  1. NOOOO ANYONE BUT WILSHERE Seriously hate him, such an overrated player..
  2. Who scored Arsenals goal? Surely Giroud/Ozil/Ramsey, my fantasy football team will get even more points...
  3. Thats because Rami and Lamps are too similar, both are box to box midfielders who like to get up and support the strikers but Ramires is capable of recovering due to his speed and mobility unlike Lampard who often tries to foul players/shirt tug them back. I didn't see the game today but I've seen Lampard do this far too often, especially last season.
  4. He lacks upper body strength. Against Anzhi he looked to play his way out of trouble but he is very weak for a CB. Looked slow at times, let him stay at Spuds... the comments though are funny.
  5. Would hardly say Jose is saying 'hes crap' by picking him out in a press conference. Jose's just telling him he has some work to do, which he does based on his performances since after pre-season. He did the same with Mata, hes basically said that Lukaku isn't ready to play for Chelsea in a press conference as well saying 'thats it different playing for Everton than it is for Chelsea'..... its not that hes saying player X is shit and so is player Y its that players X and Y have to work...
  6. True but hes the only natural right winger we have. Schurrle is a left winger, even though he can play on the right. Anyway is Hazard going to be missing this game? He shouldn't start anyway, Schurrle was immense vs Steaua. Mata on the right and Oscar/KdB in the middle.
  7. Was the same for Christian Eriksen with us...
  8. Offer Klopp 30m plus some Jacobs crackers.... should accept that.
  9. Another kid we could have potentially had for free but no we will have to pay at least 10-15m for..
  10. I reckon he'll get 15 goals this year in all competitions at least. Hes more than capable, so lets just see how it goes.
  11. If Real Madrid are willing to spend 40m on Illarramendi then I'd be more than happy to spend 40m on Gundogan. Twice the player Illarra is. Ilkay made Madrid's midfield look abysmal vs Dortmund, over both legs he was superb..
  12. ITS AN OUTRAGE, THE WORLD IS GONNA END!!!!!! JOSE WALKED OUT OF HIS PRESSER THE WORLD IS TEMPTED TO EAT ITSELF AHHWTIATWBHTASTIASS RUNNNNNNNNN Thats what the media are making it out to be like, well not really, I just thought I'd do that. What a twat I am. Anyway the media are tools, always will be, ask Jose questions about Mata (like usual ) or about the team, simple.
  13. Sure sometimes hes out of position trying to press the ball but thats because hes exposed at times.
  14. I never said its bullshit, I just said Mikel doesn't need to do more than what hes already doing. He does his role well and its important to the team.
  15. What do you want from a holding midfielder? Do you understand their role in the team? They are there to break up play, fill gaps when CBs go up the field, offer an option for their team mates in possession and ultimately RETAIN POSSESSION. He doesn't have to 'hurt the opponents' with his passing. I'm sick of all this bullshit he has to 'hurt opponents' as you put it, with his passing. Even against Spurs he played 3 class long passes that we nearly got chances from but no thats not threatening an opponent? When AVB arrived as our coach he talked about his philosophy to some journalist, talked about his how he likes his defensive midfielder be able to surprise opponents and play long diagonals to the full backs/wingers and since Sergio Busquets plays passes that take out 4 or 5 players a time, its set the standard ridiculously high for a holding midfielder I feel. I think some people need to settle down with all these expectations for holding midfielders, Mikel does his job very well, hes one of the best in the PL, we are so much more calmer with him in the team. Hes been vital for our team for years, if you can't see it then I don't know.
  16. I seen 'Mata has looked average in the CL for a while now' somewhere and now I've lost all faith in this thread. Best player vs Nordsjaelland in both games last season, probably against Shakhtar in one of those two games as well. In that 3-0 loss vs Juventus he and Oscar were our brightest players too. Biggest influence in most of our games in Europe since he arrived bar Drogba's performances vs Bayern, vs Napoli and both legs vs Barcelona. If people don't start appreciating Mata now for what he truly is they never will.
