Truth is with this team we should have never been in the semi-finals, we should have gone out against PSG or maybe even earlier. We shouldn't be contending for the league, we should have lost against City and Liverpool and have it over much sooner. It's our manager we have to thank for taking us this far, I haven't felt more proud of the team for some time now. During the Rafa period I was completely alienated from the team, the drop from the joy of winning the Champions League with Robbie and then sinking into total apathy with Rafa was too much. Now hope and feeling of joy is back, even if we don't win anything. We've already come close to two of the biggest prizes with very limited quality. If it wasn't for Jose, we'd have got someone else and he'd be sacked by summer, then we'd get another manager for next season and this charade would go on and on. No trying to build the team, just managers trying to hang on for their lives and patch things up for quick success, then leave a rotting team for the next one to start patching. If Jose actually gets time and peace of mind to do his thing, I'm confident we're gonna be swimming in trophies and enjoying our football.

Atletico are no Sunderland, they're probably a reputable enough name and Champions League semis is probably a big enough stage for the players to give a fuck. I personally am at a stage where I'm more scared of Colchester United than anybody we face in the CL.

I miss him very much. It pains me seeing Ivanovic getting 3 touches every single attack when we're trying to break teams down. The full-backs are super important against deep defensive teams in building up attacks, because more often than not they get the most space to operate and it was very clear against Sunderland, our full-backs got probably the most passes from our midfielders. Ash on the left and Dave on the right would be so much better in certain games in my opinion. I think this is one of our weakest points and one of the reasons we struggle against defensive teams - we are relying on a centre-back and a right back playing on the left to break teams down. I mean what the fuck, Ash can't be so bad, can he? The last two games he played (both against stoke i believe) he was very lively and useful. Ivan and Azpi on the other hand look like they can barely run at times.

Shots on target aren't automatically chances. Well, I guess it depends on how you define a "chance", but for me a chance is a realistic opportunity to score, not balls rolling harmlessly into the goalkeeper's hands at 5 km/h, which reflects in the stats as a shot on target.

It's funny, I remember that after our few losses and draws people were saying the title race was over. I admit, after the last time we dropped points I was one of them. It's funny to think that despite what's happened, we are realistically contemplating winning the two biggest trophies possible. We've had quite a few seasons like this, they never turned out like we had hoped, let's hope this time it does. It could end up being our most memorable season or one to forget. All we have to do is win all our remaining games, sounds simple enough

How did we only win by 1 goal against a 10 man Swansea with the chances we had is beyond me, but pretty or not, a win is a win.
