped' bin.
  4. Well shiiet Alex, you disagreeing with me automatically makes me The Chagrined One innit?
  5. I agree, 6 is not enough throughout the whole season. An injury here, a suspension there, and before we know we're playing Mikel at CB. I remember Jose once talked about how he sees a balance in a squad, and I believe he said that there should be at least one direct backup for each position, so 4 centre-backs and 4 full-backs.
  6. Preposterous proposal! Discrimination! It's bad enough men can't have babies, now you want even more inequality. I should sue you in some kind of human rights court for trying to divide and breed hostility in our great democratic, tolerant, liberal Western family. Racist.
  7. It's an award because controversies have always been held in high regard over here, at least I think so. Those people, although easy targets for mockery and abuse, provide something different and liven things up. Despite what people say I enjoy the bushmans and Henriques because they either a) are funny, b.) provide interesting reading. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that this is the de facto member of the year award.
  8. She is blatantly hot for Shirley just look at her checking him out on the upper right gif, undressing him with her eyes. Must be special for a woman to be with a world champion and a nation's hero. Must be even more special to be one. But anyway, it might just be a knee-jerk by me, but Schürrle > Willian anyone? Tbh I thought that towards the end of last season as well, because Willian was barely producing anything, but I kept my opinion fairly quiet because I wasn't too sure about Andre either (especially since he's not a RW and a certain Eden plays in his natural position). But now, knee-jerk or not, I want our world champ to play moar!
  9. If even Maradona says that. I also didn't see any faintest smile on Messi when accepting the award... you could say it was because he had just lost, but I also think he knew he didn't deserve it. There was no pride in him when he stood up there with his trophy. This award should be given to the losing team only if they have unarguably the most outstanding performer - Messi was far from that and it took the prestige away from this award with a sulking and depressed player accepting it.
  10. I vote for Term-X, because I think having been left out of his annual appearance is madly controversial.
  11. Yeah but unsurprisingly he choked.
  12. Not sure why he got the MVP award, shouldn't it be traditionally from the winning team? One of Müller or Kroos would have been excellent and more appropriate shouts, but considering Kroos didn't have the best in the final and Müller was fantastic throughout, I would have given it to him. Messi definitely deserves a place in the team of the tournament, but in the end he was still a loser, thus not worthy of gold anything. I believe it's FIFA's way of trying to force a new 'Maradona' down our throats.
  13. Happy for the lad. A very efficient and intelligent guy, glad we have him.
  14. I'll leave many of the categories unnominated, because I simply don't read enough to be able to form any kind of opinions about most. Best staff member - CHOULO and Steve Funniest forumer - Spike Spiegel Most-liked forumer - Muszchap, Barbara Most controversial - bushman International Member of the Year - Barbara for her frequent long ass posts that I often don't read but assume are good. So that's it, the end of my knowledge
  15. He seems nice until you face him on the pitch I guarantee that. If I was a footballer and had to face him I'd rather harass ivanovic, which in itself isn't a good idea either. I hope this kid becomes something special, I like defenders like him.
  16. I'm just gonna comment the title. Crisis? Not by a long shot. Some problems? Yes, some here and some there. But still, crisis? No.
  17. @, you liked my post you dawg you! Remember when we and our gang we're tearing this place up? GOOD TIMES Addendum: It's happened, I have finally mixed up "were" and "we're". Not even the greatest are exempt from this lurking danger.
  18. Just posting to subliminally remind people that I exist. :tophat:
  19. This black guy is probably some African with fake birth certificate. Like Eto'o.
  20. Probably a good choice for backup, young, homegrown yada yada... But to be a bang-on starter for a team challenging for all the cups, the league and champions league? No. But with Cole leaving and Bertrand's future unclear and if PVA keeps getting overlooked, then we actually need a backup left-back too.
  21. It doesn't for us, but I think it has some marketing value. For example nr 9 probably sells better than 39 or whatever. I'm not sure, but it might.
  22. Well, it's only good that we have those options now. Last season we had only one option and it showed. I'm glad Rambo is available for us, but I wasn't glad when he was the only one available.