  17. Won't hear me say this very often but start Torres......
  18. Tbh if Torres is getting a 3 game ban extension for the red he got where one yellow was that stupid 'scratch' as people are calling it, then why didn't Vertonghen not get a second yellow for shoving Torres (when he won a free kick for holding Torres shirt by the way)? I've looked at the Torres thing about 50 times now, it looks stupid but he doesn't really scratch as what is being made out, there is no mark left on Jan Vertonghen's face... plus when Vertonghen floored Rami when he was effectively clean through, he should have seen red, utter wank performance from the ref in the second half even though its perhaps not all his fault as Jose said as Vertonghen was holding his head and perhaps dived for Torres' first yellow (everyone says its a Torres trip but he doesn't break his stride when hes running by the looks of it). Anyway Vertonghen is a defender, he's playing in a position where you are the least likely to see a player dive but what does he do, fucking dive. Absolute shambles. Also I don't if Torres doesn't score 30 goals a season, if he plays like he did second half whenever he plays, I will be immensely happy. Best performance in a Chelsea shirt for me. He had fire in his belly, he wanted to be involved, he wanted to take people on, he honestly had Vertonghen and Dawson shitting themselves until CUNT got him sent off. Obviously since its Nando we can't expect that every week or perhaps ever again haha but if he can play that well for a prolonged period of time then great. Mourinho is more than capable of motivating players as we've seen before in his career so who knows? But I doubt it very much sadly.
  19. Yet some people say he only passes backwards/sideways loooooooooooooooooooooool
  20. I think at the moment they are relying heavily on the good form of Mertesacker, Ramsey, Ozil and Giroud. Those 4 are carrying Arsenal at the moment. If we can stop Ozil, Ramsey and Giroud I have a feeling we will easily beat them.
  21. Chelsea played good for 20 or 30 minutes against a newly promoted side who were all over the place in those 20-30 minutes. As mentioned by many people on here, De Bruyne was almost invisible against a League 1 team. For someone who has got something special and always able to create chances he was very very poor. He needs to wait and prove himself, unlike at Bremen and Genk where he was arguably the best player. It meant his standards could slip still and he'd play 90 minutes as they didn't have anyone better to use. Being at a big club that will have to change. Hes playing for his next minutes in the team. He doesn't offer anything that we don't already have either, he isn't a winger, he's an attacking midfielder, plays in between the lines, might start on the right but primarily comes inside to link up with Mata/Oscar/whoever in comparison to Schurrle who is a winger. Like Mourinho did at Madrid he had: Ronaldo - Ozil - Di Maria. - Ronaldo played as an inside forward/inverted winger who did the odd bit of work defensive at times but not very much. - Ozil played the number 10 role made himself available to take the ball from the pivot. - Di Maria played as a winger, offering width but most importantly he ran back helping Arbeloa out. I think hes trying to recreate that at Chelsea with Hazard - Oscar - Schurrle, Hazard playing a role similar to Ronaldo's obviously with a bit more off the ball work, Oscar playing the #10 role but in the industrious way like he does for Brazil pressing high up and Schurrle offering width, running back to help Ivanovic. Sure he can get the same from Mata on the right and Kevin on the right as well and I think we will see Mata in that role more with Schurrle coming on at times to stretch teams when we are too narrow. Obviously Mourinho played low block at Madrid and on the counter but he's changing his philosophy, he wants a high block and high pressing so perhaps Kevin also has work to do with his defensive input as well as his offensive input. He ran so many miles in the Bundesliga last year but that was last year.
  22. Fucking hate seeing players do this, never mind one of our loanees. Disgraceful stuff, no wonder he did it though Diego Simeone is his manager, guy is a thug, always will be.
  23. I've made too many transfers already, I'd probably have a billion more points if I wasn't so impatient with players.... now if I go to put Ramsey in my team I bet you he breaks his leg next week or something... also taking Hazard out now bet he decides to score a hattrick next game too..
  24. Ruining De Bruyne? I thought Jose was perhaps going to ruin Mata but based on what I seen vs Swindon and Spurs, he's improved his overall game. Sure some teams set up with a lot protection in midfield so certain players can wander and do whatever they want but how good was it to see Mata change and see him pressuring the ball when we lost it giving we have seen a very lazy Juan Mata in terms of off the ball work? I wasn't happy with Oscar starting as a 10 and Mata out the team as we lost quality but I got it. We might lack a bit of quality but at least we can press high up and put a lot of pressure on. Maybe its the same with Kevin? Chelsea haven't ruined anyone, Lukaku will come back here next summer as a 21 year old, going to a World Cup after scoring close to 15-20 goals for Everton, he'll come back a better player as he was playing regular games week in week out, as opposed to 2 games a month. The same with Courtois, Kevin can do the same if he works harder, as based on how he played vs United and Swindon he has a lot of work to do. Also a journalist has confirmed that Kev isn't happy about training with the u21s.. also stuff on who wanted to sign him this summer.
